In response to Lee's night-crawling proposition, Geno rose his hand to get Lee's attention, and then pointed to himself to show that he would go with him for the nighttime guard count.

Other than actually responding to somebody, his fiddling with the blade only lasted for several seconds, as Geno's empty state of mind was interrupted by yet another late member. This time, a muscular and sharp looking man with bruises. Another fighter would certainly be useful, especially one who would go loud in Geno's place. His response to Milo's wise-crack was reassuring that this new-new person wasn't also a meat-head.

He sheathed the knife and leaned forward in his seat, attentive to the rest of the plans that were being made.

Milo listened to everyone intently, but alas Niesha said it was time to go, "Whelp, I guess I'll go and get whatever her name is her gear," Milo said getting up and walking towards the bar first, not prepping another drink just depositing his glass in the sink, (What you thought he'd drink and drive he's not a savage). Now walking towards the door, he stood there and held it open for the lady, being a gentleman. Even with things like torture being fun doesn't keep him from being chivalrous and to be honest it's one of the few things he keeps from his upbringing.

-after Niesha walks through-

Making sure the door shuts Milo walked over to his car unlocking it letting Niesha in . "Nice car isn't she?" he asked as he turned the key, making her purr. Backing out and carefully pulling away, before kicking in the supercharger.

Lee waited patiently for everyone to voice there own opinions and ideas to one another. Lee though his plan was a good idea, all they need to do was to change or add to it until it was complete. Unfortunately, one was willing to go with him on the night crawl of the museum tour during the day. Lee was just about to ask the group for help, but cut was cut short by the gestures made by the Mute, the man pointed to himself so Lee assumed he wanted to come along for the ride. Lee nodded to the man before adding another 2 cents to the plan. "So, who will be delivering the artifact?" He asked the leader. He did not want the mission to fail due to the fact that no one could deliver the artifact. After Lee got his answer, he would be leaving for the museum.

Niesha smiled, and followed Milo out. She studied his car. "It's a lovely car" she said, "if I ever had the inclination to get a car, it would be one like this" she said, getting in and buckling up. She gave directions to her base. after a little while, she got him to pull over by an alley. She got out the car, taking out her hand held device, and bushing a few buttons, and then pushing open a door that didn't seem to belong to a store or building, but clearly led somewhere.

She left the door open for Milo, as she made her way in, and disabled an alarm. She made her way upstairs, and nudged open another door, revealing a small room, that had a make shift bed, and was mostly taken up with computer gear, half finished mechanical devices and other such things.

She started to pack it all up, shoving it all carefully into two suit cases, along with clothes, and other items. All in all it took her about ten minutes to pack up. She looked to see if Milo had followed

Milo smiled a bit when Niesha agreed with him on the car, "Good taste" he said as he followed her directions to the base. As he pulled in the alley he was a little confused until suddenly a few buttons later, there was a door, "Damn, before I was arrested all we had were trap houses and now we have hidden doors and underground bases. Shit changes pretty quick in 3 years," he said getting out of the car and following Niesha in. Looking around he noticed everything she started, "Looks like you take no downtime, how long you live in this place? And how much does it cost, inside may not be much, but thats one fancy door."

Niesha smiled. "There's a lot of things you might not know about. I've lived here five years. And No one even knows ths place exists. I don't pay anything for it. As for my gear..." She looked to her suit cases and shrugged, "Sometimes I make things and sell them for food or such. Other times, Its for me. It doesn't actually cost that much, and I use money I get from jobs when I have to, otherwise I donate it to a women;s and children shelter I know, not too far from here. I had a sucky childhood, so being able to give kids phones, dvds, things like that, is just...amazing." She said, grabbing her suitcases, "I'm ready to go!"

"Damn, nice to know you can live on your own, and that's a good heart you've got. Mine got played with a bit to much for the heart of gold award," Milo said walking towards the door, "It cool if we swing by my place? If we are gonna be staying with Booker I may as well grab my gear while we are out, if you'd rather head back to the base I can drop you off and take the next person for their stuff."

