Rion yawned as he finally got out of his trance again that he often got into, and looked around. He guessed that at least a good hour or so had passed and he managed to slipped through that doing literally nothing... So it was time to interact with the other members and began walking down the stairs and silently sat at the large table where everyone joining the Crimson Company was sitting at. From the table he study each and everyone of them. Getting a good understanding of what his future companions would look like. This only took several minutes of study everyone faces before he focused his ki into his eyes, making them glow a faint azure color before he began to restudy his companions gauging their powers to a basic degree.

Everyone on the team seemed to be talented in someway, however the amount of mages were lacking a bit but it would do for the most part. One of them however seemed to have something unique about her, from what his ki was able to tell him about her, but he would find out about it on another time. He sighed to himself silently as he laid his head down on the table, but still he was cautious about his surroundings, ready to move if needed. He wondered if he needed to interact with his allies to know them better, but they had all the time in the world to do so considering what kind of jobs they were going to get, there would be obviously chances to socialize.
not to mention all the traveling as well, about time to be enough; to get to know each other Although he wasnt suspecting he would be doing anything soon with his companions at the moment....

"The journey shall be fun, that I can promise. When we finish it, you will be greatly rewarded, I can assure you all that, I made sure of it."

Lander found a seat by the hearth. Fun... Reward... The words lingered in his mind like clothes hung out to dry. Whoever was pulling the strings of this endeavor knew more then these people knew. Even this Aldred person is most likely in the dark. No, this wasn't about fun, he thought, this was about something much bigger. He could feel it, sense it. Something wasn't right and the promise of a reward just made Lander more sure that they were being used. He didn't like the feeling, but he knew that the only way to find answers was to join them.

By now the tavern had filled up with a variety of characters. There was an elven girl, a sailor and a young half-elf with a wolf. A few more joined and they all began talking to Aldred and each other. Lander studied them all. Some of them were ordering drinks from the tried looking bartender, but Lander had no desire to drink anything this place had to offer. He had tasted of pure mountain streams, filtered by the stones and rocks washed clean by millennia of use. The thought of river water stagnating in barley or hops turned his stomach. He stared into the fire, trying to keep his mind busy by determining what species of wood they were burning and how old the tree was that the logs came from. It was poplar, and he scowled as the tree had been far too young to be used as firewood.

After a while, Lander walked over to the table where Aldred was and nodded to the others gathered around him. "I will join you," he said, "but know this, I am not a hired thug, nor am I a mercenary. I am not a thief and your promise of payment does not interest me so do not think that you have any say on my actions." He shot a glance around at the others, unsure if he was making any friends. Probably not, he thought, but he wasn't here to make friends.

Sipley wasn’t a fool, anyone here might have the interest in eliminating her, and that was why every move made in the small inn was recorded in the back of her mind. She made note of every person who walked through those doors after her and scrutinized every face for familiarities. So far, her suspicions were subsiding, but she remained tense. Afraid to be caught off guard, Sipley drank nothing even though her throat was aching for the bitter taste of ale. Her mood only continued southward when notified that the masterminds behind the Crimson Company were unknown. Perfect.

“How do we know that a bunch of insecure old men are gathering a bunch of threats and shleek.” Sipley pretended to cut her own throat with her finger, drawing an invisible line ear to ear.

Despite her wariness, Sipley knew she would join the Crimson Company anyways. It was too good of an offer to pass up – think of all the potential gold. Not to mention that she has been lacking fun for awhile, and with a bunch of oafs traipsing around the country, well, it should provide some entertainment. Mostly out of habit than actually feeling threatened, the silver-haired woman fiddled with a dagger in the holster strapped to her thigh.

She'd been here twice before.

As remote as it was, Esterfell was hardly an ideal destination in Sonia's line of work. Taking someone here meant heading back to Esminster or Wastoces without a client. No pay, in other words. Sonia couldn't exactly raise her prices for trips to the north either—she was already scratching at the limit of what people were willing to pay her—so instead, whenever a contract took her to remote places like Esterfell, she allowed herself a day or two of rest. Esterfell was a fine place to get magnificently drunk.

Tonight, though. Tonight was work.

