Yeah no worries. I totally love D&D so I have lots of tricks for broken characters but I think I've matured enough to use my power for good, you know what I mean? Okay so I'll probably have my character complete in a bit here I'm just deciding on what feat I want to start with and where I want to allocate skills since I only have so many with a cleric lol. Okay, do you have any more information for our starting area? so that I can write up a back story to go with the character sheet. Additionally, do you have any other sanctions beyond no Dread Necromancers? Just for future reference. Specifically do you have a band against Complete Divine or Complete Champion?

Haven't played d&d for years but would love to get back into it. So any room for a barbarian?

Sanctions not really, I have some special rules for Paladins since technically paladins were closer to European knights but no ban on Complete Divine or Champion.

Cyphers Falls is a small town in the southeastern corner of the world, it is surrounded by forests of pine and other evergreens, as well as rocky crags and mountains. The entire region is cut off from the rest of Kogorune by the mountains of Gradulf to the north and the Ice Sea to the south, except for a small pass in the mountains to the northwest. Cyphers Falls main purpose is a logging town, though farming is tough the townspeople are a hardy folk. A few miles from town sits the barrow of D'bitu, a ancient tomb to a now forgotten hero. The townsfolk are led by the druid Maesma, who not only oversees the daily administration of the town, but is the main spirtual leader of the town. That being said there are no formal temples in the town but rather small shrines for those who worship the gods rather than the old way. The surrounding woods are filled with all manner of game and the occasional monster. Overall to give you a image think Falkreath from Skyrim.

Inkwell a barbarian would be most welcome, the current party make up is 1 (possibly 2 clerics), a rouge or bard, and whatever I decided to throw in as support to even the group out if need be.

Standard starting gold for your class, so yeah roll that up. Post it here that others can look at it as well. When it comes to rolling stuff I'm letting you guys roll it with the expectation of not cheating, not a huge fan of roll 20 so I don't wanna have to resort to having everyone log on just for combat

You got it. I just gotta gear him and I'm still going back and forth on what feat I want to go with. Especially since I plan on making him and pre and post combat caster and a melee combatant

I realized I hadn't edited it from the Pathfinder version I ran locally, so technically its a Pathfinder changeling. I will be creating a whatever the party needs character, bards and rouges are both good for helping players get a feel for the game, dumbing down archivists though wizards with divine magic essentially.

I'll admit, I was asking because my first ever (and only ever so far) D&D game, I was given permission to make a changeling sorcerer and sadly the game didn't last long enough to level up due to two players causing mischief. Pathfinder changeling looks different from the build the GM gave me, so I'll be sticking with half-elf, and will probably be going with a bard. Will try out the Mythweaver site in a bit.

EDIT: Rolled 18 swear to god. Bard may be more rogue-ish than intended.

Dont you just level dice rolls? I have this friend who I swear to god I watched him roll. 3 18s in a row. I watched this happen.

Its ok, my one fiend needed to have her barbarian have a shit ton of 18's aka she cheated so her babrbarian had a 18 charisma. Her reasoning was charisma was beauty, proved that wrong when a drow necromancer showed up with a 21 charisma and made the entire tribe commit suicide, yeah thats force of personality.

....ok I'm a total noob at this so why would a barbarian need charisma? I thought charisma was more 'I can't beat this person with my fists so I'll do it with my will'.

Um, anyways, so not entirely spam-posting, progress so far

I guess that depends on the type of game you play. I tend to play characters that reflect their attributes even if they aren't class relevant. I dont know about cheating to have an attractive character but I'd think that if having an attractive character is important then you'd just put an 18 there if i rolled an 18 because it was relevant to the character. Charisma is an important stat for clerics but mine has a lower charisma than he has str, con or wis and its the same as his dex. its all relative to play style in my opinion. Which is why I've gone over to letting people use a point buy, means you can choose whatever you want the stat to be. had someone play a paladin with a con of 8 and used padded armor. awesome character.

Well we have a barbarian, cleric (possibly 2) and a bard, so we have our main dps, divine support and arcane support. For balance a tank such as a sword and board fighter, another barbarian or paladin, and also some kind of rouge or ranger to round out the party would be effective as well.