Unlocking the car and starting her up, he waited for Niesha to get in mumbling to himself, "Girl's got herself squared away, pulling some two face child-woman, heart o gold-thief, hack the world-builder shit, insane."

Niesha followed Milo back to the car, loading her things in, she said "it's really...it's just....well. When I was a kid, I'd see something id want, or a kid with it, or...just know I didn't have anything myself...so it's purely selfish reasons. Fulfilling my own choldhood dreans through other kids. Hey! Do you know where I can ride a horse? I've always wanted to do that"

She got in the car, hearing him mumbling "hey! I heard insane. I would lying if I said I wasn't" she smiled, buckling in. "I'll come with you. Better then staying there with Nora" she said "can I make you anything for doing this, taking me here?" She asked "maybe a really good alarm system for this fabulous car?"

"I don't know where you can find horse's but I can find out, maybe I'll swing you by one." Milo reversed out of the alley, pulling out into traffic, going along his way. "And you have no proof you heard insane," looking at her smiling, "also don't worry bout rewarding me, we're family now." he said managing to slip between an on-coming car and the one already in front of him. "So which one is Nora anyway? I kinda missed the introduction party,"

After a few minutes Milo pulled up to an apartment , "I'd say stick close to me, but I don't feel like sounding like I'm being your baby sitter," he said to Niesha as he got out.

"Cholo, what you think you doing here, yo kind ain't welcome," the ring leader stood up saying
"I'm grabbing my shit and leaving, now what you think you doing smoking my dope and not welcoming me amigo?"
"I'm thinking you a gringo who don't belong on this turf,"
"You're right and I'm leaving." Milo said pushing his way through, turning to see if Niesha would get harassed on her way in.

Niesha got out the car, one thumb hocked over the pocket of her jeans, following Milo. "Cute crib. I use to hang out in one similar, until I decided I needed privacy" she said softly, falling silent as he talked with someone he knew, evidently there was bad blood between them. Niesha could see them looking at her, and she could guess what they were thinking. Despite her adult body, her face normally drew people to the conclusion that she was a push over. She smiled sweetly at them all, but as one guy drew close, she whipped out a small flip knife, and had it near the guys kidney. "You wanna step back there, mate? Or shall we see just how far this knife can penetrate you?" She smiled once more, stepped back, and caught up with Milo, the knife disappearing again.

She gave him a smile and said "I think I should be okay now" she leaned close so she could whisper to him "it's all about your attitude. Doesn't matter that I'd probably be at a loss here. As long as I act like I can take care of myself, I'll be fine" she smiled once more, hooking her thumbs in her pockets

"Good girl, don't worry about those guys though. Every one of them is a low level thug for the local cartel, the ring leader out there thinks he runs the area, he ain't shit. Ah, here's my apartment." He spoke as him and Niehsa walked, opening the door he walked in. The place was very unkept as there was bowls and pizza boxes from the past week or two. "Pardon the mess, I'm normally to busy finding work to care about my place. Only time I'm here is caring for my plants or sleeping."

Immediately he pulled out two bags, and packed a third with clothes, then he walked around pulling drawers to grab knives, moved the fridge (which was empty and not even plugged in, gutted to be as light as possible and on pads for easy movement) to grab a machete off the back of it. Next Milo walked into the bathroom and pulled a lose tile near the shower head grabbing his 9mm, and a small wad of cash, then off to the bedroom pulling his only not really hidden gun (his 45) out of his nightstand tucking it in a bag. Lastly moving to his old school T.V opening its back grabbing his 50 caliber revolver, and his "bag of sunshine."

Next he doused his small back room with gasoline which he kept on the fire escape, lighting the zippo that was on a small counter next to the door.
-assuming Nessie went in-
"I'd recommend leaving now... you know I never got your name... still I'd recommend getting out of there." He said as he waited for her to leave the apartment.

"Yeah" Niesha said, "but I'm a small woman who looks like she can't hold her own against a man" she pointed out, amusement in her tone, as she followed Milo to his apartment "I don't mind mess at all. They only reason mine isn't like this is because I need to keep it clean to avoid detection" she said, nudging a pizza box "to be honest, I'm kind of jealous. I haven't had pizza in weeks" she said, watching as he went around and gathered his things.

