The air became tense for a moment as the gazes of ancient eyes were exchanged. Finally Death gestured his hand toward the young man, almost as if to pull the very soul from his body. But instead, the keys of an oak piano sitting in the corner behind him began to play a . "Tut tut boy. Wouldn't want to stir up that indomitable temper of yours now would we?" Death's eyes fell back to the pages of his book, his grin fading into an emotionless gaze. "Haven't you heard? The big bad wolf is coming to town...and he wants to eat you all up. I rather think it a befitting end for a lot of self serving leaches like you " The page turned. "Yet...I find myself bound to be here, all because an ignorant little girl didn't know how to read a sign. So why am I here you ask?" The book slammed closed as cold eyes of death slowly rose back back to look upon Dante, staring passed the demon within him to see the mortal. "The question is why do you think here...Dante ?" A low creak escaped the seat as Death slowly leaned forward, anticipating the young mans answer.

"I'm here because distrust has a army and is hunting me and my kin, and I've become te vessel for a ancient evil." Dante spoke as he readjusted in his chair so he would he be able to lock gazes with death. "I've become a god of calamity death I feel as if this won't be the last time we meet, nothing but violence follows me." He said as a sinister grin formed on his face.

Cold silence filled the room as the piano stopped. A somewhat empty expression found it's way across Death's face as he slowly leaned back in his chair. "My my how audacious of you. As a mortal who's suffered the coils of being weak your whole life, you sure know how to talk a big game with a pinch of demon in you." Dancing flames within the fireplace emanated a strange pale hue, casting flickering shadows on the wall. The shadows writhed and spun, weaving into figures and shapes. "These demons have forgotten what the word god means. Who can blame them...having been stewing in this realm for so long, they've forgotten their roots." A scene began to unfold on the wall as the shadows formed the image of demons being chased by titans. "Being around humans for so long has made them forget what real hell is like. Or do you remember it Wrath?" An absent gaze passed over the door to the study as the other occupants of the manor made their way up to the stairs. "Nevermind...Dante don't let your arrogance or that thing inside of you convince you that you're a god. It'll only make the ground hurt harder when you fall. Until you realize this...you're not the one I'm looking for."

As Kyo followed the girl down the halls, he couldn't help wondering about their situation. How many of them were there? What made Distrust think that their demons were trying to gang up on him...or was that supposed to be obvious? Most importantly, what were they going to do about this? If what Katherin had said was true, and if Distrust and his human were the same as they were, then he couldn't be killed. And since they couldn't die, either, it sounded like they would probably be hunted for all eternity...

...Wow, eternity. Just that was a weird thought. Were they really immortal? What would this mean for them now? He just couldn't fathom it at the moment. Sure it was something that he had read about and even made stories about all the time, but to possibly experience it himself? He shook his head at the thought, unsure how to feel about it right then. Instead, he typed out another question for Katherin. "I know that we are looking for Wrath, but who is the other person we are currently searching for?" Truthfully, he hadn't known until just a moment ago, when Nightmare had popped back in for a brief mention at the thought of the boy who had left earlier. Apparently they did know each other after all, though he was thankful that the demon wasn't trying anything else at the moment. He didn't want another panic attack here.

Katherin paused to write her answer. Technically Death isn't a person. That demon lord hasn't choosen a human yet. We don't know how long he can last without one. Most demons in spirit form slowly fade. He will be forced to choose eventually but being Death he probably has more time to decide then others.

"Well then horsemen we'll just have to wait for that then. But what do you mean by one you need?" Dante asked curiously what the horseman said puzzled him what could he possibly need one of then for was it to face off against distrust or something more complicated then that he would find out soon.

Death?!
...Well, that was unexpected. Katherin seemed oddly unworried by it, though. Well, technically they were immortal, so didn't that mean that Death couldn't do anything to them? Or was this entity the only one who could end them? Nightmare was being unhelpful, though the image that flashed through his head gave the impression that it certainly wasn't letting him get away by any means. Was it that difficult to get a human host?

Keeping a blank expression, he nodded in response to Katherin's explanation. He decided that it might be best to remain on guard, however; whether they were capable of dying or not, Death was clearly a very strong demon lord.

