He wouldn't be able to steal that, since GoB's ability is only effective when it's a NP. He might snag a few of his treasures though, if they were out when the battle ended.

GoB is physically represented as a key-slash-sword. It actually got animated in /Zero when he decided to bring Ea out. Which most definitely isn't something he'd be able to get at. :P

By the way, should I PM the effects of the Noble Phantasms to you, Raineh?

Class: Saber

Personality: A knight of virtues, Saber was once a man full of integrity and devotion, a faithful servant of a King that he believed to be righteous, a loyal friend of a Knight that he believed to be guilt-less. In the past, he was sure of his path, bearing an unwavering justice and clear eyes in which to discern evil. Now, though, he is less certain, cynical whisperings of an inner voice causing him to doubt what he once believed to be absolute. His smile, once like sunshine, now holds back a grimace, and he has become a dryer person in general. Saber, once virtuous, once generous, once merciful, is now rethinking the code of Chivalry that he believed in so ardently during his childhood years.

An unsettled Servant, trapped between two versions of his mythological self.

... eeeeh, no. No Gawain. A) we already know his canon stats and abilities. B) they're ridiculous. C) You've given him more buffs and more NP's, and mugged Lancelot. FFS, Gawain cannot win against him. He's supposed to be limited to drawing until sundown. >.>

So we can't put spins to canon characters? And what did the CS mug from Lancelot?

Um, I'm just going to give my own opinion on this...

I think a canon character can be changed if it's justified. For example, being summoned in an alternate class, or, say, if you're using Jeanne d'Arc giving her an NP that doesn't kill her so she's actually viable as a Servant.

The thing with Gawain is that he's deliberately a broken mess in /extra and that's why I feel like using him is kind of sketchy without serious alterations. Since I talk to Rain a lot I think that's probably part of the reasoning.

Eternal Arms Mastership.

Anyhow, you currently have his stats set up for A++, B, A++ if he has a single braincell in there. Which is imbalanced. You've given him more NP's. I dislike totally disregarding canon where convenient but keeping the bits you do like--and this is meant to keep to canon stuff with a divergence for the Fourth Grail War. Changing a lot, even appearance, but keeping the NP and skill name?

Also, I really don't like Gawain mythologically, either. Boring git.

On top of that, we have only two Servants. Bit too early to have double-Saber. :/

Gawain is already one of if not the most powerful of Sabers currently confirmed, canon-wise.

Your old Gawain is the best Gawain, as always.

Indeed. But at least canon Gawain is either effectively invulnerable in his preferred conditions and merely good out of it--appropriate for the second greatest knight of the Round Table. This one's skills alone are swingy as hell.

Also, he apparently can't ride a horse. A-rank Riding is mystic beasts and the like. B-Rank is 'good driver'. So this Gawain is apparently bad at horses.

Eternal Arms Mastership was Hercules's thing, Raineh. At least, that was what he had FIRST. So k, Lancelot stole from Hercules in terms of when the medias were produced.

Do you know what his NPs are? How they function? That's why I asked if I should PM you the effects. But k.

Daytime fights are rare in general, aren't they? If any of the others had a single braincell, they would realize some exploitable points as well. Especially with an inborn "weakness" of not giving a shit of who knows his name.

Or, you know, shit Class Skills. Or, you know, shit Mana, equating to a 'burst fighter', instead of a sustained duelist. But hey, that's k too. Click warned me about all this Skype-ly.

I'll mark off you not liking him mythologically as personal preference. It's a fair point, and you're a GM, so k.

And I've already mentioned in the Interest Chek that I was planning on making Gawain. So, uh, if you were against it, maybe it would have been reasonable for you to say something about it?

EDIT: C-rank is above that of a human, isn't it? I never found anything detailing his badass horse-riding skills, mythologically, so I assumed that he didn't care about being an equestrian.

Eternal Arms Mastership isn't actually listed as one of Herc's skills, I've never actually seen it there. You do kind of have a point about daytime fighters but that is balanced out by there being more secluded areas in this setting.

And, um, I don't think Rain realized you meant Gawain when you said Saber.

I'm not the GM here, um, just trying to mediate things, really. I'm a little worried about Gawain as a player because of /extra for the most part and I don't want things to get heated when they shouldn't.

Uh... I don't really want to get into a long argument, but basically... I'm not a fan of 'well, if everyone else plays well, this doesn't matter'. For roleplays, I'd really prefer a more consistent power level; saying 'it's fine if other people learn it without dying, work it out without dying, and then put it into practice' relies on way too much metagaming going on. All he'd have to do is get a secluded Master and go into spirit form. No fun.

