((Center Room))
Thieves Inc.

Act 1: 52 Card Pickup

Booker looked around the new room of the New York City base.Subway cars could be heard above them giving away the location as somewhere under the city. . After what had happened before he was not in the mood to have to redo everything. After his last attempt at this he thought it a miracle he could get this going. He was not going to flee and or burn down this guild. Not again and he would die before losing everything. Course he did not like thinking about that. Not after all he had lost.

He had just come out of the gym, his favorite place in the base. He was always in there and it seemed important to him. The gym was the only place in the base not as modern as the center room. He liked how it looked. The boxing ring in the center had a bit of emotional significance but that was a story for a later day. \

His new recruits were coming in today. He had to keep a professional attitude as he waited even though he was excited. Though most had the same story or so he thought. Some sort of thing led them to a life of robbery and thus to him. He had met the Mute. He had once managed to get his name out of him but did not say it out of respect. He had no idea where his second in command was and that seemed to be common. He looked around the room trying to figure out where he had gone. Maybe he was in the apartment area of the base. Booker had spent a good deal of time and money fixing this place up.

He grabbed a seat by the projector and awaited his new recruits. Most of them would know who he was since he had met them all in person with out his mask. He had told them how to get here to the base. It was simple just follow the red line till they found the location. A nondescript door in the wall with symbol of Hermes on the door. It was a show that this was a place for thieves. Course the security in the door would keep them safe.. He would know who they were instantly. Two to them had tried to rob him and the others had either done the same or impressed him enough to earn them an invitation. He was waiting for them now.

Geno's exact whereabouts during the idle time between missions was almost never consistent. Often he would scour the streets of the concrete jungle above, searching for new contracts, info or prey. Tonight was a bit different however. Since the genesis of what Brooker liked to call "Thieves Inc," there had never been more than the two of them. That name never grew on Geno, but it wasn't really his concern either.

With tonight being the first night of new recruits, Geno remained within the walls of the guild-home, in spite of his cohort still being oblivious to his presence. He expected as much from Brooker, after all, he did spend most of the day in the fitness hall.

The main chamber of the establishment branches to each of the major sections of the base, and was designed to have a relaxing and social feeling to it, but also doubled as the brief/debrief room, with a drop-down projector system. It would be here that upon returning from his exercise, Brooker would find Geno entering from the kitchen with a short but wide glass of what looked like water. Brooker knew all too well that it was most likely alcohol, and not plain water.

Geno made his way to one of the couches near the edge of the circular arrangement that decorated the center of the room, and nodded to Brooker as he sat facing the projector, glass in hand upon the arm-rest.

Lee hummed a happy tune as he switched lanes swerving in front of another car that was going to slow for his liking. He enjoyed driving, especially going fast, feeling the wind in his hair and the look in people's faces as he passed them by. Switching into 6th gear and stepping on the clutch, he sped up, passing by all the traffic and accelerated down the now car free street.

He was on his was to a meeting, he was supposed to meet some people at a house not to far from were he currently was. The group specialized in thievery, something excelled at but he was not there to do all the dirty work, he was the Informant, getting the information and passing it on, just like he had been doing before. Lee switched the Challenger into 3rd gear and began to slow down, he was near the place, the email that he was sent gave him directions, he was told he needed to follow a red line until he found a door with Hermes on it.

Turning onto the curb, he stopped the car and shut of the ignition. On the side walk was the red line he was supposed to follow, "That was easy." He mumbled to himself as he began to follow it. It did not take long for him to find the hidden door with Hermes on it; not wanting to draw to much attention to himself by just walking in, he simply knocked and waited for the man to open the door.

Before the incandescent and mysterious bright glow of the two regular sized flatscreen monitors that flanked both sides and lit the room in a dim blue haze, fingers vigorously typing away upon her keyboard, rather her key to everything in the whole world, sat Nora, her eyes bloodshot and her hair a rather unkempt and tattered mess, not to mention her fingers feeling as though they would dislodge from her hands the moment she quit typing so damn quick. Having already arrived before any of the others would to Booker's hideout, she skipped any formalities and just went to picking her room, decorating it with but the bare essentials, namely her computer and the various other devices she utilized to shatter the security of the city into pieces, quite a fragile security system it was anyways. Even a script-kiddie could disassemble such a simplistic set up. One of her hands continued to type as another reached for the lit cigarette that rested smoldering in the ash tray upon her desk, bringing it to her lips and glowing red amidst the dimness of her abode as she took a drag, carelessly flicking ashes aside instead of in the tray.