The first letter had been passed to her upon returning to the Lizard's Head Inn in Sirondius from a short job in the south. Her suspicion at being targeted like this was assuaged by promises of adventure and money, both of which had been in short supply for Sonia for some time now. The second had detailed where and when she was to be present.

She had worries, of course. She took orders well, but she trusted nobody's judgment more than her own. If her experiences with other mercenaries were to be trusted, there would be others like her. And she didn't actually know what this Crimson Company wanted her and the others to do. There was potential for trouble there. Still, as dirt road gave way to starlit cobbles and she breathed in air that carried a promise of winter to come, she couldn't help but feel a leaping sensation in the pit of her stomach. This was adventure. She clucked, nudging Petrus onward.

She found the Spotless Rock, recalling the way to the inn with relative ease. Even at night, a boy, no more than nine years old, seemed more than happy to take her mount at the promise of a coin upon leaving. Already she heard voices from the inn. Was she late to the meeting?

She pushed open the door. It wouldn't appear so. It was obvious who she was meeting: A group of people were loosely congregated at one end of the inn. If they'd received any important messages, it was certainly over now. People seemed to be drinking and getting to know each other.

Quick head count; ten of the inn's patrons seemed to be here for the same purposes as her. Sonia felt a glimmer of the Gift from a couple of them—those she made note of first. Her eye caught on a gorgeous elven woman wearing just about nothing. She grinned despite herself. In this cold? Elves..

Sonia nodded at the innkeeper, unsure if he remembered her, then slipped off her gloves and produced one of the letters. Holding it up, she addressed the group:

"What have I missed?"

"Nothing Much, If anything we just started..." Rion said passively tapping his fingers on the table before he passed the mug of Ale to the warrior girl. "Dont Drink, you can have it if you want"

He then looked briefly at her, before he went back to what he was doing; he actually wasnt actually giving her eye contact for the moment. He at the moment he was looking around with his eyes were, wondering around the room looking if any potential threats were going to pop up. After a few glances around the room his attention went to the new person who came to the group. He briefly gave her a few looks studying her and what ever she carried on her at the moment. With a educated guess he said that the girl was a warrior most likely a human, considering if you saw her ears unless it was a disguise.

He didnt like how some of the other companions were all mysterious in a way, like himself but he couldnt judge them by that. He was just nervous that was all, people stuff was his specialty. He just hoped that something would happen soon that would get everything started. He continued to tap his figures on the table with a single coin flipping it and doing small tricks with it and his hand. It helped pass the time since, he didnt like drinking any of the drinks in the Pub, more or less the cups were filthy to him and alcohol was very appealing to him either. So this is what he had to do, to pass the time...

Aldred's attention was turned to the woman who strolled in with a wolf, his eyes went wide in surprise for a moment as he looked at the canine, if that was coming along he hoped it was well trained. He never liked wolves that much, back during the war he spent many days in the wilderness where he could gear their howls in the night, he was almost able to feel their predatory eyes watching Aldred and his companions as they moved through the woods those many years ago. He's give this one a chance if it was to be a package deal with the woman.

"It's not an issue, I expected some people to show up later than others, it's a hell of a stroll to get into this town. I'm Aldred by the way." He said to Bregil, shaking her hand firmly, a friendly smile on his face.

"I understand, as long as you simply are committed to the cause and don't do anything that could have us all killed then we won't have any issues." Aldred said with a nod to Lander as Sipley spoke.

"Well, the rumors have been going for weeks now, unusual sights in the north, large figures roaming where they have never before and even stranger reports of great things in the skies. If it is a set up by our mysterious benefactors, then I am impressed to go to such lengths if they wish to kill us." He said, then paused as he sat back down in his seat, drinking from his glass once more.

"Besides, why would they want us dead? I'm an ex vanguard who took on an alias after the war in order to not cause any trouble. I doubt they're orcs, those are the only ones I can think of that would want me dead. Then there's some of the others, for example, a convicted pirate, why would they have him released just to kill him? I think they're just concerned people, honestly." Aldred said, looking at Sipley as he finished his drink, placing the empty glass to the side.

"My elf friend is correct, nothing. You're not late." Aldred said to Sonia, as he leaned back in his seat.

