Hikaru walked alongside Leon in the grassy forest, the chocolate-brown rabbit occasionally speeding ahead, but slowing down soon after. The duo were concentrating on getting to a body of water to rest and recover. He looked at Leon wondering why, exactly, did he join him? Hikaru remembered his past as a slave. He was forced to murder many innocent lives, and desperately wanted to wipe the slate clean. The duo arrived at a small pond, and began to settle down. Leon ended up cleaning himself, removing his black vest and loincloth to finish grooming. Hikaru rested nearby. Four, intricate swords made of light hovered a few feet above ground, next to him. "Hikaru" Leon asked, slipping his silk clothing back on. "Where are these... Seekers, exactly? You said they could help us."

"Their camp is not too far away, Leon." Hikaru sighed. "Let's just hope that Kangoku doesn't send any Shades after us." Suddenly, his ears twitched. He had caught the sound of a slight rustle in the gorse nearby. The three swords turned blade-first, ready to defend the duo against any dangers that would try to harm them.

Slang slithered through the bushes as silently as possible, trying not to be noticed. He then heard the distinct whooshing cutting through air sound that swords make when they're being slashed. Or aimed at snakes. "Hey! I'm a friendly!" Slang said as he slowly made his way out of the brush, trying to look sympathetic and pitiable, so that the wolf and rabbit duo might take mercy on him.

Heavy pants created visible condensation in the chilling weather, the breaths were some what shallow and quick. Blood painted the snow a dark red, the warmth of it melting the snow some. The winds bit at the exposed wounds like a parasite digging into its host, causing more pain for its victim. Paw pads stepped into the snow, creating large prints, each step slow and staggered, as if to carry a limp. Three long gashes lined the side of a massive body, bright red and dripping blood. A large wolf staggered his way away from the snow-capped mountains, fleeing something deadly it seemed. The unnaturally large wolf looked back to see how far he had gotten, the mountains now miles upon miles away, the wolf's stocky frame was wavering, he wasn't going to be able to last long this way. The lone wolf pointed his muzzle skyward and let out a low howl of pain, calling for the help of anyone who'd answer.

The icy wind was cold, snow sticking to thick black fur like paint on a canvas. Mina couldn't feel the cold much, though the slashing winds whipped her skin in an attempt to get through. The canine was perched in a pine tree, sitting between the needles in an attempt to escape most of the cold, or better said the snow that stuck to her fur and soaked her warm skin when it melted.

In the distance a howl sounded, long and pained, seeking for help. Mina recognized it as being a wolf's howl, coming from a source not too far from her.
'It's not your problem..' she murmured to herself, though her blazing amber eyes were fixed on the thick line of trees. Curiosity tugged on the girl's mind until she was urged to get up and slip out of her hiding place.

It was a short walk, but the scent of blood was carried a long way on the icy winds. Soon enough Mina lay eyes on a large wolf, wounded severely and weakened in the harsh snow.
Hesitance filled the fox for a moment, but one glance at the pouch of herbs on her hip drove her forward toward the weakened canine. She may not trust others, but letting one die in the snow was something she would not do.
'Hey...' she stated to make the other canine aware of her presence.

By the time the wolf had gotten into the forest, he could no longer walk anymore, falling to his side and letting out a pained growl. His body was bruised and blood, he thankful he didn't land on his major wounds, his massive body rising and falling each deep breath he took, his body weakening every so slowly he looked up in reaction to the sounds of snow being cursed, someone moving toward him. He weakly tilted his massive head in the direction of the sound, to his surprise it was a fox. He wasn't sure if this was a friend or foe but it was here, taking in a scent he noticed it was a female, carrying some odd smelling herbs. "H-hey..." He spoke, trying to manage with the pain. "What are you here for? To finish me off?" He growled lightly, he knew he was more vulnerable now.

"H-hey!" Hikaru gasped. "We're just taking a rest!" He summomed another set of swords in defense.

Leon slipped his vest back on and scratched his neck with his hind leg. "I don't think these guys are looking to make peace, Hikaru." Leon said, picking up one of his slate-gray swords. "Who sent you?" the chocolate-colored rabbit asked in a tense tone.

"Leon, stop! They might be friendly!" Hikaru tried to make his friend back down, but the rabbit conjured up another earthy sword and turned it on him.

