My internet provider messed up my payment but it's been cleared up. I am actually in the process of finishing up my character sheet and then I'll get the IC going, today.

Appearance:
There is nothing that is very imposing about Thomas. He stands at roughly 6 foot 2 inches and weighs around 175 pounds. His build, under his clothing, is not that of a lean movie star, nor is he skin and bones. Thomas does have some tone to his physique, but he is described as average. His skin is lightly tanned, though that has probably lightened over the past 200 years. Thomas has very short brown hair, almost military-like. Thomas's chin and upper lip are covered with thick brown hair, a beard and a mustache. Blue is the hue of his eyes. They are not deeply romantic, nor are they piercing, they are more emotionless and empty than anything. Empty, that is a way of describing Thomas's facial expressions. Usually he is expressionless, and if he is feeling some emotion, it is hard to read.

Thomas's clothing consists of a pair of worn down blue jeans, a black T-shirt, and a leather coat, though he took the coat off for the big freeze. His boats look military, and used. Thomas carries himself in a very collected manner, besides the beard, he appears very well kept.

Biography:
Being from Minnesota gave Thomas an edge on some of his competition. The winters were frigid and terrible, long usually. The summers were hot and muggy. The state truly had the "best" of everything. The edge that he received was his ability to deal with different climates. Throughout his childhood and young adult days it did not help him, but the minute he set foot onto a military base, he had an edge. Thomas's childhood was very average. One would think that his father was a military man, but he was not. Thomas's mother and father were both teachers and both very much against his choice of entering the military, but they were happy that he chose the Air Force. It is not often that Thomas talked of his childhood, and not because of any sad memories or abuse. He refused to talk about it because there were not many good stories to tell. He had a few scuffles in High School, but that was about as exciting as things got for him.

After his High School education was finished, Thomas decided that he wanted to do something productive and meaningful with his life. What did he chose? The Air Force. It seemed like a decent enough idea, but it ended up being the best decision he made. For whatever reason, Thomas had a knack for flying and was excellent at following orders. He knew he wanted to be a pilot the second he stepped foot on the base and saw the jets. The process was long and grueling. Though he was an excellent pilot, he had some shortcomings that restricted him for awhile from earning his full position as a pilot.

After becoming a full fledged pilot, Thomas realized that there was no real need for him at that moment. The United States was, surprisingly, not at war with anyone. Eventually a civil war broke out in South America and Thomas was able to deliver all kinds of bombs and missiles onto enemy encampments and bases, supply lines and depots. It was fun for him while it lasted. The enemy had no real firepower that could knock him out of the sky, but there was always still an adrenaline rush that went with flying over a "war zone". The civil war eventually came to an end and Thomas was stuck doing training exercises and supply drops.

Thomas returned home on leave, a few years into his career as a pilot, to discover that NASA had taken an interest in his flying abilities. Thomas did not know how to describe his move from the Air Force to NASA. It could have been a promotion, transfer, loan, he really did not know how to describe it. What he did know was that the training regime was a lot harder and more intense than that of the Air Force.

Thomas was never able to fly a rocket into space or anything of that nature, but he was able to practice on a machine quite a bit. Eventually though, NASA no longer found Thomas necessary, so he was relieved from duty. The plague was in full effect at this point and many jobs that were available were not interested in an ex-military pilot/NASA trained pilot. If it were an option, Thomas would have moved in with his family, but the ones who were not dead or dying from the plague had moved out of the area to try and escape it's grip. And thus, Thomas was homeless.

Through some old connections, Thomas was able to find out about the plan to send people into space. Those same connections figured out a way to get him aboard. The reasoning they used was that if the auto-pilot was damaged, they would need someone who was trained to bring it back onto the Earth. That was a complete lie because everyone knew that the auto-pilot would not break, or they were 90% sure. Still, Thomas was able to get aboard and was able to be frozen. Now he finds himself in a very long sleep, waiting to be brought back to the world he knew.

Old World Profession:
Thomas, at one point, was an Air Force Pilot, NASA experimental pilot, but finished off his last years in the old world homeless.
The skill set that he has brought with him is one that most soldiers would have. He was, at one point, a good shot but that has faded. Now his marksmanship is less impressive. Thomas has some very basic first aid knowledge. The one skill that Thomas has, and he excelled at and never lost, was his ability to pilot almost anything. if it flew through the air, he could learn to pilot it and he would be damn good at it.

I'm sorry to say this, i got an interview for my dream job going on Tuesday, if i get this job i will be gone for six months to a year meaning i probably wont be around to see this through. But if i don't get the job i will be back here and i will post later Tuesday.

I'll try and get something up tomorrow, been busy lately.

I'm working on my IC right now and will get it up by the end of the day.

I didn't get the job so i'm here to stay.