Everyone appeared so taboo and to Mel, everyone looked so fascinating. Certainly she would have to pick everyone's brain later when she got the chance but nothing compared to the interest she had in the musician, or a bard as the bartender called him. Music was absolutely the rarest of things for someone who lived secluded and she only managed to hear a trickle of music whenever passing a nearby city or other traveling musician. But from what little she heard, music became her passion. She probably couldn't tell instruments apart, identify the musical piece, or probably couldn't sing or play if her life depended on it, but music sounded divine to her. Even an amateur could woo her.

Mel couldn't help it, curiosity and excitement ate at her as she stood there listening to the babble of the other people. Her gaze was locked on the musician as she could only imagine what music he could produce. How do you go about making music? It just occurred to her that she had never actually seen anyone producing music. It was never explained by her father, and the few books she had read mentioned nothing about it. She only knew that it was some baseless melody and Was it magic? She had to know and now she could finally find out.

Mel crept around the table, passing by the conversation between another elf mage and that convict, a term she had little knowledge of. She'd have to inquire about that later. As well, she stepped past the silver haired lady who was gesturing something. Another thing she was curious about, gestures. She didn't really know any, not even a wink. In fact, most glares, gazes, scoffs, and the like, good or bad, that were aimed at her concerning lack of clothing all went unnoticed by Mel. She just didn't notice it and thought it was completely normal as she continued to shuffle past the congregated people. Her bare feet lightly stepped on the wooden floor, which didn't even make a thump on contact.

Finally, the bard was within reach. She reached out and gently tugged at the bard's right ear. The moment he turned his gaze towards her, if he turned towards her, she would remove the hand and finally ask at least a century old curiosity of hers. "You. You play the music? I really, really want to hear it." Her eyes shined with excitement and her voice even wavered with a bit of nervousness as she asked. A big, goofy grin formed on her face as she waited for half-elf's response. His human qualities were apparent this close but at a distance he could pass as an elf, save for the height, to which Mel had to look up to meet his eyes.

There were so many people here. Too many. Lucio thought for an adventuring party. Larger parties couldn't go to the same places as small parties. They caught more attention, and with the variety they had in this group, they would certainly do just that. He felt a little out of place, everybody looked like strong warriors while here he was, just a simple bard who happened to have some combat training. But he had been chosen for a reason, even if only to entertain the rest of the party. When another man walked up and spoke of not being here for the money, he nodded approvingly. "I'm in the same boat, friend. My reasons are not for the money either." He wasn't really the man's friend yet, but bards used that term a lot when interacting with people. Some liked it, some didn't.

A woman with a wolf by her side walked into the inn. He stared in fascination at the wolf. He had never been this close to one before that wasn't trying to rip his face off. Hence the bite scar on his right shoulder. He wasn't entirely fond of wolves, but he loved dogs, and this wolf looked kinda cute and cuddly. In a rip your face off sort of way. He couldn't help but jump as somebody gently tugged on his right ear. His ears were rather sensitive, not just to sounds but to touch as well. It hadn't been painful, but it wasn't the most pleasant thing either. He turned to see who it was and saw that it was a rather scantily clad elf woman. Not even taking into account the partial nudity, she was rather pretty.

He put on a dazzling smile when she said wanted to hear him play. He stood up and gave her a graceful, over exaggerated bow. "I would love to play for you milady. Though it will have to wait until we leave the inn. The bartender has already said he doesn't want any music tonight. And you never want to go against a bartender, they tend to throw you out if you do." Lucio was, of course, speaking from experience. There were some things that you could only learn from experience. And he liked it better that way, he wasn't one to learn by hearing things, he had to do them first.

Bregil smiled back at Caspain and Nyx as she turned her attention to the rest of the company. A diverse group, she wondered if this was going to be it or if there were more. This was going to be an interesting group. There definitely won't be a dull moment with this crowd. The man she assumed was the leader stood, he was the tallest human she had ever seen.

"It's not an issue, I expected some people to show up later than others, it's a hell of a stroll to get into this town. I'm Aldred by the way." He said to Bregil, shaking her hand firmly, a friendly smile on his face.