"Shut up! No way all of these guys would show up at once unless they were sent by them!" Leon glared at every one of the other animals, his green eyes like shrapnel.

"Woah! Hey buddy! I don't even know who 'they' are, dude! Calm down, please!" Slang yelled, sweating profusely. "Please, take pity on me! I'm sorry!" Slang groveled, coiling up and shaking. "Look, I was just slithering around the forest, trying to grab a meal. Not a rabbit meal, mind you!" Slang said, shooting a truly pitiable expression at the brown rabbit. "Just, please let me leave." Slang whispered, hanging his head in a mix of depression and fear. "Look, I'll do you a favor, you don't trust these other guys? I'll get 'em for you!" Slang bartered, glaring at the two newer possible foes.

Hikaru sighed in relief, willing his swords out of existence. "No. That's fine." Leon was gawking at Hikaru's wide acceptance of others. The rabbit's surprised visage quickly turned into rage.

"What! You actually forgive these punks?" Leon roared. He looked at the group of animals, his green eyes seething with hate. His voice was tipped with bitterness, like the taste of blood. Leon's green eyes glowed as he summoned a sword made out of a nearby rock and made a beeline for the group of animals, ready to send them packing.

He was swept off to the side by Hikaru, who held him down with his paws. "Don't mind him." he said with a smile. "He always gets like this- we're runaways."

Sora and Midori glide around the trees, scavenging around. Sora made absolutely sure they weren't being followed. He felt as if he was responsible for Midori now, although he knew he didn't even have to help her. He looked ahead seeing her gliding around the treetops, looking down at the ground as if for food or something to do. It seemed like the two of them had been flying forever, but Sora pushed himself and Midori on. He knew they would be followed by the flock that had captured them. Sora didn't know how long they would be followed but he didn't want to risk anything. Midori simply followed Sora's commands because he seemed nice and like he knew what he was doing.

It wasn't until then that Sora and Midori had heard the familiar screeches of a few falcons. Sora turned himself towards Midori, flying at an extreme speed towards her. he grabbed her and turned into a nosedive towards the ground. Midori realized what Sora was trying to get across and broke free, flying down under the trees by herself. They landed below the trees nearby some other animals. Sora slid close to a tree, Midori following. They were pressed against the tree as the falcons passed over head. Sora let out a sigh of relief before looking to the other animals.

"They should be gone for now, but they will find us again Midori so be careful."

The wolf had collapsed due to his wounds by the time Mina arrived at his location. Once there she noticed the wounds were even worse than she had expected and were bleeding profusely, telling her something was after him and most likely close.
The wolf didn't trust her, which she didn't mind, but she scoffed nonetheless. 'Believe me, if I wanted you dead I would have stayed where I was and let the cold take you.' she said harshly. 'If you don't want my help I can leave though, see how far you get.' she said in a somewhat threatening tone of voice.
Upon closer inspection she noticed the wolf was just slightly bigger than herself, but very muscular and most likely strong. It made her wonder what could have damaged him like that and got away with it.

Mayura had just traversed the Great Mountains from her homeland into a forest. Finally he could find something better to eat than mountain grass and little bugs. The flowers had just started to bloom for the day, so he decides to go munch on some Tiger Lilies. In the distance he hears a sound he is unfamiliar with, though it does sound like some kind of bird to him. Being curious to learn about the new world he has entered, he flies above the trees towards the sound. After about five minutes he sees a few objects flying towards him, so he perches on a treetop to get a better look. Spreading his tail, he gazes upon them and decides that they are birds and proceeds to meet them.

He let's out a friendly, "Hello," before landing on a nearby tree. What Mayura thinks to be the leader of the small group lands on a tree across from him, while the other two circle overhead. "Who are you and what do you want?" asks the bird. "I am Mayura. I come from beyond the mountain, and wish to learn the ways of this new land. I have never met a creature like you, what do they call you?" The leader responded, "I am a falcon, the mightiest of birds. They call me Ranthar." He pauses for a second and asks if Mayura can help search for a couple friends. "I would love to be of service, what are their names and what do they look like?" Mayura replies. Ranthar tells him that one is a brown owl, and the other is a black crow. "Their names are Sora and Midori."

