Name of nation:
The Reunited Draconian Empire

Species:
Draconian

Species Description:
Draconians are a species that has been both technologically and evolutionized to be in combat, whether to hunt or to fight with guns and such. Draconians are, most often, at a height of five and a half feet tall to seven feet tall. Draconians also sport scales- while before they were used in being protected from water and fire, small sticks and the like, they also accept metals, in which the Draconians digest in a separate stomach, that thicken and strengthen the scales. Titanium and aluminum lead to light, strong scale, while iron, steel, and other metals like that lead to heavy thick scales. Draconians are hunters- they see well both in light and in the dark, and sport several different membranes that they can cover their eyes with that can act anywhere from primitive binoculars, to sunglasses. Their eyes are reptillian, and they've got claws on every hand. They live up to one hundred human years- nearly two hundred cycles in comparison.
Most often, they'll wear what you see in the above picture, except with far stronger materials, as a sort of proud-for-our-ancestors kind of thing. Only infantry wear exoskeletons, or the Space Marines.
Description of government:
Republic - Instead of taking votes from everywhere, some Draconians gather support from their fellows, and they elect him as a Representative, which goes to a lower council. The Lower Council is a very large council that is in many areas- they make the little decisions, and pass things on up if they're too big. The Medium Council is smaller, with only a few that extend over many areas, and they take care of more important decisions. The Higher Council is a single, powerful group that makes decisions that affect the entire nation.
Description of military:
INFANTRY BRANCH
Infantry is the Draconians' least powerful section of the three primary combat branches, sporting a variety of genetically-engineered beasts, from Hunters, who are large dog-like creatures with six legs, very strong and very fast. They've got everything from what's essentially sea dragon eggs that they can drop into the seas of their enemies, and destroy naval trade, to what are essentially really smart spinosaurus's, just for the fear effect. Most of these creatures are armed with embedded shield projectors, that run off the body energy and heat. The more something gets shot, even with the projector, the weaker it'll get, since shooting the shield is drawing on the creature's energy. The actual troops of the Infantry are just Draconians as combat controllers, and a creature they train against, most commonly called "Six-Arms." they're just like Draconians, except instead of scales they've got a crocodile like hide, and they've got six arms, which can wield handguns, swords, etc. Space Marines are the only part of the infantry that serves on spaceships, and the only ones that are composed entirely of Draconians.

MECHANIZED BRANCH
The Mechanized is less focused upon by the Draconians, for reasons pertaining to the upkeep of what they already have. They use walkers- big ones. They don't like being in small spaces, even less so when that small space is in an even more fragile small vehicle. Most walkers are from the height of a two-story building to a 5-story building. They're armed to the teeth, and because of the size, they each have a variety of items onboard, from a small antimatter reactor, to mortars, lasers, autocannons, and missile systems. The biggest walker is the Command Walker Central, or CWC. It stands at five stories tall, and only has a few weapons. It's got powerful shields, and it has a very powerful radar, scanning, and communications technology. Very hard to crack, but you won't have much resistance. The smallest is the Mobile Combat Controller, which is two stories tall, and two can be deployed from the CWC. These act as waypoints for the information sent from the CWC, and have powerful 3-D mapping systems. They have almost no armor, and they have medium strength shields. They're faster, and they're armed with jumpjets and what's essentially called a "Electron Puncher," which has the effect of very powerfully sending a small shockwave towards something- enough to smash a tank in one shot. It needs charge-up time, and it can't map while it's charging.

SPACEFORCE- AIRFORCE BRANCH
The most expensive, the most expansive, and the most powerful of the three combat branches, the Spaceforce-Airforce combined shortly after the Draconians ascended into the skies. All fighters and bombers are atmospheric- it may dampen their effectiveness, but it also gives them a strategic advantage, where spaceborn enemies can't reach them, nor can ground anti-air.

Rogue's Revised said
Nova-class Light Cruiser- The Draconian's cruiser. Serves as an orbital bombardment ship, a longer ranged attack ship, and with more drop-pods than many other ships, to allow a greater invasion force. Armed with 8 main forward-facing Kinetic Cannons, and many anti-ship turrets and a couple Pulse Beacons on it. High armor, low shields, medium-to-high maneuverability due to engines extended out on 'wings'.