“Nice to meet you,” she said with a nod. Another man came up to them and if Bregil hadn't have just met Aldred, this new man would have been the tallest human she had ever seen. Interesting group indeed.
The new man spoke to Aldred.

"I will join you," he said, "but know this, I am not a hired thug, nor am I a mercenary. I am not a thief and your promise of payment does not interest me so do not think that you have any say on my actions."

"I understand, as long as you simply are committed to the cause and don't do anything that could have us all killed then we won't have any issues." Aldred said

Bregil turned to the new visitor and gave him a half smile and tilted her head as if to say that's fair enough.

A fierce looking woman spoke up next.
“How do we know that a bunch of insecure old men are gathering a bunch of threats and shleek.” Sipley pretended to cut her own throat with her finger, drawing an invisible line ear to ear.

Bregil grimaced. She had a point. A dark and frightening point but a point none the less. Aldred's answer put that fear to rest though as she took a seat at the table. Another woman joined them asking if she missed anything. Bregil gave her a warm smile and a wave hello as she signaled to the bartender.

He grumbled over to her obviously still angry about their encounter earlier.
“Yeah?”
“Mead if you could please?” she asked, straining politeness.
He grunted and stalked off.
Rude, Bregil thought as she looked over the company. She noticed a bard. She had met a handful of Bards in her lifetime. Every now and then one would come to her grandparents for elixirs or healing and they would always play something. She admired those who could play since she had no talent in music or anything that required artistic ability for that matter despite being half elf. She noticed he was also a half elf. Lucky, she thought.

The bartender returned with no change in attitude and gave her the mead in exchange for some coin. The bartender walked away and she took a sip only to immediately spit it back in her cup.

“Oh that's awful,” she said shaking her head and setting the cup on the table pushing it away from her.

She reached in her satchel and pulled out her water skin and took a swig. Bregil sighed and turned her thoughts to Faervel hoping he wasn't getting too bored out there. She'd check on him in a moment.

Tanure arrived at Esterfell in the time expected, though now as he stood outside the Tavern, he began to wish he had gotten to the town earlier, it being well into the night, meant the Humans would of had their fill of alcohol and then some and therefore would be typically rude and obnoxious, especially if there were veterans of the War present, whom from past experience would soon be bragging and offering challenges as to which of the Armies had the most victories or hardest fought battles which inevitably turned physical, intoxicated humans were almost as bad as Orcs after too much grog, but fortunately didn't smell as bad.

Tanure pulled the hood of his cloak up over his head, secured his bow across his back, adjusted the cloak slightly, so the hilt of his dagger could be gripped quickly, then entered the Tavern, pausing just long enough for his eyes to adjust to the light. He spotted the one he sought, but moved to the end of the bar, wanting a moment to glimpse the others that he had been told were expected to arrive for the same purpose as he, what he hadn't expected, were the number of Elven and those of Elven blood to be here as well, which he found to be curious.

The Barkeep stepped his way then asked what he would like to drink, Tanure noted the slight look of distain that crossed the Human males face when he noticed yet another Elve in his Tavern. Tanure looked at the Barkeep with a perk brow, "Seriously?...do you think you have anything to offer that could even possible compare to an Elven wine?...I'm here to meet the Human in the iron armor, nothing more". The Barkeep Scoffed with irritation and walked away as Tanure reached for his flask of Elverquisst and took a sip, savoring the taste of blended fruits before returning the flask to his pouch, then decide to wait a moment or two for the group gathered around the iron clad Warrior to settle.

Mel's smile faded and that once gleefulness had been replaced by shock, like she didn't expect the half-elf to refuse the request. It looked like he wanted to make music, especially when he expressed disappointment after the bartender said no. Was the bartender that scary of a man or was her half-elf musician really terrified for no reason? What right did he have to deny someone to make music?