***********MANHATTAN SAVINGS & LOANS**************

Finally, after a few long minutes and a few cigarettes later, Nora was able to crack her very own safe, the safe which contained what was rightfully hers, and she would be damned if that bastard Richter was going to keep it all for his pompous, greedy self. A rather satisfied and smug grin crossed the hacker's lips as she felt a sense of accomplishment had been made, though again it was not much of a daunting task for someone of her skill in the hacker community.

"Nice." In a bit of silent glee Nora whispered, another drag on her cigarette before snuffing it out and taking a swig of the half empty can of blue monster, her satisfied smile though twisting into a grimace at the disheartening taste of luke warm liquid seeping down her throat.

Having received communication about a "thieves Club" Niesha was intrigued. She had located the place, using several of her informants, bribing, threatening, and otherwise trailing a somewhat loose bit of information. She studied the place as she stood in the shadows on the street. . Motion detectors. Cameras, she assumed, security. Any place that hid in the sewers would have that.

She grinned, taking out a jammer from a pocket in her black hoodie. If anyone saw her, they would assume she was a child, or a teenager just loitering about. She wasn't. Niesha was a woman nearing her thirties. but she used her child like appearance to undermine people, to get them to underestimate her. Not that she interacted too much with others.

She stepped towards the sewers, flicking the jammer on. Basically, it worked by messing with the sensors, making camera images fuzzy, out of focus. It didn't completely make her invisible, but it did a damn good job of it.

She sneaked in. She wanted to get a good look at the place before she decided to barge in and demand to be accepted. Bad mistake on her part, as she found her way in what appeared to be a gym, and a man beating up a pouncing bag as if he wanted to tear it apart. Niesha involuntarily sucked in a breath. She had issues with that level of...violence, and she stood frozen, eyes darting about, looking for an escape route.

don't panic. its just a pouncing bag. He isn't going to attack you she supposed that wasn't strictly true. Technically, she was trespassing. She stood there, unable to think what to do. And then she began to move as he went through what she assumed was his normal reutine. She darted away from the gym, continuing to look about. Her hearts desire was filled. This could be the perfect base. She was sure of that.

Still, she hadn't exactly been invited. Through her own ways, she had found out about this place and had made it her current mission to try and infiltrate the place, as well as to get a position here. So when she came across the man she assumed was responsible for this, the same man she had watched in the gym room, she stood in the door way, and said "sorry. I guess I came in the back way. Nice place"

”Kid stuff,” Eden murmured as she drove a Bentley out of a garage filled to the brim with various automobiles. The man who owned the mansion she’d entered had so many stupid cars he kept the keys in the door of each one. She’d made her way into the home fairly easily. He did have a pretty impressive alarm system. But it was not one she’d not encountered before. Within the home there was staff walking about, but there were so many rooms, she would just waltz into one or the other and not be seen. Apparently, the man was so arrogant he didn’t even have cameras set up inside his home, just outside. She’d looked.

In his bedroom he’d had several paintings on the wall which she moved ever so slightly to look for a wall safe behind, and found one on the third painting. After that it was just a matter of rehashing every technique she’d ever used and finding stacks of bills and jewelry. The jewelry would be easily described to any detective the man decided to hire, so she simply slid the cash out she could carry and closed it up.

When she’d gotten to the garage it dawned on her that the seemingly odd… ‘band of thieves’ meeting or whatever she’d been invited to was happening momentarily, so she’d taken a car just for fun. Now that car was roaming through town until she reached her destination. Pulling her cash filled purse on over her shoulder, she pushed her long dark hair back to her back away from her face, and took a quick look in the rearview mirror at herself. Not much makeup on, but she looked professional anyway. She got out of the car and her black pumps made a click on the concrete while she looked for this… red line. That was what the man had said wasn’t it? She had to admit when she tried stealing from this, Booker fellow and he’d simply seemed amused by her attempts to charm her way out of trouble, she’d been almost offended she hadn’t got away with it. But if everything with this was on the up and up, perhaps it had been luck that she hadn’t gotten away with it after all.