Nimrod-class Medium Destroyer- The Draconian's Destroyer. Serves as a ship that rams into lone enemy ships, with very powerful forward shields, and can often attack from short to longer range distances with hundreds of individual missile silos all across the body of this long, slim, spear-like ship. Low frontal armor, medium backward armor, very high frontal shields, medium backward shields. High maneuverability due to an extra set of engines that are extended out on 'wings' in addition to the first set.

Cirrus-class Espionage Lightship- The Draconian's stealthy hit-and-run ship. This ship packs a very powerful forward laser, powerful enough to get through even the strongest shields, using the Draconian's Crippler Laser System, or CLS. This ship is primarily armed with that forward laser, a giant holographic projector, and a very, very special piece of equipment: the stealth generator. This ship creates a 'bubble' that it is the center of, which replicates any type of signal that hits the stealth shield, and sends it to the other side, making radar or sonar or any of the like useless to detecting this ship. Low shields, low armor, high maneuverability due to 3 large engines on 'wings'

Battleship-X Heavy Destroyer/Battleship- This ship is a very unique ship, housing many high-ranking officials. The ship is approximately 100 human miles long dwarfs every ship out there, and is armed with over 80 turrets with the same type of cannon mounted on the front of a Nova, except less powerful due to size. This is a fleet-destroyer, but very, very slow only medium acceleration. High armor, high shields, horrible maneuverability. This ship is meant to never be taken down from the outside. This is a hint as to how to destroy it.

Sleipnir-class Transport & Support ship- Pretty much a cargo ship. Carries extra ammunition, supplies, and also acts as a major part in planet invasion with the largest amount of drop-pods and ground vehicles & infantry. Medium armor, low shields, medium maneuverability.

Technological Overview:
Rogue's Revised said
Current Technologies of Significance:
NOTE: When it comes to energy use, the Draconians use AT LEAST 2x or 3x more energy with a single laser blast. A CLS, or Crippler, would literally drain all of any other ship's energy storage.
Holographic Shield Stealth Device [Invisibility]
Holographic Decoys
Crippler Laser Systems
Energy Shield Systems
Unstable Teleportation systems
FTL Engines Drives
Genetic Engineers
Cloning technology
Mining Lasers
"Worm" Mining Vehicles
Neural Processors
Multiple types of Alloys
High-efficiency [and unstable] Cold Fusion Reactors
Super-High-Efficiency [And high unstability] Nuclear Reactors
High-energy-input Crippler Laser Systems
Power Cores [Very, very high energy storage]
Efficient Antimatter Reactors
Stasis field generators
Anti-grav Generators

Cultural Overview: To put it simply, they are a very proud warrior race. They respond to respect and power, not being nice or generous. They themselves might be generous, but they do it to one whom they respect. They celebrate victory, mourn defeat, and learn from both. They are not foolish- they our proud. They'll learn, and may get into a fight if they know they can win. They will gladly call for war against a race that is either weak or disgraceful, but if they prove to be worthy of respect, they will ceasefire, and reconsider.

History: Draconians have long memories, and long grudges. But, everyone they have a grudge with is dead. From the very beginning, they fought for their lives, Not in a way that the humans did, or any other. Their planet was a giant brawling mass, where the fiercest, the strongest survive. The Draconians had already evolved into fighting beasts by the time they were learning to speak, having to fight against monsters that were both bigger and smaller than they were. Even the plants sometimes tried to eat them; everything grew quickly, and lasted as long as it possibly could. Dying of old age was unheard of as the Draconians got smarter and smarter, and they spent night and day on alert. Disease never ran rampant in this world- the strong survived, and so viruses never had anywhere to go.

For some time, they spent in a sort of evolutionary stasis, fighting and fighting and fighting, trapping and always using their claws to rend flesh. And then a disgrace, an outcasted Draconian, always left behind when they went hunting, wanted to be safe. Not in their primitive huts- he knew that never had any of their enemies been underground. And so he dug, He looked down, dug, and found stone. He looked at this stone, looked at the vines on the trees, and the fallen branches, and made an axe. That very same axe is still preserved today in the most prominent Battleship-X. After that, the Draconians scrambled to make new weapons, to come at their enemies with these weapons. They destroyed their enemies, and they loved doing so, until they had cleared the australia-sized continent they lived on. There was a massive growth spurt; they covered the coasts all along. Here, they began to fish. They made boats, the rushed out to sea, and learned the passive side to life. Before, aggression and brutality ruled. Here, they would die if they put it aside, and so would everyone else. Here, they learned balance.