"Throw you out?" Mel expressed confusion in her upward tone. She shot a grimacing look at the bartender before returning to her pleasant self. "The man is jealous that he can't do what you do. I'm sure music makers are esteemed enough to declare some type of supremacy, right? He is on a tier lower than or something?" Mel's delight was slowly returning to her as she continued. "I mean music is a special talent that not many people possess so that means your, um, royalty... no, that's not it..." Mel sort of trailed off at the end as she bumbled through what little knowledge she had of social structure. A few mumbles here and there before she finally found the word she was looking for. "...noble... Ah! Nobility! So you can tell that guy what to do then!" She appeared pleased with her conclusion and gave a quick, reassured nod in the half-elf's direction.

Of course it was highly possible that the bartender was a threatening person so Mel was prepared for that possibility to. She leaned in closer and stood up on her tip toes to try to get as close to the half-elf's ear as possible. Mel's cheek delicately touching the half-elf's and in a low whisper she said, "Don't worry I'll defend you if that bartender attempts to throw you out. He won't dare lay a finger on you with me protecting you." While it might be considered a bit sensual to whisper like that, Mel only meant it in the sincerest regards. She didn't want the bartender to hear this and engage Mel and her friend in combat, possibly hurting other people. Plus, Mel had no idea what the bartender man could do to make this half-elf so afraid. Mel stepped away from the musician and gave him a double nod, egging him on in silence. Her smile and cheerful expression practically begging him to do it.

Lucio found himself very confused as the scantily clad girl began talking. Nobility? It seemed that the girl had a very sheltered life and didn't know much about bards or bartenders or any of that stuff. She leaned in close, whispering in his ear about protecting him from the bartender. It really was sweet, but he didn't need protecting. Not when he knew how to handle the situation. "I'm afraid you have it wrong milady." He said, gently correcting her. "I'm not nobility at all, just a simple traveler. Anybody can learn music, few just choose to follow that path. In an inn or tavern like this one, the bartender is like the king. His word is absolute." He wasn't trying to get out of playing, he just didn't want to sleep outside tonight.

But the look on her face was so hopeful and begging. Like a hungry puppy wanting scraps from dinner. A small sigh escaped his lips. "I will be right back." He said, getting up from the table. He went over to the bartender and leaned against the counter. "I know you already said you didn't want me playing music tonight. But what if I didn't want a room or meal out of it?" He began with.

The bartender laughed. "A bard who doesn't want anything out of playing? Yeah right."

"I'm serious." Lucio said, reaching into his bag and taking out a coin purse. "I have plenty of money to pay for a room if we stay."

The coin purse seemed to change the bartender's mind. As long as he was getting money out of it, why not? The man just nodded and returned to his work. Lucio took it as the man allowing him to play something. So he gave the man a nod and went back over to his seat. Giving the scantily clad Elf girl a smile, he retrieved his harp from his bag. "It seems the man had a change of heart. So I do get to play something after all."

Lucio decided on playing one of his favorite songs. It didn't have words, it was just harp, but the girl had asked for music and not singing. He took a deep breath and let his fingers flow over the strings of the harp, playing the song with practiced ease and no mistakes. Of course he drew the attention of pretty much everyone in the bar when he played. Even the bartender stopped what he was doing and listened, suddenly feeling glad that he let the half-elf play. After he was finished, Lucio stood and took a bow, feeling pretty good about his performance.

((This is the song he played by the way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5G1ZU2emCA&list=PL64D5AB06347CAECC Its the Fairy Tail opening but in harp form.))

Sipley smirked at the woman, Bregil was her name, as she withdrew from the cup. The assassin leant over and tapped the mug with a light finger to gain the attention of the other.

“He probably spat into it after the wolf stunt. Seems like something a man like that would do.” Sipley rested her back against the chair she had taken earlier and crossed her leather-clad legs confidently as she continued, “You should be more careful of what you drink. If I had been here to kill you, your lack of concern certainly would have made it that much easier.”

Sipley talked from experience, of course, because once upon a time she had been that careless. She almost downed a whole cup of wolfsbane poison, but at the last minute she vomited it all out. It was a nasty treat and she hunted down the fiend who dare try to off her and made him scream as she scraped away his skin with a knife. After only a few minutes did she end his misery, so it was not all that bad. Licking her lips, Sipley once again checked her surroundings for any traps, suddenly wary after reliving her almost-death.