Mayura climbs down the tree a bit to get a better look at forest under the treeline. Spreading his tail he begins to search in a 360 degree perimeter. In the distance about a half-mile away he spots a brown and black bird hiding at the base of the tree. "That must be them. I will let them know their friends are looking for them," he thinks to himself. He flies off towards them, hoping they are as friendly as the falcons he just met.

"If you were kind enough to help me, I'd be in your debt.." He said to her, he breaths getting more laborious as blood seeped from his wounds.

Hikaru bore his fangs at the other animals, looking hostile. It was incredibly different than his unusually kind appearance. His breathing became slow and hushed. The wolf's green eyes narrowed as they glanced over each creature. A snake, a husky, and a fox. "Who are you?" he growled, his ears slightly flattened against his head.

Leon shuffled out from under the wolf's lightened grip. He sat up on his haunches, brushed some dirt off of his clothing, and lightly licked his front paws, cleaning up his dirty head. "Why are you here? Have you come to kill us?" Leon snapped in a icy tone. He, too, narrowed his gaze.

"No! Never man, I don't wanna kill anyone dude, please, let's all calm down an be all buddy buddy, okay?" Slang said, glancing nervously between all the animals, baring his fangs ever so slightly just encase things got violent. "By the way, Wolf and Rabbit, my previous offer still stands, I'll help you take care of these other clowns. Just say man." Slang added, weary moreso of the other two there. He decided that if anyone was going to die, it wasn't going to be him. He still hoped there would be absolutely no fighting though. His thoughts were mixed. He decided to wait it out, and let the others talk it over. He never was much of a leader.

After taking a minute to watch the situation play out in front of them, with one very angry man lashing out a few others. Sora noticed the nearing peacock. At first he didn't pay her any mind, but then he gets a bit on edge, knowing that their tribe probably has people out looking for them. Sora steps back as the peacock approaches, holding his wing out to guard Midori. She quickly realizes what he is doing and also jumps into a battle stance with her wings flared. Sora lowered his gaze, using his intimidation factor. "Who are you, and what business do you have with us?" Sora held his glare with the peacock, not wavering and obviously ready for battle.

Midori felt that Sora was being a little to hostile and on edge. For all they know, she could be just a normal passerby wanting to say hi. Midori let down her guard and waved a wing in greeting to the peacock. Sora and she were both not very large animals, therefore she felt it was unnecessary to size themselves up. She greeted the girl with a smile. "Hello! Don't mind my friend, he and I are a bit on edge from our restless nights of flying." She tilted her head to the side in a cute manner. "Glad to meet you, I am Midori and this is Sora." She then gestured with a wing towards her crow friend.

'Well don't you sound like a party.' she rolled her eyes faintly. 'You must have lots of enemies to be left for dead more than once. It also means you're strong though, so don't expect me to get all comfy around you.' she said as she neared him.
She scoffed a bit when he asked for her help as she unhooked the small bag of herbs from her hip. 'What did you think I came here for? I don't care what you do with your life, but I won't just let somebody die out in the snow like that.' she said.
'Close your eyes.' she ordered. She didn't need any random stranger to see her powers and he was no exception.
Once she had made sure he had his eyes closed shut, her shadowy tendrils appeared by her side and she started working.

First she made a small bowl out of shadows and dropped some snow into it. The shadows formed and extra layer and started rubbing against each other rapidly to create heat through friction. Once the snow had melted she dropped some herbs into it and kept heating the make-shift bowl until the water boiled.

After a while she mixed the herbs to a paste and drained the water into another bowl, rubbing the paste gently on his wounds. Finally she nudged him lightly. 'Keep your eyes closed and open up, you need to drink this.' she said.

Mayura lands several feet from Sora and Midori, noticing that they seem on edge. "Hello Midori and Sora. I am Mayura. I have come from the land beyond the mountain, and have just met a friend of yours. Ranthar says he is looking for you guys, and seemed a bit anxious about it. From your reaction to me, Sora, I am guessing that something might be amiss here." The screech of falcons sounds in the distance, though growing ever closer.

"Well, we're in," Anxius remarked.

"Yeah..." Malacia replied quietly.

