No, no, no, no, no! You really have to enjoy your whiskey... I got a bottle of Glengoyne here, you really don't want to take a shot of it. That's just a plain waste of a good spirit. Vodka and all those fancy girly drinks are great for shots, whiskey not so much...

But hey, that's just me.

That reminds me, I was in Scotland a couple of years ago and I frequented a pub in Edinburgh. At that pub, the black bull, there was this one bartender and he was a-ma-zing! One day this guy walked up to him and ordered a pint of lager and lime. This is what the bartender said: "Sorry, we don't do cocktails.", in this massive Scottish accent, I laughed my ass of.

@Lord Pie, that way it doesn't pass the liver and you get the most... let's call it benefits, of it.

Aha – sounds like the Scottish to me.

I personally do like my Whisky straight – but not particularly to be drunk as a shot, more-so to be casually sipped in a gentleman-like fashion.

I find decent Whisky can be very hit and miss. I’ve not tried Glengoyne but I assume it’d be pretty good.

I like my Bourbons, though haven’t had one in a long time (JD does not count as Whisky). People keep buying me Bells Whisky, which is alright I guess.

If you mix Whisky with coke then you need to leave :p

The IC is officially open! Go for it. Whether you start outside or inside the club or whatever is totally up to you. We play to see what happens.

I've added a hider with some GM notes, just something to base a post on. Use it or not!

So by your Gm note, are we to interact with the ORC bouncer? or just assume we already spoke to him?

I was going to send one of those dragonfly minidrones in to scout out the place and look for the fixer or Mr. Jhonston. Could I find that door with the drone?

Do we need to arrive in full gear? Is it allowed to take katanas into a club? That would probably be frowned upon right?

@Lord Pie; JD is sour mash, it has a different brewing process than 'real' whiskeys. In sour mash you use a part of the malt of the previous batch to make the new batch, this keeps taste consistent. You can mix whiskey with coke all you like, some Johnny red or JD is okay. I wouldn't pick a single malt for this mix though, that just a plain waste...

I have a question too. :)
Are we playing the doorman for ourselves, or are you doing it? (So I know how far to go.)

Okay, I can imagine you would want to have a little security for yourself. But in full gear as in with body armor and katanas to go directly to the mission afterwards or is this just the opening briefing and do we meet up somewhere else later to really get things started?

The door isn't invisible or anything, just, you know, it doesn't immediately scream "shady deals going on in here!". So a drone would be able to find it, but not necessarily tell you that this is where you'd need to go. But hey, if you can come up with some awesome way to make the Dragonfly figure it out, go for it! Like I said, this is just a framework. We play to see what happens. There's guaranteed to be someone inside the club who knows where the shady deals go down, though. That elf bartender over there looks hot... I'll add all this to the GM notes, thanks for keeping me on my toes. I don't worldbuild that often ^^

And sneak as many guns in as you want. The doorman knows who you are (hence "you're on the list), so he knows why you're all packing heat. But we won't be moving straight on to the mission, so there's no actual need to bring everything. Depends on how paranoid you are, I guess.

As for who plays the doorman: Unless you really want me to, you're welcome to RP him yourself. He's a nice guy, but he doesn't appreciate arrogant shadowrunners who treat him like crap :D it all depends on your character's personality.

Well, I hope that was acceptable. I spent a bit of time on her looks, because lets face it. Lei-Ne's vain.

Very nice, Blue (y) it's evening, not morning, but otherwise I don't think you missed any details.

Okay, so I'm not entirely sure how people are gonna meet up. We can't all pull open the door simultaneously :D maybe I should do a quick post detailing the room everyone will be entering.