"Oh boy. Now that's a good question isn't it?" Death smirked. "Tonight, you all sit in my company...just as you have since the day you were conceived. But only on this night will you know me...And your souls will call to me. For my vessel isn't that of purity...but that of demon tainted blood. Only then will a human be strong enough to embrace Death." The smirk across Death's face became a grin as he set the teacup on the table along with the book and folded his hands into his lap. "As I have been bound, I have come to reap the darkness from one soul. From the death of that darkness, I will take up residence in that soul." Wind suddenly rushed into the room as a far side window burst open, ruffling the pages of books and kindling the fireplace flames into an uproar. "So the better question, my dear Dante, is who of you impure humans has had enough?" In the blink of an eye, the study was empty with Dante sitting alone. The fireplace was cold as if it was never lit, leaving the room dark and silent. All that remained of the pale rider was his empty teacup and the dusty book, sitting on the table.

The only words Dante got to speak before death was gone were, "This should be enjoyable then." The rider had left a book on the table Dante decided to go and pick it up. "I wonder what kind of taste for literature death has." But to Dante's surprise the book had no tittle it was a beautifully crafted book though when Dante opened the book he quickly realized that instead of chapter this boom had names, and one of then was his he wasn't surprised to find the rest of the demon lords vessels in the book Dante quickly closed the book and put it behind him in his belt. He took one final look around and headed for the door.

Katherin frowned as she entered the library. She looked around the room expectantly. Se sighed when she saw no sign of Death. How long as that spirit going to avoid her? 'As long as possible.' Secrets whispered. She figured her demon was right. As long as he was in spirit form Secrets couldnt read him to expose his secrets. But her demon lord thought he might be able to get a glimpse if they were in the same room, it seemed that Death wasn't ready to take that chance.

As he followed Katherin into the library, Kyo looked around for a glimpse of the demon lord, but saw only Wrath's host approaching the door. How curious...
Another quick look around confirmed no other visible presence, but also revealed an empty teacup on a table. Unless the other boy had been having tea, that probably was evidence of the one they had just missed. Unless he was wrong and just couldn't see Death. Could he see demon lords without hosts? He wasn't sure.

Dante looked at both of the demons then walked back into the dinning room and sat back down In his seat. He was waiting for dinner and for death.

Did Death tell you anything useful? Katherin asked. She wanted to know what the spitit was up to. Why hadn't he picked a host? Would he join them? Or distrust? Or worse would he refuse to get involved.

Kyo examined the teacup before leaving the room, deciding that it had, indeed, recently been filled. It seemed oddly cold now, though. Other than that, there didn't appear to be anything else interesting about it, though he wondered if it should really be left there. Picking it up, he followed behind Katherin again, hoping to place the cup in the kitchen at the next available chance.

Katherin looks over Dante's shoulder. Well that is interesting. Death seems to. Have alot of information for a spirit. she commented in her paper. How did he know so much? What else did he know? As the keeper of Secrets she should know more than he died but that didnt seem to be true.

"Well I mean death is eternal I feel like you could get some much neede resources by now." Dante closed the book and put it into the table, "I'm growing rather curious do you have servants in this manner or is it just us miss Katherin?" Dante asked as he a devilish grin spread across his face.

Sorry no servants. I was left the castle in my great aunts will. I never knew her. I didn't even know I had any family until the lawyer contacted me about this place. I think it's perfect for our needs.Katherin told him. I am still hoping for the others to join us. Why don't I show you guys the bedrooms so you can claim your space.

Kyo tapped Katherin on the shoulder and typed up a short message. "I'm sorry, but is there somewhere I can put this?" He held up the teacup, wanting to put it away before going anywhere else.

Sure. I will show you the kitchens first. Katherin wrote. She headed back the way they had arrived. She lead them passed the the great room into another hallway. It took them several minutes to reach the kitchen. It was a huge room nearly twice as big as the great room.

Kyo looked around in awe at the sheer size of the castle as they walked. Katherin's family must have had a lot of resources to have something this grand built. How long had it been around for? He couldn't tell at all.

Upon entering the kitchen, he was astounded yet again at how big the one room was. One could probably cook for an army in there! It seemed to be fairly well-equipped, too, so that was certainly a good thing. The thought of cooking a delicious meal in there to share with others was quite comforting for some reason...oh, right, the teacup. After a moment of daydreaming, thankfully uninterrupted this time. the boy started looking around for the nearest sink to wash out the cup. Eventually finding one, he cleaned out the small vessel and set it on a rack to dry before turning back to Katherin with a small smile. "There must have been a lot of people in your family. I can't even imagine how there could be so much space here."