She followed Milo out, darting out and standing next to him. "My name is Niesha. Some people find it a bit of a mouthful, so I'm happy with Nessie too. I don't go by my birth name since I don't have a birth certificate. I read Niesha in a book somewhere and liked i so I decided to go by that. And I just keep on talking, don't i?" She said, a musing expression on her face. Then she shrugged.

"I'm Niesha by the way. Although I'm sure Nora has a few choice names for me, Nessie is fine." She looked to Jason, taking in what he said, and said quite cheerfully, "I think I'm going to like working with you. A hackers dream is to have a photographic memory. Since I wasn't blessed with one, I'll just borrow yours, okay" she slipped her hand held in her pocket,

Jason laughed then said "ok?" in a manner where he wasn't quite sure how that would work but was willing to help where he could. He glanced around the room and to anyone close enough to hear him, sine he wasn't about to shout it out loud, he told the group his name as well. Introductions had probably already happened and it would it be nice to know everyone's names before the heist. "I'm Jason by the way guys." He looked to the other two women who were close to him. "So which of you is Nora?" This was the other name he had heard from Nessie.

When Eden offered to bring clothes for their incognito surveillance Jason nodded. "That would be great. The museum attracts a lot of rich people, and even the tourists know to dress on the nicer side when they visit the displays." He wouldn't need any himself, and he doubt any would fit his muscular frame properly, so he placed his empty beer in the trash and straightened himself up.

"Alright then let's get moving." Nessie and Milo had left to get her electronics. "Booker I'll make the jog around the area and the building. I'll take the exit count and find the best route for our exit either on foot or by car." He had left his car down at the end of the street, close enough to walk to but not near enough to make it clear it was his when he walked up. He still hadn't made up his mind when he had first arrived. Now he was all in and the money was sounding pretty good. This heist seemed simple enough.

"I'll be back in about an hour Booker." He then turned to leave, his clothes already packed up in his bag in the trunk of his car.

"You do keep talking, but," he said as he tossed the zippo in shutting the door immediately igniting the room, "whoever said that was a bad thing? Now I'd recommend we get out of here before shit gets crazy." As he started walking downstairs, the ring leader from before came running up, "Cholo, the fuck you think you doing? That's not just your shit you burnin, thats the whole building. DO YOU KNOW WHAT WE HAVE HERE, DO YOU NEED ME TO---" his words ended quickly when Milo stabbed him in the knee, "THE HELL CHOLO!!"
"Go ahead and ignore him N, so what were you saying about no birth certificate, I'm not sure how that works unless you're under an alias and even then you tend to forge one, so what's your story?"

"Where'd Rod-Dog go?"
"He went inside! Boy loco!"

"Looks like we may have company here you ready? I'm sorry, I thought they'd run."

Niesha followed Milo, listening as he interacted with the guy, and then as he asked about her birth certificate. "My mother was a druggie, my father...well. My father was a jerk essentially. No one knew my mother was pregnant, except for my father. They hide my birth, wanting to create basically a slave that could never be found. That's how I have no birth certificate. Well. No legal ones. I have twenty odd forged ones" She said, following him, looking about at the rising voices.

"That's the short hand of my story" She said, "So yes. I'm ready" She held her knife in her hand, swallowed, and said "Running or what?"

Diversity Vigilant Sentiment

Member Seen 7 yrs ago

An deeply tanned Indian arm drew across her forehead, wiping away the sweat that had beaded there. She had to catch her breath after the last call of her shift. Dark eyes studied the ambulance's interior, all silver with red seats and plexiglass cabinet sliders. The crimson stain of blood was swirled over the floor intermingled with IV caps, Jelco needle wrappers, nitrile gloves, and enough little 2 x 2 squares of gauze to make a bloody mosaic out of. Outside of the ambulance was the sound of a young man heaving, tossing his lunch into the parking lot behind the squad building. Nasreen shook her head.