Sighing a bit as she finally found the direction she was to be headed, she walked briskly, white pants swishing around her ankles until she reached a door where another, rather rough looking man stood. ”Well. Who might you be?” she asked, cat like eyes studying him in an only slightly amused expression.

She heard a few voices chattering over the clicking and clattering of her computer keys and the constant electric drone of her processor and her monitors, garnering her attention to turn around in the ratty and misshapen swivel chair she sat in and face the old driftwood door marred with several scratches and dents, most of them covered up by the large black poster that was stuck to it with bent, rusty nails and thumbtacks, already ripped slightly in the lower left corner. The others must have arrived by now, Nora thought, and if so then she had better introduce herself to the team, something.....she really didn't want to do. Standing from her chair and giving it a gentle push back to her desk, Nora snatched from the back of it the Rammstein hoodie that was precariously hanging from it and threw it on over her black tanktop, pulling the hood snug over her head and fishing from the pocket an extra pack of cigarettes. She stuck one between her lips and lit it before taking a slow drag and exhaling a ghostly wisp of smoke into the thin, underground air.

Nora could hear more voices as she made her way into the main room of the hideout, pretty swanky for a den of loathsome thieves, misers, and modern day brigands. Nora was kinda expecting the place to look like the Ragged Flagon, seeing as she and the rest of these outcasts were based underground, beneath a city that barely gave a shit about any of them, or at the least didn't care about Nora. Or her other expectation is the place would be rather cluttered and a bit trashy, probably smell like stale bread, kinda like the apartment she once had in East Village. "Hey hey." Nonchalantly she spoke to whoever was in the room, a bit of a blunt and emotionless greeting to them as Nora wasn't one for making introductions, or for speaking to people in general, even if she did know them.

She sat down on the couch farthest from the group, slipping from the front pocket of her hoodie a seemingly normal iPhone, but what lied beyond the cracked and scuffed screen of this, in more recent terms, dinosaur of technology was an impressive amount of modified circuitry and hardware, not to mention some powerful software, that could grab New York by the balls with a swipe of the wrist. It was a gift to her from an old acquaintance, a renegade hacker and anarchist such as her, known only by his handle in the community as P35til3Nc3 or for the illiterate in leet, Pestilence. What looked like some punk college kid playing a rousing and monotonous game of Angry Birds was actually a skilled and often dangerous cyber-criminal, now skimming through some very confidential files pilfered from under the nose of one Mayor Richter Howard. Damn....wouldn't his debutante wife love to see all that Nora had seized from the hardrive of her unfaithful husband's laptop.

Booker was doing his best to try and be aloof in all this. As he walked from the gym he noticed someone was already in their room. He figured it was the hacker, Nora. She seemed to be the one most likely to do this out of the group. How he and Geno had missed her was beyond him, though he doubted his friend had missed something like that. He figured she would eventually rejoin the group once she was done with whatever was going on. She eventually did so Booker kept on his way.

He smirked a bit at Geno's glass knowing it was alcohol of some sort. Booker would never touch the stuff for personal reason and the fact his mentor had beaten that lesson into his head. That he was never to drink no matter what. His new crew could do so as they pleased but he refused to. It paid to be the guy downing tonic and limes while his target got wasted for real.

Then he noticed someone he had not invited here. A woman who claimed to have gotten information about the group. Part of his brain told him that this girl was clearly up to something but the other half told him that she was clearly skilled since she had broken in. "No idea who you are but here's the deal. I should be kicking you out but I won't. If you join the group and give me no reason to think you are untrustworthy. I could get rid of you." He said softly to the woman but he would not. That was not his style. "Have a seat or get a drink. " He told her as he watched the door.

He then heard a knock at the door almost at the exact time. Booker stride over to the door and flung it open revealing two people he had invited. A guy ,whose name Booker had found was Lee, and a woman stood there. Lee was a great asset and he needed as many as he could. So he emailed the man.

