I'm considering dropping Killstreak's katana and have him be a bit more of a focused gunslinger (+ hand to hand/gunkata of course) instead of a gunman/swordsman - for a more simplistic design. Thoughts?

Um... That sword was a knife when I approved the CS, and the living bombs were also not there. Please explain.

Also, I believe it is Goldeagle's post.

When I added it to the list of accepted characters it was a katana.

The last edit was 3 days ago. I approved it 4 days ago. I also very specifically remember a golden knife and no living bombs.

I don't much see it as a problem, personally. (Cause unless you kite, a melee character is probably gonna be within arm's reach of his opponent at all times. A sword or a knife, doesn't really matter, they're gonna be practically touching chests.) Though it's always a bit dubious when an edit comes after it's been accepted.

Which is the part that has me concerned. Also, changing from an indestructible and immovable ~12 inch mass to a 30+ inch mass does significantly alter the melee capabilities of the character in question. Though likely not enough to bump him up a tier. Adding an entirely new weapon is also a concern.

It's a weapon that's only a problem once, to a smart character. Maybe Ug Nug might have a bit of trouble with it.

And Evvie.

The bombs are a bit concerning, yeah.

The reason I approved it was because all he can do is maintain his ability to move (and perceive things) normally at speeds up to 500 mph. How is that any different from super speed? Any speedster that fast is either going to have to have some ability that makes them more durable, or some way to eliminate the normal stresses on a body moving that fast, otherwise they'd break both their legs two steps in. If you wanted your opinion to count, Melon, you should have actually given reasons instead of making single-sentence statements and apparently expecting us to infer all the rest.

This isn't my show, I'm not interested in arguing with anyone's rulings because it isn't my RP.

Though if you can't see how Killstreak's abilities are far different to being able to move at 500mph, there's already a problem.

And here you go again, throwing a fit without telling us the reason you do so. If you aren't going to provide any arguments at all, then why even post?

Uh, I didn't know it had been -officially- approved at the time of the edit. I was actively editing and changing things while we were discussing if he should be tier 4 or 5. That's why I asked twice if his equipment was okay, didn't know you didn't see it.

I mean, originally, he was packing movement sensor mines, c4 satchel charges, frag grenades and smoke grenades. I figured that was a bit over the top, and not really fitting with the setting he derived from, and changed it to some not-even-close-to-that-powerful living bombz. The knife was changed into a katana during the same edit, though I am strongly considering dropping it for concept consistency (and also because it's kind of straying into Mordem's concept, which makes the two of them way too similar)

So yeah, I am gonna drop the katana.

Hate to say it, Melon, but I gotta agree with Vordak. If there's no grounds for change, then there can't be change. If you have evidence, or a concern you can present it to me and I'll discuss it with Green and see where it goes from there.

But as it stands, with no evidence or reason to change it, it's cool as it is.

Also, Green. Feel free to rework the sheet, since you've decided that you're going to change it and you haven't yet gotten into a fight. I'll review it once it's reworked.

Edit: If anyone else thinks this is an issue, voice the concern now. Rather than alienate a player entirely without giving a reason why, explain your grievances and we'll solve it now.

It's Goldeagle's post. He may not officially be a part of the fight, but unless he moves he may be within the range of the fireball.
