I murdered all of the children..... after youtubing later I think the 'nice guy' ending was a little more succinct, rather than just 'Aaaaaaaaaaaand black screen.'

If you don't kill Andrew Ryan you got a chance to get the Man endings.

It took you 18 hours?

My first playthrough took maybe 8-9 hours playtime. I finished a later playthrough in one sitting (Maybe 4 hours), having collected all little sisters, upgrades, and tonics.

I remember when I was playing bioshock for the first time I was also playing dead space, and I'd heard rumors saying that dead space was disappointingly short and that bioshock was good-size, and it ended up being the opposite.

No idea. I've had the game on in the background for over a week, just slowly picking at it. But I do tend to play slow, and take in all the side-lore-shit, in this case sitting still and listening to all the tapes.

Love the theme of the game, know much about it, but I played it for about 2 hours and got bored, never to return.
Same with Fallout.
I'm fucking weird when it comes to games.

I couldn't (read: didn't) get into Fallout either. I tried briefly, but by the time I did the game was pretty outdated. But I'm due to try again -- once I finish the rest of bioshock.

#2 is already ten times better. Waiting for it to jump a shark.