It was then that the stupid bard began to play. The music of his harp grated against Sipley’s ear, though it was pleasant, she preferred her silence. Hearing was a good sense to have when an arrow was being aimed at your head. Curling her hand around a knife, she almost ripped it out to kill the irritating pest when, at the split second, decided it would be best not to do it so obviously…or maybe not do it at all. These sorts certainly would not take to it and she had no doubt that Aldred would at least draw his sword on her; Sipley didn’t feel like taking on a whole room of oafs; outnumbered odds have always been an assassins specialty, but such evident means would lead to death.

“Oi, bard!” She called when he was finished, scowling slightly and scraping her nails against the wooden table. “Knock it off.”

Sonia plucked the proffered mug of ale from the table. "Thanks," she said to the back of his head; he'd already turned his attention back to whatever he'd been doing. Can't blame him, she thought. Situation's awkward enough as it is.

Still, at least a few of them looked to be getting on well already. The man with the harp (Elvish? Half?) seemed to actually be paying the bartender for a chance to impress the half-naked woman with his music. They'd be fucking within the week, she decided, not without a twang of jealousy.

She sipped her ale as he played. He was talented, for certain. Enough to be able to make a living without risking his life as a mercenary. In fact, a lot of them didn't seem to fit here. Then again, she supposed nobody was forcing her to be here. Whatever they were going to do, it apparently took all kinds. She'd have to at least wait to hear what this was all about.

A women—angry looking, very beautiful—called for the bard to quit it already. Sonia grinned at her.

Aldred folded his arms, mulling over getting another drink, his eyes looking at the bard playing music, it wasn't his kind of stuff, too boring, he always enjoyed the more thrilling big band stuff. He noticed another enter the inn, an elf, another person he was told to expect. He didn't realize the group would be so large, but that was fine by him. He then heard the door pop open as someone walked in, it wasn't another mercenary, it seemed to be one of the citizens of the town, possibly a miner. The man quickly moved over to Aldred, then leaned down and spoke to the man.

"I saw it, something past my house, when I went out to get water from the well, I saw whatever it was, a massive shadow." The man said to Aldred, his voice tinged with fear and just low enough for Aldred to hear.

"Why did you come to me and who are you?" Aldred replied, turning his head to look the man in the eyes.

"I am Jon, I'm a simple miner in the town. I heard about you, many of us have, that you're on a quest, that's why there's so many strangers in the town. Are you here to stop the " The man replied.

"Let's go check it out, take me to where you saw this figure," Aldred said as he rose from his seat, Jon the miner bounding towards the door. "Excuse me for a moment, there is something I must see." He said to the group around him, then follow the man out of the inn.

It was still bitterly cold outside and pitch black dark, the only sources of light a few scattered torches which lit the streets just enough for anyone walking in them to know where they were going. The only difference now was that it had began to snow lightly, the white adding to the already covered ground. Aldred himself was warm enough under his armor and clothing underneath, but he felt bad for anyone who didn't have the same luxury. His boots made marks in the snow as he followed Jon who moved ahead, moving towards the edge of town where one would exit out of in order to head into the mountains. Several cozy cabins sat around him as he walked, eventually reaching Jon who was standing by what Aldred presumed was the miner's own home.

"Here is where I saw it, right over in that direction." Jon said as Aldred stopped in front of the man, the armored warrior looking in the direction the miner indicated, to the northeast. He couldn't see shit, just darkness before the wind began howling loudly, and the skies seemingly cleared, the moon in the sky illuminating just enough so that Aldred could see something he did not want to see.

A huge humanoid figure standing right where Aldred was looking, it looked like a massive man, he estimated maybe ten feet in height, possibly twelve. He noticed Jon's eyes go wide as the man must have seen it to.

"Get inside now! Lock the doors, secure your family." Aldred ordered the man who did exactly as the ex vanguard commander, running into his home, the door locking behind him. Aldred drawing his greatsword as he stared down the massive being, he swore he saw more of them behind it, as the thing began moving forward, Aldred practically hearing the ground shake with each step.