Shortly afterwards, they began to make bigger ships, and set sail for other lands. Some never returned; only two of the dozen did. They brought back animals, and the smart captains were rewarded with the first farms, the first animal farms. They were the pioneers; they made the first grain farms, and the first fruit farms. It was less thought, and more luck and on-the-spot innovation.

Four hundred years later, they were across the world, and each continent, each of the six massive islands, were constantly warring and making peace. The original continent the smallest, the strongest, had made the first plane; they made the first bomber, the first battleship. They were the first to go into space, where they were the first to spaceships. When the first spaceship, armed with a single cannon, fired down onto the command center of their most hated rivals, and destroyed their leaders, the entire world paused, and looked upwards.

A hundred more years passed, and there were two fleets in orbit around the planet. However, these weren't fighting- each nation had bonded to each other, intent on finding new lands, new peoples, and new ways to do everything.

And here they are.

Other: Don't piss them off.

I agree with ASTA, there will be no hacking done by any Septonian force, wireless hacking is just.....complicated and near impossible. Oh and I wasnt trying to hack your ship duck ( Sorry if I made it seem that way) what I meant by 'probe' was see if we could find holes or reconnaissance. Like how you probe a wound with your finger, or get probed by aliens when abducted.

Oh god the image I tempted to post right now,

There shields are pretty gurd I would say, capable of resisting a decent amount of attacking. They also automatically distribute the shield strength where it is needed, for example if someone was firing massive amounts of firepower at the front of a ship all the strength would be distributed there, and then if someone began attacking from the side some more would be put there.

No offence taken Cale, and I do admit I was touting the Alarai as a bit disadvantaged perhaps a bit more than I should have. I think I should clear it up.

While the Alarai didn't develop FTL, that didn't mean that they're weaker. They're different. For example, instead of FTL jumps initiated by independent ships, the Alarian Celestial Empire created the warp gate.

The Alarai were -and still are- difficult for me to figure out simply because they were underwater and I thought it would be fascinating to have an underwater race become a space empire while staying underwater (filthy hanar cheating by getting uplifted by Protheans)

Long before the Alarai even saw their first cow they domesticated the sharks and dolphins. Long before the Alarai built their first bridge they built long sturdy and well trusted aquatic tunnels underwater. Long before the Alarai discovered the steam engine they were powering factories and generating electricity with water pressure. Long before the Alarai flew their first airplane in the sky their soldiers and armies always fought what was above and below them in addition to what was in front of, beside or behind them. Long before the Alarai paved their first road they mastered the physics and engineering of propellers and torpedoes.

Did you know that I envision that the Alarai never created the wheel until an age equivalent to the human atomic era?

I'm rambling. Point is, I imagine the Alarai to be different and have most likely gone through very different paths of development than most of your races, but I do not imagine them to be inferior to any of your races.

Also, I'm a bit busy today but will try and get a post in later. I promise.

Oh well that's good, all you have to do is fire at different spots all around it. Swarmer missiles would be ideal; by spreading their targeting system so all across the shields, on every side, then the shields would have a spazz and die out from trying to send energy to every possible point, and finding that there is none left from the entire network screaming for the same thing, leaving the ship vulnerable.

Your under-estimating the processing power of a EU Computer. The network knows how much energy it has at all times, if its getting attacked on all sides it will just distribute it evenly across the entire shield.

So how would the shields work if there was an explosion directly against the hull? For example im going to tell you my next move, I plan to place charges along your hull using my SF troops.

The shield would block you from touching the hull in the first place. The shield is about 1-2cm away from the hull itself, the shield would prevent you from touching the hull without taking out the shield first. Oh and the shields of the Iscandarians are pretty bendable I guess you could say, they can shift to different shapes or certain parts can be removed to allow access.

Not an inter galactic empire of doom whose outdated ships can destroy the military of any single enemy species this time, I trust?

However, these weren't fighting- each nation had bonded to each other, intent on finding new lands, new peoples, and new ways to do everything. And here they are. Other: Don't piss them off.

So if I place some shape charges accompanied by nuclear charges directly against the shield, would that overwhelm the shields? I mean for a scout ship we arent talking like crazy powerful shields.

The nuke have to be the size and yield of a Tsar Bomba to do anything to those shields. In my opinion at least nukes become pretty outdated when you have shields.