She was Eden, also known as his rival of sorts. Every time he did a job she would show up. Eventually he decided to just invite her to this group. "Come on in you two. Get a drink if you want. " He offered happy that his group was all here. He walked back to the projector.

"As many of you know, I'm Booker Conway. I'm the leader of this group I invited you all here to join. Obviously none of us are on the level so I thought it would be best to gather us all together." He said sounding happy for this idea. "Now before I get to the specifics of what we are going to do, how's about you all introduce yourselves to the group. I have to set up the projector for our first job." He said quickly messing with the old looking projector. He did things his own way and that was clear as day. Geno basically kept him in line.

As Lee waited for the inhabitants of the home to open the door, Lee simply fiddled with his keys, he had nothing better to do at the moment. For a first impression, the group was doing a great job. As much as he would rather be gossiping about the secrets of other gangs to more wealthy and savage groups for lump sums of money, he was here waiting for a group of thieves to open the door to there base.

Lee was about knock once again, but he noticed a Bentley drive up and a beautiful woman exit the car. Lee had to admit that it was an amazing car. He had grown up with hundreds cars, seeing all kinds of them, but he never liked the glamors cars that was seen in the driveways of the wealthy. He preferred the nice, everyday cars that he could take apart and rebuild in his image. The woman walked up next to him, her eyes studied him as she spoke.

”Well. Who might you be?” she inquired.

Lee looked at her with a grin, although he would love to just open up to the woman, not every in the group was a person he would like to trust, but lieing to a group of thieves was not something he really liked doing.

"Lee, and a have to say what a lovely car you have." he said as the door to the base opened up.

It was the man who had sent him the email, Booker was his name. "Come on in you two. Get a drink if you want."

"Thanks." Lee said politely as he offered to let the woman go first.

Again Lee could not lie, the base was nice, but he preferred he home of course. Grabbing a soda, Lee found a seat at one of the white crouches, and listened to Booker talk about bringing them all together and introducing them selves to the group.

Lee decided to go first, he did not want to waste time waiting for his turn when he could do it now.

"Well hello everyone, the names Lee, and I'll be your Informant and Dealer." With that simple introduction he chugged his soda, crushed the can, and waited for someone else to introduce themselves.

"How strange. I know who you are, and yet you don't know who I am" Niesha said thoughtfully "have I just stayed so far off the radar that I'm unnoticeable, or does my appearance make people dismiss me? Questions I have always asked myself. The thing is, even if you are extremely careful, information leaks. And" she said with a soft laugh, taking a seat and appearing completely at ease "I just happened to be at the right place at the right time." She pulled her hood down happily enjoy, further revealing her child like appearance, "cool place. My dream base actually, but always thought it would be a dream" her voice was completely child-like now, as she once more looked around the room with wonder, excitement and amazement in her tone. "Must have taken a while to do this"

She watched as he went over to the door when there was a knock, revealing two people. Niesha had never thought she was doing anything wrong by breaking into a thieves...base seemed such a trivial. And certainly didn't fit this place. She supposed she could have contacted Booker, but she didn't like leaving a trail. And obviously he knew nothing about her, so showing a display of her abilities seemed to be a good option. Otherwise she suspected he would have just dismissed her and she would have gotten no where. She recognised the two people, only by face, having no idea what their names were.

As Booker spoke to them all, Niesha watched him toy with the out dated projector. She leaned forward, with avivid interest, a hunger in her eyes that probably couldn't be explained as she examined it and said "you know, I could give that thing a total remodel, update it and make it something you have never seen before. Wouldn't take me long. I've done something like it before, but had to destroy it when...well. That's private" she leaned back in her chair, looking to the others, studying them with a keen eye, and she would expect that they would be doing the same. When Lee introduced himself, she took in everything he said and everything he didn't say.

"Shall I go next since I wasn't technically invited?" She rose and flung her arms outwards.