He backtracked towards town, well enough so that the streetlights would allow him to see the monsters sulking towards him. His mouth nearly dropped open in surprise as the first one came into the light, the creature was truly a sight, twelve or so feet of pure muscle hidden under light grey skin, the only clothing it wore a simple loincloth, it's face bland with a short tuft of black hair on top., fearsome eyes staring down the former vanguard. As the treetrunk legs moved forward, Aldred noticed the beast clenching something, a boulder.

It flung the rock forward towards Aldred, who dove to the side, just barely avoiding being turned into mush. The boulder hitting the ground with a slam as it continued rolling forward, finally making impact in the wall of The Spotless Rock Inn.

The bartender dove behind his bar, the waitress letting out a scream as the boulder smashed through the building, creating a massive hole in the side wall, a hole large enough for anyone inside to clearly see Aldred with his blade drawn, facing down a single giant while five others behind it ominously moved towards the town with slow, but sure footsteps.

Nyx stood near by her previous conversation and watched as everyone seemed to get to know one another. She continued to smile just in case any one looked in her direction, even though she wasn't sure why she was there, she was going to try to make friends for whatever it is. She built her confidence again and started to walk towards the group of people before a loud thud rumbled the entire building, yet the bass got loud and louder until the only thing you could hear is the brick falling from the bombarding boulder that rolled in the group's direction. All Nyx could think about was Balto as it slammed in to the bar area. She had been behind most of the people, and ducked further back slamming her body against the bar and slid till the chairs fell over along with her to the floor while the boulder finally settled.

She could hardly breathe, as she blinked away the debris from her eyelashes and trembled in to a sitting position. A shard of glass from the bar had smoothly cut her up her arm from her wrist to her elbow that stung from the dust that had been flung in to the air. She stood as quickly as she could, and clutched the bag that she had around her body and trudge forward. The room was too hazed to make out any other figures but the faint light that was eclipsed by the boulder in front of her. She couldn't think straight, but the sound of Balto caught her attention.

She could hear his hooves trot towards her and she desperately reached out to catch the reins of her hero to pull her out the rest of the way. The rope finally caught around her wrist and she held as tight as she could while he tore hers out of the rubble scraping her knees and and legs until her body was completely out in to the cold snow. She looked towards the area of where the rock had been thrown from and watched beastly creatures emerge under the street lights. "Oh my god." She said under her breath as she pulled herself on to the saddle.

She looked back towards the large hole and forced Balto to turn in to the dusted room. "We have to find survivors." The boulder created a large enough crack to pass through but the broken building made it hard to be careful of his steps. The horse slowed it's pace while Nyx leaned over and tried to feel for any hands reaching up towards her, or looking for anyone who were able to stand up.

“Definitely not.” Sipley answered Sonia, smiling wryly. “Music is just noise.”

She would have elaborated more if it wasn’t for the large boulder that slammed into the side of the inn. Sipley dived to the side, her locks falling into her face and sticking to her sweating skin. Rubble buried her body slightly and she landed on her arm awkwardly. The assassin was quick to react, only taking a moment to check to see if her arm was broken – it wasn’t – before scrambling out of the hole in the wall. It was only then that she saw the towering giants with loincloths and tufts of hair. Hissing under her breath, she darted for Aldred who laid on the ground with a sword drawn.

“Okay, what the hell.” Sipley deadpanned, scowling at him. She pulled daggers from her leg holsters and tossed them with impeccable aim at the feet of the first giant. She didn’t expect any damage, she just wanted to slow them down slightly.

“Where is their soft spot? Have you tried that big hunk of metal on them yet?” hissed Sutton, taking aim again. “We should go for their eyes. Blind them.”

Rion cautiousness had paid off for him, as from the side of the inn, a boulder rolled through destroying the interior and rolling towards him. In a swift movement he flew out of his seat to the side of the inn, his knees bouncing off the floor a little but, there wasn't much damaged done to him. His clothes were slightly dirtied from the debris that now laid around the inn, but he managed to brush what he could off him, before he got up from the floor and looked around. Then he heard "...We have to find survivors." from one of the other Crimson Company companions and sighed to himself, since that job is going to get handled by; if he recalled correctly 'Nyx' was her name, was going to take care of that.

