Lovely posts, Sweet Antonia, she makes me choke up. I liked the line about "closed-off heart". Though Mokely I do want to say that if you are going to move as scene as far as you did, you might want to check in with the people involved first. You had Chiudka leave Oksana, have quick conversations with some others, tended to "those most injured" and then had her return to find Antonia still on Oksana's lap. All that she did would take a few minutes and by doing that you basically wrote for me and Igraine that Oksana allowed the child to sit there and didn't get her off, or take her elsewhere etc. Accidental God-mod such as it were. I can work with it and I don't want an edit but I just wanted to make you aware of it since it isn't the first time I've had to work with that sort of thing from you. Maneuvering around a big scene can be hard without stepping on toes and I do try to be flexible but there are now several reactions off the table.

I will do my best to get something up today or tomorrow. I've got a few extra eggs in my basket of late, but it won't be later than tomorrow, I promise. I don't think anyone but Igraine is directly waiting on me.

Are you all on board with moving everyone to a conversation about "what next"? Or should we all move towards hunkering down for the night? We have a couple of ways to play this out, a torchlit journey up the mountain or that can be done in the morning. Let's figure out the general course of action via OOC so we can move there IC. Speak up, what is it you would like to do?

Morning seems like a better idea personally, bunker down for the night and deal with all the necessary burials and funerals etc

I'm good with whatever direction you send us, LT. A trudge up the mountain does seem like a wonderful opportunity for further tragedy and action, however. Pavel will get his coat back, and be good to go .

Oh Lil, if you know me at all by now, you know I was going to get my hug for Oksana in, one way or another *evil text grins because I do not have your evil smiley GM emoticon* And I was gonna do it with the one character I felt pretty sure, Oksana wasn't going to punt across the room! *preens proudly*

I know Vasily cannot leave the village until Sergei's body at least is likely laid up in a tomb of some sort for winter deaths - frozen ground is nigh impossible to dig into for graves. So morning would be best, in my opinion, but of course I can work with anything at all - totally flexible!

Sorry Lil, though I had assumed actually that Antonina crawled into Oksana's lap while Chiudka was absent - that she left Oksana alone with Oskar and returned to find Antonina. The last bit about addressing Antonina I admit assumes Oksana's reaction to the girl, and I can definitely edit it out (or it can be ignored).

Edit: I hope it's ok that I took out the last paragraph. :) So sorry about that! Upon rereading, my posts tend not to be as clear as I would like, and I'll make an effort to avoid making assumptions. That, and my characters tend to be control freaks. Chiudka needs a good kick in the shins sometimes, I'm fully aware. She isn't as great as she thinks, and some of these patients may end up with infections.

Also, AmongHeroes, I hope Pavel won't think ill of Chiudka, I meant to write that she started talking to him then was interrupted by Vasily. ;)

I'm ok with either one, however, seems like morning is what everyone like here. Waiting for the sun would be a logical choice, our IC chars need to finish tending the wounded, get a head count and maybe a few hours of shut eye before their journey.

Alright, just a little post but some movement for you all. Note that the storm is fading fast and that Oskar is outside building a Pyre. Does that method of burial work for you all? It seems like the most efficient way to get it taken care of without this turning into a furneral-rites RP. It seemed the consensus was to bury and then head up the mountain in the morning. I imagine we'll all want to have an IC conversation before we skip to the morning?

So with that in mind, why don't you all start to move your people forward to a point where I can make a time-skipping post to where they are all gathered around a table in the Inn with villagers and NPC's tending to/holding vigil at the Pyre.

When you are ready for that point, say as much in the OOC here and when the majority are there I'll move things. Does that work for everyone?

That sounds great Lil, and I will get mine done when I wake up in the morning. I sure did have great intentions, and I even got a start, but mostly tonight's been a waste of just staring at my screen, and getting nothing at all done :( Just wanted to let you know...

Unfortunately I'm going to have to pull the plug on this RP. I don't have the resources just now to do it justice. For those who participated, thank you. Perhaps we'll find our way into a RP in common at some point in the future.

I'm sad to hear that, LT. You did a wonderful job with this. The idea, the execution...all of it was masterfully done. I'm certain there will be a next time, and I look forward to it.

So sorry to hear it Lil, this was an awful lot of fun for the short time it lasted, the characters and the storyline. I pray everything in your world gets right-side-up, so you'll have the resources to revisit something like this in the future. *hugs*
