The guards have been watching the Septonian Pilot this whole time though, its a bit unrealistic that the Septonian can take out the first guard and get the second guard as well. As soon as the gun is pulled both guards are running for cover, the Septonian may have enough time to shoot one, but not enough time to kill the other.

Edit:I changed my post, it better explains my reasoning as to why the second guard could survive.

Edit 2: Edit Harder: I found the issue, I mistook the size of the weapon the Septonian was using and was wondering how he snuck a large weapon under the eyes of the guards, was actually smaller. Am fixing post.

Edit 3: And it is fixed

I don't really think this one can be done in a quick way, though:

Tonnes of bloody war

Apart from that, I've been inactive recently and haven't really been keeping up until recently, I'm afraid

Gah!

-Etherals launched attack on NEW CONDIA; failed, was pushed back by combined Eternal and Sazkajiht forces.
-Diplomatic Conference on NOUVELLE; between Humans, Valkians, Iscand., and Nouvellians.
-Short skirmish between Etherals and Valkians; Valkians emerged victorious with no losses.
-Iscandarians launched undeclared war on Humanity; was beaten back by Humanity and unknown allies; resulted in heavy losses for Iscandarians, minor for Humanity and allies.
-Etherals allied with the Hiveminds; launched offensive against New Condia
-Draconians entered the play; emerged outside of New Condia; joined the fight on the Etheral-Hive side when the Sazk. joined the Iscandarians side. Battle imminent.

The alliance between the Ethereals and the hive mind should probably only be considered temporary as well, as its more of an agreement to deal with a common problem than an actual friendship.

Again Wilson, both the Septonians and EU were responsible for that wsr. The hivemind started the war with the EU because they attacked first and the food the hivemind wanted was the EU's own fucking citizens .

All the Hivemind said was that they wanted food. You called them monsters. I remember, and if you disagree, send me the link. No Quotes.

The Septonians were retrieving their own, and were not suited for diplomatic engagements. Forcibly trying to contact them when you've got an army around them is not the best way to get through it. You also showed quite the lack of compassion or empathy, since you would probably like to retrieve your own from an alien planet, and send a diplomat instead. YOU started the war- they retrieved their own, and did nothing else. You fired, and that's what I'm putting.

It's close enough as it is, and it's just a quick update. If it were to be added into the OP, then ask Keyguy to change it, not me. It's more or less accurate for now.

The Valkians confine themselves to their own solar system, believing that once they have completely colonized and fortified the entire system, they will be ready for expansion. The Draconians are more like a virus- they will spread as far as they can, or they want, setting up little bases and outposts everywhere with cloning facilities or incubation facilities, and simply let their rate of growth grow exponentially. New Condia, I've decided, is the closest inhabited planet to the Draconian home systems- not as in they are neighbors, but that is the closest. I'd say that there are probably half a dozen to a dozen systems already 'seeded' with Draconian bases. Each of those bases will build up, establish contact with the home system and each other, and begin pumping out ships and such as they expand across the system.

New Condia isn't a major battle, in their minds- it'll be a first step towards galactic dominance.

Might have to hinder those plans.

By the way, so that no one can complain in the future, new warships will be rolling out in Valkian homespace. Not mass-production, but there'll definitely be an increase. Many ships are gone, exploring neighboring systems, so it's best to keep the home defense fleets up and full. Explorers probably won't be produced until there is an active war with someone.

And stealth isn't exactly a special drive. Draconians go full-blast with stealth on their Lightships, so that they are effectively, totally and completely, invisible, but space is massive. What is 'close' in space is too far to go with a bullet on the ground. Giant ships keep their distance; they can't afford getting too close. Space is too tricky to handle in to pilot that close. So, visually hiding oneself is really only needed if you're being a Lightship- where you're essentially coming right up to someone's face, blasting them apart with a powerful gun, and then fleeing.

The Battleship X could stealth itself, if it wanted to. It'd be much, much harder than a Frigate or even a Cruiser, but it could. If it sat at the edge of a system, and shut off all active sensors, locked in its heat and everything, ran silent, it'd be invisible. It'd be pretty damn hard to detect without getting in close. And the likeliness of getting in close to a single spot on a MASSIVE SPHERE, is pretty damn low.

Being unseen isn't fancy unless you're going in close, or even medium range- just shutting most everything down and deactivating all active sensors is all you need. Actively sweeping for things is revealing your position- to a passive scanner, it lets it know the source. So everyone sees you if you actively scan. Valkians actively scan- Draconians only scan if they think they can overcome anything, and lock on active sensors to a target to blind them. It's like laser lights, I think.

And plasma are like, generators that create a containment field, no? Produces plasma, puts it inside, and then jets it out? High rate of fire would mean overheating, and an EMP could possibly disrupt the field. If you're about to fire, or holding a shot, that'd essentially destroy that containment field, but not necessarily the systems, and blow up.

Stuff like this is why stealth needs to have specific rules tailored for it.

Magic needs them as well.

So I just joined earlier this week and I'm slowly losing faith that this RP mainly because whenever somebody challenges Duck he either meta-games or god-mods his way out of the hostile situation. I've also been reading the IC posts and it would seem that the EU is impossible to beat, mainly because of his unchecked methods. Everything before was just relatively minor, but now it seems that his un-named, minor characters can dodge rounds fired at point blank with no idea of what is happening. I genuinely like the RPers here and have great ideas on what should be going on (props to ASTA for pointing out that stealth systems don't work in space. Much intelligent! Very win) but Duck seems to be breaking the game at every turn. This is RP 101, Duck. You cannot dodge, shield, or ignore your way out of everything.@Apollo: I need that gif for my sig, bruh......

This.

I can't really complain, though. Whenever he and I fight it's usually "Immovable object meets unstoppable force".

What?

Magic need rules?

Magic has no rules, it's magic, remember?

Science has rules, science has laws, but magic can do whatever, remember?

((This doesn't apply to you, ASTA, you're quite smart.))