The two hyenas had just entered the dim forest. They simply stared around in wonder, having never been in a forest before. They began to make their way deeper into the forest, cautiously watching out for any creatures that may have been watching them. The calm fresh aroma of the forest soothed their minds, allowing them to rest at ease for a while. The gentle wind whistled calmly through the leaves of the tall trees, and birds could be heard singing in the distance. Malacia let out a warm sigh, "It's so beautiful." Anxius simply chuckled and continued forward. Malacia ran ahead, playfully nipping him on the ear as she past him. She nimbly leaped over a fallen log and looked back at Anxius expectantly. Anxius rolled his eyes and ran forward. He leaped over the log in one easy move. He gave Malacia a shove and ran ahead of her. She chased after him and they continued to run through the forest for some distance.

"We should probably start thinking about getting food or water soon. We haven't eaten since before dawn, have we?" Anxius asked Malacia some time after they had calmed down.

She gave him a curt nod, "Yeah, you're right." Anxius returned the nod and turned away from Malacia. He lifted his nose and sniffed at the air. He was hoping to, by luck, catch the scent of anything that may have been lurking nearby.

He lowered his head and glanced at Malacia, "I don't smell anything. Let's keep moving." They continued wandering through the forest, pausing every so often to check for a smell. It was a couple of hours later when Anxius caught something. "Hold on, I'm smelling something," He lowered his head and sniffed at the ground.

Malacia gave a little sniff, "I smell it too. Must be really close by then," She joked.

Anxius wandered around the area, trying to find a track. "I can't tell what it is, but-" He paused and walked in a direction for about ten feet then paused to continue sniffing, "Yes, it's stronger in this direction. Come on, we may be able to catch a meal!" The two of them charged in the direction of the smell, wishing for it to be a good catch. Finally Anxius stopped them again and the two crouched down in a small depression at the top of a small inclination. "The smell seems to be getting stronger. I'd better scout ahead before we make another move." Malacia nodded and watched as Anxius' eyes glowed bright. The regular color and shape of his eyes faded away, leaving behind a perfect glowing mirror of what he was seeing. The reflection's point of view rushed through the trees while hovering a few feet off the ground. The reflection continued flying further until it came upon the source of the scent. Malacia shuffled a few steps forward to get a good look at his eyes to see what he was watching.

A small pond came into view, around which crowded a few animals. "They don't look edible," Anxius said slowly, trying to not break his own concentration.

Malacia gave a whine and pawed at his foot. "But we can eat the rabbit!" She exclaimed. Anxius didn't reply and continued to study the scene. They seemed to be talking or arguing about something; He had trouble telling. He finally pulled away from the Hissatsu, having started to feel the strain on his eyes. He squinted at the trees and rubbed his eyes. "Too far?" Malacia said with a hint of concern in her voice.

"Nothing that won't go away in a short while. Come on, let's find them; We'll figure out what we'll do later." The two of them stood up and began moving in the direction of the pond. They made sure to move quietly, not wanting to alert anything. The two of them crouched down some distance away from the pond. "Don't get any closer," Anxius whispered, "They might smell us..."

"Okay, what's the plan?" Malacia whispered back, her eyes locked on the rabbit.

"There is no plan. We're going to wait and watch. Then we can develop a plan," Anxius replied. Malacia groaned silently and wiggled anxiously, her eyes still refusing to budge from the brown rabbit.

"Calm down. I promise you we'll eat well tonight," Anxius assured her. He turned his attention back to the group around the pond. He knew he was hungry too, but he was a trained hunter; He wasn't going to allow his hunger distract him from the hunt. The rabbit was the clear choice, but he could tell that this wouldn't be easy. The group was tense about something. A suspecting target was a hard target. He could only hope that the group would at least calm down or split up.

It was at this time that Leon hopped up to the wolf and fox. They looked foreign, like they were from someplace else. Leon didn't trust them and activated his Hissatsu. His green eyes started glowing as two swords crudely crumbled into existence, made from the nearby rocks. He 'gripped' the blades (goodness knows how...) and held them up to the fox and wolf's faces, a few inches from their throats. "Who are you? Why are you here?" he snarled. His gaze slightly shifted to something he heard in the bushes, returning it to the two, strange animals. He pressed the sword a few centimeters closer. "Who are you?"