Consistency is easier to manage.

And I've already mentioned in the Interest Chek that I was planning on making Gawain. So, uh, if you were against it, maybe it would have been reasonable for you to say something about it?

You said... Saber. Seriously, I had no idea you meant Gawain, or I would've asked you to come up with something else. How am I supposed to translate 'Saber' into 'Gawain'?

Well, I suppose I support Rode because I know his Gawain, but I'm not prepared to make depositions right now. Only two hours to make CS's before I try to wololo Imdugud into giving us his epic lootz.

That said, I'm planning to play as Pandora, if there's any objections to that before I rev up my MS Word.

Nothing against Pandora, so long as her NP isn't "Angra Mainyu". Unless you like bladespam. <.<

I honestly just don't care how Masters are formatted. So long as everything's included somewhere, it's good.

Class: Rider
Identity: Cao Cao, Duke of Wei

Personality: A cunning, pragmatic man that cares nothing for what others think of him. He cares little about status or traditions and judges people based solely on their ability. However, despite how ambitious and unscrupulous he is, he still possesses a high amount of personal integrity and treats his allies and subordinates well. On a personal level, he is stern and stoic, but often drops sarcastic jibes in a completely serious tone.

Stats:

STR: B

END: B

AGI: C

MAN: C

LUK: A+

N.P.: A

Class Skills:
Magic Resistance:
C: Cancel spells with a chant below two verses. Cannot defend against Magecraft on the level of High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals.

Riding:
A+: Creatures on the level of Phantasmal Beast and Divine Beast rank can be used as mounts. However, that does not apply to members of the Dragon Kind. Maneuvers that would normally be absolutely impossible become trivial.

Personal Skills:
Charisma:
B: The Servant is compelling in conversation. They can make lifelong allies easily and inspire entire nations. Their followers will be strongly loyal to them.

Military Tactics:
B: This Servant is among the greatest generals. They can assess battlefield conditions quickly with limited information and enact simple strategies without needing to plan. Bonus modifiers are provided during use of one's own Anti-Army Noble Phantasm or when dealing with an enemy Anti-Army Noble Phantasm.

Disengage:
A: So long as there is enough prana to keep the servant intact, the Servant can retreat even in the most unfavorable conditions and reach a safe location to heal. They also gain bonuses to defense while fleeing, and gain a chance to launch a surprise attack on their opponent if they attempt to pursue. Also has the ability to return an unfavorable battle to the first turn, along with the status of the battlers.

Noble Phantasm:
Shadow Runner
Rank: B+
Type: Anti-Army
Description: Cao Cao's personal steed, a black horse said to have run so quick that it would cast no shadow during its sprint. It bore Cao Cao to safety during his flight from Wan Castle, surviving numerous wounds during the process. When the horse is summoned, it executes a charge straight into enemy lines, wreathed in black flames that could decimate an army.

Sword of Heaven
Rank: B
Type: Anti-Unit
Description: Cao Cao's longsword, a golden blade claimed to have been able to cut the heavens and slice solid rocks with ease. It possesses a massive bonus to its damage against any Noble Phantasm that is defensive in nature. Can be combined with Shadow Runner to grant that Noble Phantasm the effects of the Sword of Heaven.

Speak of Cao Cao, and Cao Cao Arrives
Rank: A
Type: Anti-Unit
Description: Cao Cao is so famed for his military tactics and general ruthlessness such that a modern Chinese saying is literally "Speak of Cao Cao, and Cao Cao arrives", equivalent to the Western phrase "Speak of the devil". Whenever his true name is uttered, Cao Cao is capable of teleporting within ten feet of the person who spoke his name. The teleportation is not silent, and the target will be aware that Cao Cao has appeared. However, the prana cost of this ability increases with his distance to the speaker, and anything greater than a city's length is impossible for a Master's prana reserves to sustain. Anything greater than half a city's length will generally exhaust a Master's prana reserves. Moreover, Cao Cao only has five seconds to decide whether or not he wishes to teleport to the speaker, as he will have no clue of what the speaker's defenses will be like. This Noble Phantasm can backfire greatly against Cao Cao if he warps into a heavily-defended area.

Er... can someone explain to me why everyone is avoiding posting what NP's do? With Gil, I simply avoided it because anyone joining the RP should really know his abilities by now. It seems kind of unfair that OC's get the benefit of total secrecy but if someone were to join as Arturia or Medea, the players get the NP's as common knowledge. >_>;