She stood with renewed vigor after a short break and grabbed the water hose which had been pulled into the ambulance so that she could begin pressure-washing out the bottom of the ambulance before she disinfected it and did a final wipe down with Cavi-Wipes. As the blood and water mixture spilled over the back folding step, the young man- now paled and ghastly- walked into view. He rubbed his head and studied the Indian medic with blue eyes outlined by faintly bloodshot sclera. He wiped his mouth and shook his head.

"How do you deal with it?" He said, catching the water hose when she tossed it out of the back to him. Nasreen grabbed a mop and began to push the excess water either out of the back or out of the side door and down the steps.

"Time kid." She said, no accent despite her pitch raven hair and skin tone. "After a while, you'll become tolerant to a whole lotta' shit. Eventually, it just doesn't bother you anymore. Y'know. I still think to myself sometimes... How can vets work on animals? That'd tear my nerves up. Then again, I can shove the equivalent of a metal sickle down someone's throat or cut a hole in their upper airway while going down the highway, sixty miles per hour, like it's as easy as handling secretarial invoices." She shrugged her shoulders and the young man laughed. Lots of young men tended to show up, looking for excitement and thrills. Some couldn't take it.

She knelt down in her BDUs and would begin wiping the metal plated floor down in Cavi-Wipes.

"So why are you leaving?" The boy said, coming closer to the back of the ambulance opening, careful not to touch the doors before she disinfected them.

"Not leaving kid. Transferring somewhere." She glanced up at him as she propped herself up, one knee on the ground and her other up so that she could sling a tired arm over it. She flashed him a charismatic grin- the grin she'd given plenty of kids she'd trained and precepted for this line of work. "I gotta' better job waiting for me somewhere. Gonna' do more good than I do now. But I'll still be doing this." She gestured to the ambulance before she began to wipe the floors and seats down again. When she stood, she progressed to the handles and walls.

"Cleaning nasty messes?" The boy joked, the color coming back to his face.

"Haha, smartass." She shook her head. "More like patching up boo-boos and doing my little bit for the people." She flashed him a wink and he would finally get his nerve back to get into the ambulance and help her clean.
It was a somewhat sorrowful departure. She'd told them she'd come by every so often to help, volunteering and training the young ones. They were all a family, but Nasreen never could connect as deeply as she wanted to. There was a distance and difference between her and them. These were good people, and the cops she dealt with all were very kind. She was too, but she felt a stronger desire to do something than they did. It wasn't just a job. A sense of vigilance burned in her veins like an addiction she wanted to sate and release.

All of her major things were in the back of her charcoal 2014 GMC Terrain. Thank God she'd gotten this car not too long ago, because she had enough stuff to fill it up. There was her turnout gear, her rescue jump bags, her gear, her bag of nothing but files, paperwork, connections, a whole directory that she'd made to outline the functions of law enforcement reactions, and dispatch routes several cities wide. Then there was her clothes and things in the back- perhaps the smallest percentage of her things packed.

Nasreen pulled up and put her car in park. There was the red line. She tied up her thick wild black mane into a low ponytail and would step out of her vehicle, grabbing three bags to start. The rest she could unpack later. The woman stood 5'6, with an athletic form. Her arms portrayed a sense of strength, flexing under the weight of several bags but not showing strain. She had equally strong looking legs, if not more-so than her upper body. She'd fought men twice her size, and having to plow through a burning house carrying a fellow firefighter in all of her turnout gear with air-tank included had toughened her up quite a bit. Her lackluster femininity was displayed by how she chose to dress and also her choice to avoid make-up altogether. Instead she approached looking quite tomboyish in a white T-shirt and a pair of urban camo cargo pants with about ten pockets- as the over-abundance of pockets felt like a necessity to her after eight years in her career field.

At the door with the mark of Hermes, she gave a knock and checked her weary old digital watch. She was late- she figured she would be when her station surprised her with a going away surprise party before she'd left. She shook her head- they knew she'd be back, they just wouldn't see her as often as usual. As she awaited an answer, she'd latch her callous fingers around the well woven straps of her bags and fixate her stance to one of idle waiting, glancing around at the surroundings. She sized up her scene well and packed it away to memory. She even took a moment to revisit how she and Booker had met, which was an ironic encounter where she'd used her charisma to get into the home of a well off doctor who had told one of Nasreen's patients that they had no worth in their life. So she took several quite invaluable things of the doctor's, as if she was stealing the worth of his life. Material possessions occupied narcissists' need to be above and beyond in impressions after all. At least, to them it did.