"I'm Niesha. Or Nessie. You don't get my last name yet. Although some of you might know me in anycase. I don't do what I do for money, but rather to challenge myself. I'm good with technology, and evidently made a hacker and jammer that enabled me to slip in here and take Booker by surprise. Or he's just a really good actor, in which case, bravo. I have numerous skills, and am more often suited to technology areas then anything else" she spoke with a smile and when she finished, she bowed and sat down.

So far the turnout of this group was seeming....offlandish....if that was the proper word for it. Nora merely stayed glued to her iPhone, ignoring most of the introductions, including Booker's. Hell, she had all she wanted to know about the man who would be leading them right at her fingertips. So naturally, introductions to Nora were just a complete waste of time, even her own. One by one, people began pouring in. After Booker, the first to introduce himself was Lee, who appeared to Nora as mainly the typical cookie cutter criminal, a streetwise hustler who was too much of a smartass for his own good. Nora merely shot Lee a short glance of her eyes before going back to her iPhone, fiddling around with whatever. Thanks to the equally ingenious work of her cohort Pestilence, she was already dowloading the floor layouts and blueprints to most of the corporate banks around Manhattan Island, the information she was able to pry from one of the major architecture firms in New York. On the inside she snickered though at Booker's once again...offlandish attempt to use what was truly a dinosaur. Nora hadn't seen such a beat up and rundown projector since her brief stint in high-school.

Another girl was soon to introduce herself, so happy and twee that Nora was sure her eardrums would explode and violently hemorrhage if she had to hear that God forsaken voice again. As a display of her disapproval of this giddy little bitch, she pulled her hood down even farther over her eyes, grudgingly trying her best to ignore that...that...UGH! Still no use as this chick....Nessie was her name....continued blabbing on and on about most stuff Nora just let slip by, until this girl started yammering about technology and about how she made a jammer. Awww....how cute. A fucking noob. Nora rolled her eyes. "You made a jammer?" She questioned the girl named Nessie. "Psh. Child's play really." From the couch Nora stood, clutching in her hand her iPod. She brought it forward for Nessie, and for the others to see before swiping her finger across it. In a split second, everything had gone dark before she swiped her finger again and the lights quickly came back on. "Try breaking into the Eastern Manhattan power grid via a backdoor that creates a doppleganger network on the main generator computer at Indian Point. Or better yet, I dare you to crack open the Pentagon if you want a challenge. Name's Nora, and as you might have guessed...yeah...I work for these guys. Still don't know why they hired you when uh....they already had a hacker." A bit of a quizzical expression mixed with a scowl found its way towards Booker. "So yeah....how come you got this script kiddie?"

The man’s grin made Eden grin back, laughing softly when he complimented her ride. ”Yeah, it is a fine car,” she spoke under her breath, eyes amused as she committed his name to memory. The door before them opened and Booker stood there. She didn’t say anything but followed behind Lee and into the evil villain’s lair or whatever Booker called this place. She walked over to the bar and mixed her own drink, a Tom Collins, the only man who really listened when she spoke it seemed, and sat near the projector.

After Booker opened the floor for intros, Lee went first, saying he was an informant and dealer. Well, okay then. A girl then spoke up and rambled on about tech and not being invited. ”Then why are you even here,” Eden mumbled, raising a brow between sips. She didn’t find the girl annoying though, just green. Another girl who seemed to think she could disappear into her hoodie seemed particularly perturbed by Nessie however, which was ironic considering their names were so similar as well as their apparent skills. Then she seemed to make the lights go out randomly and back on. Well, this was fun already.

Clearing her throat, Eden leaned forward. ”My name is Eden. I really dislike power plays, trying to one up others, and bragging. So let’s just leave my skills at disarming, deception, and diversion. Please, continue. Pettiness is quite entertaining,” she said, leaning back and waving a hand towards Nora before sipping at her drink again.

