Cherryville, Elton's Bar, 4:45 PM.

An old man is sitting against the bar on one of the faulty stools. He watched the local channel, broadcasting daytime soap opera. Suddenly the broadcast was cut and interrupted by a news segment from the homeland security NSA.

"We urge all American citizens to remain within their homes and lock there doors. They are not to contact or trust afflicted individuals showing symptoms of Ebola, we believe this new mutated form is a hundred times deadlier than the primitive disease we know 2 weeks ago.

Please avoid physical contact with others and be advised until further instructions. This is Jerry Sigmund speaker of the NSA and CDC. God help us"

The old man was indifferent to the news piece as he yelled at the bartender to switch the channel. The bartender didn't respond, he was dormant and silent. Then suddenly he lunged at the old man and bit his flesh clean off the bones. The old man screamed, as it echoes alongside other screams all over Cherryville.

Ellie woke up in a dark place. All that she knew is that she couldn't sit up, and there was a limited amount of air. She was scared. "Hello?! Is anyone there?!" she yelled out once.
((Basically she's in a morgue drawer in the clinic...))

Richard was out in the woods adjacent to the town, he was cutting wood the old fashioned way. He was almost done for the day before the sight of a car slowing down and stopping on the distant highway caught his attention. He was a good Samaritan most of the time, he held his axe sideways and wiped the sweat off his face.

He walked over to the Toyota Prius.

It was starting to get late in the evening and the sun had started going down and Matthew had been lying on the couch in the living room fast asleep watching a marathon of 21 days later. He quickly awoken just as a message came over the television warning everyone to stay in their houses, as it was playing he grabbed the remote and turned the volume up. He turned the channel only to see the message had been broadcasting over every station repeating the warning.

Matthew was never one to just believe anything he was told not even on the television, but it was never a bad thing to be too careful. The boy sprung off of the couch and went to check every door, he checked the back, the front, even the windows.

Lee was at home watching TV just like every other useless adult out there. His parents had left for there honey moon earlier in the day. He wasn't really mad at his parents, even thought this was only 1 of the 3 opportunitys he had to see his family, but it was nice to have some peace and quiet for once in the house.

Lee continued to flip through channels, not really satisfied with anything on TV. Not until a large beeping noise came from his TV.

It was on every channel, repeated on every channel. Lee did not take it seriously, the only precautions Lee really took was locking all doors and windows, and making sure that he had enough Twinkies to last him however long this shut in would last.

She sighed, looking up at the ceiling. She saw a button and pressed it, and there was light. The door was open, and whatever she was lying on slid out. She got up and looked around. It seemed like she was in the clinic. She saw a door and walked out and into the clinic; no one there. She saw the message on the TV screens.
Well, she didn't really have a home did she?
She found a closet and changed into some nurse clothes and an operator's saw, then walked out of the clinic. And towards the pharmacy. She hurt all over, and she thought it'd might be a safe place as of now.

Leon was laying lazily on one of the couches in the station when the TV nearby had started playing the warning. The station was mostly empty now save for him and a few others, a fire in one of the res areas took two of the trucks out and he and those staying behind were on standby in case they were needed. He was the only one in the living area at the moment, so he didn't know if any of the others were hearing the message but he was sure if it was as important as they were making it sound they would've gotten a call or something..

RIchard approached the hybrid car, the windshield was foggy, he couldn't make the figure behind the steering wheel. It seemed to struggle. Richard slowly moved to the driver's door and knocked on the window.

"Everything alright Ma'am, Sir," he asked to no answer but subtle groans. Then the figure behind the glass started banging its head against the window. Richard thought the driver might be suffocating or having some kind of seizure. He tried to open the door but it was locked, worrying the driver might get hurt he broke the window with the axe, making sure he didn't hit the driver.

The glass was shattered, and before him the sight of a ghoulish person froze the liquids in his spine. It was bleeding, and it looked devilish. He was taken aback. Holding his axe in a defensive manner.

Celeste found herself resting atop a random building in the little city of Cherryville. The building was the only diner in Cherryville. Soon as she rest there, swinging her legs back and forth a police officer approached her. "Hey you! Get down from there and get inside. You have heard the Ebola announcement right?" The officer's partner slowly started walking up behind him. Two officers? She was in trouble now, but they also said something about Ebola. Did some stupid announcement say that that someone nearby had that dumb disease? Oh well, as far as Celeste cared, that disease was just another stupid AIDS thing that would blow over soon.

"Sorry I will come down and 'get inside'." She said sarcastically. She might as well go find out what was causing all the ruckus. "You and your partner don't need to get me in trouble, I am on my way down." As Celeste said that the officer seemed confused and began to turn around. Just as he started to turn, the other officer lunged at him, trying to bite at him. Celeste was horrified and stood up, wanting to run but she seemed stuck looking on at the gross scene.

"Run girl! Ebola is infecting everyone! God help us!" That was the officer's last statement as the other one was now atop him feasting on his face. Celeste had a horrified look on her face as she watched. A disgusting feeling in her stomach. It wasn't until the now dead officer begin to stand that she turned away. She had to get back home, unfortunately her parents were out of town. Luckily she lived right near the diner, but she had to run past the officers. They shambled pretty slowly so she hopped down from the building when they were still entangled atop each other. Running inside, she locked all the doors, grabbed her climbing ice axe, and flipped on the television to hear the same horrific statement the man had said.