He pulled out his bow before he looked at 'Sonia' the human who was the first warrior that she saw in the group that was a female. Maybe he hadn't noticed the other warriors in their group but she was the one who stood out considering her bandaged eye. But back to business, Rion looked at the large humanoid figure most likely a giant. And began calculating where to begin; most likely the legs to prevent the movement of the enemies, thus solving the problem all itself. Or the eyes, but that could provoke rage... dangerous while it has it legs where it could go on a blind rampage... So in his best judgement, he looked around before the best spot he could find was literally nothing, everything was unstable mostly due to the boulder rolling through everything, so he would have to stand in this cold...

With the bow, he pulled out an arrow as he began to set it up... Once done preparing he began to channel his Ki into his arrow, which glowed a faint blue-ish, purple; enchanted from his elvish magic leaking out. Then he fired the arrow aimming at the knee of the giant to try and limit the humanoid's movement. He slightly laughed at where he was aiming for some random reason he couldnt find out why, but he soon wiped his laughter off his face, as his arrow landed in the Giant's thighs. To him that looked like it woulda hurt if that happened to him

And then there was just the boulder, instantly turning the inn into a warzone. A jagged brick flung itself through the room, hitting Sonia in the shoulder. Had she not been toppled over by the shaking of the building, it would have hit her squarely between the eyes. Through the dust rising from the sizeable hole in the wall, Sonia spotted whatever had thrown the rock. Ugly fucking...

Unsteadily, she got to her feet. A few people seemed to have been struck by rubble, but many of the inn's patrons—those who hadn't been summoned here by the Crimson Company—were strewn about the room, mostly unharmed. Old instincts came over her. She'd have to get them out. She glanced over at one of her new allies, one of the elves, who'd just entered the room on her bloody horse. She seemed to be looking for survivors as well. Sonia whistled at her, unsuccessfully at first because of dust in her mouth. She spat two times and whistled again.

"Oi! Over here!" she shouted, gesturing at a group of people caught beneath—and likely saved by—a round table. She'd need help getting that off them.

Bregil gave a nod and smile at the Assassin and thanked her for the advice. Truth be told it was just bad wine though she wouldn't put it pass the bartender to spit in it too. She never put much thought into people poisoning her. Where she came from it wasn't an issue and if she did somehow get poisoned she could just simply heal herself or drink an elixir if it wasn't too serious. Being an assassin had to be tough Bregil mused, always having to watch your back, having to be a step ahead of everyone else. Bregil felt drained just thinking about it.

The Bard was playing music, much to the Assassin's dismay and the Elven woman who took a liking to the Bard looked to be having the time of her life. Bregil laughed at the sight. Such an interesting group of characters.
A man came up to the table asking for Aldred and he excused himself to help the man. Bregil felt this was a good time to go check on Faervel. She excused herself as well and left the inn.

A brisk breeze went through Bregil and she pulled her Cloak tighter. She saw it was snowing and stuck her tongue out to catch one. She took in a deep breath of the cold winter night and whistled for Faervel. When He didn't come she whistled once more then saw him poke his head out from the side of the inn. He was rustling through the garbage.
Bregil chuckled as she walked up to him.

“Getting a snack eh? I'm sure our dear bartender friend would love that.”
Bregil knelt down and scratched Faervel's neck. He leaned into her with a content sigh as he chomped on some bones.

“I don't think it will be much longer then we can rest. Sorry you have to be out here my friend.”
Faervel suddenly jumped up, his ears perked up in alert as he let out a low growl in the direction Aldred and the man went in.

“What do you see?”

Bregil felt the ground rumble and saw Aldred running and a large human-like creature following him.
“Oh Gods,” Bregil gasped as she grabbed her bow over her shoulder and pulled out an arrow as her and Faervel ran out of the way of a boulder rolling towards them. She aimed at the giant and it hit his shoulder. Faervel growled and was getting ready to attack. Other members of the Crimson Company came to aid in fighting off the giant.

“Like hell Faervel, You'll get killed. Just wait,” she said as she pulled him back and pulled out another arrow.
Bregil heard Nyx yell that they needed to find survivors. She turned and ran back in the inn.

“Come on Faervel, I need your nose.”
Fearvel gave a determined gruff and followed.