Noesha was use to this sort of prejudice against her. Most people assumed she looked younger then she really was. She took a small, hand held device out her pocket that could easily pass as a phone. She held it out, tapping a few buttons and then setting it down on the ground, revealing a holographic image. She moved her fingers in the air and then image became bigger, and she began to work. He fingers moved quickly, removing things she didn't want for the hologram and bringing in things she did. She worked silently and in determination, speaking softly "I don't give a tiny rats ass who you are, but I won't have anyone speak to me like that. For your information, ten years ago, after a few hours work and days of preparation, I hacked into the pentagon. I did it so that I wouldn't even leave a foot mark on the system, nor trigger any alarm. I didn't steal and information, I was just bored, had access to good equipment and thought what the hell. I don't exist so it's not like they can catch me, and even if hey traced me, I'd just ditch the computer and gear and go to another hide out." She said, "oh, and look at that. I just did it again" she looked over and smirked. She sat down, toying around for a few seconds more, copying what Nora had done and flicking the power off then on in the span of a minute.

"Don't test me. Do not judge me. I may look young, but I am 27 years old and have been doing this since I was 11. I don't like pettiness either, but I will stoop to such a low level when some atuck up snob assumes I am beneath them, and assumes I am not skilled. I name my toys how I want, so yes, I used a Jammer but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a out doubted thing. It isn't. Maybe you need to get your ears cleaned out, but I said I wasn't invited. I do not leave a mark, I do not make it obvious I am hacking, or stealing. I do not have a infamous name like yours, Nora. I am not looking for fame in the thieving world. I'm looking to survive. I am more subtle it seems then you are. I'd suggest using that thing in your head between your years, but obviously your brain doesn't filter what comes out your mouth, so I'm going to chose to ignore you now" her tone was stern, her expression serious as she picked up her hand held device, and turned it off, returning it to her pocket.

"I've never been good at diversion, would you mind teaching me?" Niesha asked, turning to Eden, turning her back on Nora, and focusing her attention on Eden.

Geno silently sipped from his glass as the new members entered, introduced themselves, and then proceeded to bicker. Well, some of them anyway. He was surprised that none of them looked to him for an introduction. Even in a well-lit room with now only six people in it, he had managed to not garner any attention from the recruits.

Lee.
"Nessie."
Nora.
Eden.

Lee seemed alright. As for the sparks that flew between the ladies, well, Geno expected as much.

He finished his rum right around the ending of Neisha's rebuttal, and rose from his seat. As he crossed between Brooker and the new members, he notices their eyes on him, as if expecting word from him. He stopped mid pace at this, raised an eyebrow at them, and then turned to Brooker, who was busy with the projector. Geno returned the gaze of Lee and the women, and remained for a long moment. With a shrug, he broke sight with them to deposit his glass into the sink near the far wall, and returned to his original seat. He knew that Brooker would take care of Geno's "introduction."

Milo didn't get to meet Booker, nor did he get invited to this "Thieves guild/club/inc" or whatever the hell it was. He had just gotten out of prison after serving 3 years. The web he hadn't luckily never really broke as they set him back up on his feet pretty quick, and his dealing with the web, also happened to bring up this meeting. One of Milo's oldest friends known on the streets as JTR, was the one actually invited but he was trying to get out of the game, maybe settle down and have a proper family. JTR had given Milo the instructions on getting into the meeting, and wished Milo the best of luck since this may be the last time they got to see each other.
"Hey man, I just wanted to thank you again. This'll set me up great" Milo texted JTR
"Don't mention it, but this time don't get caught :P"
"Since when do I do that? :P"
"Since you've been in jail for 3 years"
"Not my fault. Oh shit, almost missed my turn, I'll hit you up later man." Milo said as he swerved over to the red line. "Game day," he muttered to himself. Following the line he found the door, not just a door, but a lot of yelling and two blackouts pretty quick after each other. Instead of knocking Milo walked in, the door wasn't locked so, the yelling was only worse once he got inside. "Will all of you just SHUT THE FUCK UP!!" Milo yelled, he immediately regretted it considering he was the uninvited party guest.
"So... hi, I'm the unwanted house guest. I have no clue who you are, but is this the Thieves club... inc... guild... thing... interest... meeting?" he asked his voice trailing off

"I don't give a tiny rats ass who you are, but I won't have anyone speak to me like that. I don't like pettiness either, but I will stoop to such a low level when some stuck up snob assumes I am beneath them, and assumes I am not skilled.