"God save us...."

"What the hell is going on" Matt said as he sat back on the couch. All he could do was wait for another announcement as he sat back on the couch and wached the television impatiently. He could the people outside as almost seemed to be screaming for bloody murder, and the sound of it was enough to make anyone jump. He ran upstairs and grabbed his gun from his closet and turned off the lights, the only thing that made any light was the tv.

Minsu checked his designer watch yet again. 4:50 PM. Only ten more minutes until he was free from his job at the local pharmacy. The store had been unusually busy all day; worried parents buying face masks, gloves, and medicine. Minsu, too shy to ask, was unable to figure out why so many people were going crazy. Had the flu been going around lately? He wasn't sure. Drumming his slim fingers on the counter, he reached for his bottle of water.

"Maybe I should try to find out what's going on after work ends, huh."

Celeste knew what was going on now, and she knew she had to capitalize off of her early thinking. She had a crazed look in her eyes, after all, she just saw a human eat another man. She thread her ice axe through her hoodie and made her way outside with a bandana on to cover her mouth from any body fluids that might hold the disease. She had to sprint past the two officers at the diner. She used to be a runner which gave her a bit of an edge against the slow crazy people. She avoided a few other people in the streets before coming to the doors of the pharmacy. Celeste burst inside, rushing to one of the shelves with a pillow case in hand and her ice axe in the other. She started filling the bag with antiobiotics and random medicines. She ignored the fact that there was still a store clerk there as she continued filling the case. Celeste planned on amking a few runs here before heading to the grocery store if she had time before more of those.... Things showed up.

Glancing up from his drink, Minsu's eyes widened as he noticed a girl who seemed to be... robbing the store? She looked crazed and even traumatized. His first instinct was to lunge at her, but he noticed the large axe in her hand. Instantly, he let out a shriek.

"What are you doing?!?" He yelled, backing up against the wall and breaking out in a cold sweat.

Celeste hiked her bag atop her shoulder. "You don't know what is going on out there, do you? People are eating each other! I am surprised I am the first one here!" She seemed frantic and bewildered, pointing her ice axe at him. "Grab what you can and follow me, or else you are on your own." She nodded towards the outside, a few of the infected shambling around. Surprisingly, her leadership skills were showing through. Somehow Celeste was able to keep a calm head throughout the situation, only focusing on gathering supplies so she could hide. "You don't want to get bit by one of them. I saw it and it is gruesome." Celeste stood up motioning for Minsu to follow.

Minsu listened to the girl speak. Suddenly, everything made sense- the worried people, the odd emptiness outside. It was far-fetched, but he believed her.

He let out a nervous chuckle. "My boss would kill me for this, but..." He unlocked the back door, revealing a closet full of spare medical supplies. "This is where we keep the heavy-duty stuff." He grabbed several first-aid kits and stuffed them into a large backpack. "Speaking of my boss, he should be here by now to lock up. I wonder where he is, he usually isn't late..."

Just as he spoke, the boss walked out of the supply closet, concealed in shadows. Or at least- what used to be the boss. His skin was pale and greenish, his eyes sunken and veins bulging. Blood trickled from his teeth.

Celeste gasped as she saw the man, coming out of the closet. She knew she had to keep calm and cool headed. "Get away from it!" She yelled to Minsu as she slowly advanced on the man with her ice axe in hand. Her hands were shaking as she got closer. Raising the axe with one hand like a weapon, she brought it down at Minsu's boss. She had no idea what she was doing, she had never hurt someone before. She gasped as she tried to hit him in the skull almost lookingaway as the axe was brought down.
"We gotta get out of here!" The axe hits his skull. Not realizing if he is dead or not, Celeste start to try to yank her axe back out, bracing his bloody skull with her foot.

Boy was she wrong.
Ellie walked into the pharmacy to a girl pulling an ice axe out of a disgusting man's skull. "All right then: NOT a safe place!" she said aloud.

Leon was waling out f the kitchen area when he saw one of the other remaining firefighters in the building, a woman named Maria Rodriquez , limping and cursin as she walked away from the main door. "Jesus Maria what happened to you?" He said taking her arm over his shoulder and walking her to the couch to sit down.

"I was outside taking a smoke break, and some old woman fell right in front of me. I tried helping her up and the bitch bit my leg!" She seethed as Leon set her down and started examining the bite. It wasn't deep but it was still bleeding."Voight's out there dealing with her now. He sent me inside before I curbstomped her into the ground."

"I'll go get the first-aid kit and we'll bandage that right up. In the meantime just sit here and get comfortable." He said walking back to the kitchen to get the first-aid kit there. Little did he know that the old woman who had bit Maria had already killed Voight, and that he was stuck inside with a veritable time bomb.

The man waited for what seemed like hours on the tv to give information on what was going on, but all he got was static. Finally he could not take being kept in the dark anymore and decided to venture out to the town to get some answers. "Damn! Of all the times for an emergency to happen, it had to be when I came home for vacation" he thought to himself.

He tucked his gun in the back of his pants and went up to his room to get some spare clips of ammunition. "Better go out the back door" he said. As soon he opened he could hear what sounded like moaning and something being eaten. He took a peek over the fence to find someone eating what looked to be a corpse and in terror he hid back down gagging at what he had just seen. "What the fuck was that?!"

To avoid being eaten he decided to hop over the side of the fence and head to the fire station. The seemed clear as he made his way there