They'd run into one another and she didn't question it. He'd only caught the tiniest glimpse of Dr. Hammond's prized faberge egg from a foreign client that was tucked neatly into her pocket. From there, he'd found her easily enough. After all, if anyone pointed at her, they would smile and nod. Nasreen, one of the most wholesome individuals in the whole city, as good as they come- and one of the finest paramedics some might be chanced to meet.

She smirked and shook her head.

Guess this is my way of walking the road with you Jason, even though you're gone. We'll see how it goes, yeah buddy? She thought to herself, glancing to the sky as if to symbolize the brief talk with a deceased friend before she dropped her eyes unto the door.

"To be honest, can you shoot? Cause I have no clue whats about to happen, we are in a burning building, with low level thugs of the Mexican cartel outside, my car out there, and a bunch of illegal objects on me... so I think it's time to buck up and move... or sit here wait and shoot. It's your call, honestly I don't want that car getting shot, I haven't tricked it yet." Milo said getting a little worried, holding out his 9mm towards Niesha. "Your call sister,"

The voices outside continued getting louder, and the fire kept spreading. Everything getting ready to pop any second...

"I can shoot" Niesha said "good, but not completely 10/10" she said softly, "is there another way out?" She asked, not familiar with this area at all. "Keep your gun. I have my knife, and to be honest, I'm better with that then I al with the gun" she looked about them with a slight frown, wondering how they would escape. "how many are there, do you know?"

After Lee affirmed Geno's attempt to join him, Geno stood up and exited the main chamber into one of the side halls, towards his own quarters. His room wasn't particularly interesting in anyway, a bed, a drawer for clothing, a desk with books and papers, and a chair. No fancy computer or hidden closets like some of the other members might have, but Geno did have one hidden drawer under his bed. This is where he kept his "job attire." For the most part, it was rather generic, a long-sleeved shirt and leggings, boots, gloves, and a vest. He also kept a cloak with a hood, and of course, his mask. All of these items were black in color for the obvious purpose of hiding in the dark more effectively.

He took several minutes to change from his normal clothing into this costume of sorts, donning the featureless and dull mask last. To anyone looking at him, it would be impossible to gleam anything about him physically. Maybe a trained eye could deduce that he was male based on his height and shape, but otherwise it was impossible.

He left his previous outfit folded neatly on his bed, and returned to the main chamber, perhaps gaining a few looks as this was the first time his new comrades saw his disguise. He stood by the door, and nodded to Lee, waiting for him.

Jason opened the door and stood surprised, looking to Nasreen who was standing in front of him from the outside. He looked at her curiously, eyes gazing up and down her body as he quietly calculated what she might be doing at the door of Hermes. She didn't have any product for sale and she certainly didn't look like a Jehovah's Witness. But he did see something he liked. Besides being obviously attractive he was more impressed with her physical prowess. She was clearly a woman who took care of herself and pounded out some weights. She was carrying a few bags, which didn't look light, and the muscles in her arms were flexing and moving, the definition clear. Perhaps she was a late invite, like him? He stepped backwards to let her in. Booker would intervene as he would be able to tell if she was supposed to be here or not.

He figured he might as well say something now, and break the silence that lingered with his stare. "Are you here to drop off a package or to stay for the party?" He stayed close by her at the entrance, in case she answered wrong as he wouldn't hesitate to take care of her for Booker and get her out of here. If she was here for Thieves Inc she would have the right answer that would make her reason for being here very clear. If she was here for their mission he thought about inviting her to join him on his jog to survey the museum. The other women weren't as fit and she would be a better pair by his muscular side, blending in as simply fitness freaks jogging along the street. They could cover more ground together than just him and be back quicker for Booker to discuss their next step. He couldn't imagine Milo and Niesha would take much longer either.