Whoa.....well....Nora didn't expect that little outburst, but who the hell was this queen bitch to say she was far more surperior than her. Well actually she was, seeing how she's been doing this since she was eleven, about a few years before Nora ever broke into the hacker community. Damn, it kinda embarrassed her a little, getting schooled and rather scorned by this pint sized pixie who had a few fancy gadgets hidden up her sleeves, some of it even appearing a bit more advanced than the homebrewed technology Nora and her contact Pestilence were used to creating, though Nora tended to stay old school and just perfect her craft where it was born, the computer desk. The iPhone she carried was mostly for if she wasn't nearby her computer, say if she did have to go out into the field with the Booker and the rest of his hired cronies. Also, last Nora checked, the only true fame she had wasn't with the thieves or anywhere. Her notoriety lied mostly within the seclusive Hacker Community, and that was only like what, eight or nine skilled hackers much like herself, Pestilence included. First days are always awkward. Nora bemused, now that she was certain an enemy was made of Nessie, Don't care., and the midget practically owned her in front of everyone, a sick and painful burn that was in serious need of some aloe vera. Well maybe later she would just blow of some Steam in her downtime, just to forget this whole clusterfuck the introduction became. She was just about to relax until.....

"Will all of you just SHUT THE FUCK UP!!"

Her attention, as with everyone else's in the room possibly, turned towards the guy standing in the doorway. "Not my place to ask but uh....who the fuck are you?' Nora blurted out amidst the awkward silence that followed. Seriously, who the hell let this guy in? Maybe that little toy of Nessie's fucked up the security door for good. So much for subtlety.

"Sorry thats not the question to be asked at the moment unless your name is.. Booker I think it was. The question that should be asked that I am asking now is, where/who is Booker?" Milo said looking around the room, "Once I know he's here I can divulge everything you need to know."

Milo looked at the others making note of what they seem to be; Highschool Prom Queen probably a bitch, but great to distract people; A young lad in the corner, probably the same age or a bit younger based on his appearance; A punk looking dude, not even going to guess what he does he looks like maybe he'd be some sleuthy bastard; Then there was the one he was talking to a emo/punk girl, she was kinda cute, but she seemed a little on edge.

"So whats the game today?"

Eden laughed as Nessie chewed out the other girl, grinning over the edge of her glass when she finally calmed down and of all people, turned to her and asked if she could teach her. Drinking the final sip, Eden set the glass on a nearby table and nodded. ”Sure but it seems like the opposite of what you do. Isn’t what you do all about not being found out and making as little ripples in the pond as possible? Because diversion is hiding what you’re doing under a mask of deception or even chaos, rarely stealth,” she shrugged, watching the girl.

Of course, it’s not like Nessie got to answer as some idiot walked in loud and cursing. How stupid. Eden rolled her eyes and sighed, hoping there were at least some relatively normal members of this… thieves inc. thing. ”She can ask any question she wants to. Get over yourself,” Eden said, not even looking at the blonde when he spoke, as she would have said the same thing as Nora if she hadn’t gotten to the question first. ”So many egos, Booker. You sure know how to pick them,” she said, flashing their ‘leader’ a bit of a smirk.

Part of Booker liked them squabbling. It meant they would eventually get along. Eventually...he had to hoe they would do so. His plan hinged on them all playing nice. He had to do something about their lack of a team spirit and he had a way to do it. Originally he would have started yelling at them but held his tongue. He watched them yell until another person he did not invite showed up. This was getting annoying now. The guy looked alright. However he was not on the list. This bothered him. Still might as well guess who he was taking the place of.

"Alright I'm gonna ask. Who the hell are you? You sure as hell aren't JTR. I would know I invited him since I'm Booker Conway. Oh this is... The Mute. He has a name but you'll have to earn it. " He said looking at Geno and then back to the guy. "Spill. " He said looking at Eden now. "Everyone has an ego. It's what makes all so good. " He said giving her a small smile. He then turned to the group. "We are waiting on one more but he'll be here soon no doubt. My plan for this is to hit bigger jobs and better scores than me and The Mute could get. I intend to make this the greatest group of thieves in the world. If you are with me I'll make you very rich." He promised. "So who's in?" He asked as the projector started to show a museum.
