After the revelation of her opponants superior strength Sinai had a choice to make. It was clear that only one of them would be walking out of the cave alive, and she wanted it to be her. Sure she could have drawn her zanpakuto but that would have been to her detriment. She was barely hanging on in a hand to hand confrontation and that was her strongest method of combat. She was on the defensive and she had lost her element of surprise.
He only used his hands, she had already noticed that much, but he used them so well he didn’t need to pick his feet up. His feet compensated in his speed. Laterally he was fast, but maneuvering, like she was making him do now, proved to be more of a struggle for him. Again he charged at her but this time she charged back. She ducked at the last minutes, sweeping his feet from underneath him and causing him to fall. She quickly flipped intent to land an axe kick on his head and…she did. It even cratered the stone. But she grabbed her leg and threw her across the room like it was nothing. She flipped and landed on the wall only to have to shunpo out of the way.
Once Sinai had steeled her resolve she began to glow, exerting her spiritual pressure. As usual it took the form of butterfly wings behind her. She didn’t step back this time when he charged, instead she waited to step forward, dodging his fist and slamming her fist into his face. The impact staggered him and she put all her weight into her next punch, aimed at his knee. The man howled in pain only for a second before her foot connected with his jaw, launching him off his feet. She lept into the air and came down with a left punch but he caught it and pulled her into a headbutt. She bent her neck out of the way so his head connected with her shoulder, damaging it pretty bad and he had a vice grip on her arm. With her right arm in one quick move she slammed her fist into his hurt leg. It hurt him enough to let her go and she shunpo’d away. Her left arm was out of commission for now as it hung limp, but his leg was through as well.
“where are the other children?” Sinai asked one more time as her hand began to glow again
“gone. I sold their obstinate asses to pay of some debt”
“sold them to who and when?”
“last week, a boy and a girl. “
“who did you sell them too?”
“That look in your eye girl, you already know”
Without another word they charged each other. Sinai’s Butterfly Dragon fang was as close to perfection as she had ever been. Her fist struck right above his heart sending her energy through him without moving him. The force shattered his ribs and stopped his heart cold. As he fell to his knees he looked at her. Not in wonder, not in shock but with eyes that seemed to see right through her. Then he fell
