Name(s): Kaname Housen
Gender: Frustratingly androgynous Male
Age: 18
Birthday: April 16
Personality: An unpleasant sort of likable human being. He has a very flexible moral moral code and the uncanny ability to think of a justification for
everything. It's not out of malice though, he does it because he can and it's convenient to. That said, it could be a lack of empathy since there's definitely some kind of disconnect going on. He is extremely persistent in that 'childlike enthusiasm' sort of way and doesn't have a great deal of tact, often coming off more rude than he intends. That said, he's not all too good at speaking in the first place and seems to have an all around 'tense' feeling to him.
Strangely enough, his personality is rather different when controlling Puppet-chan. Almost as if he's given her an identity of her own.
Appearance: Wears clothes better suited for a walk around town, of course.Biography and Family History: The Housen family is one that spans back six generations. They're a fairly independent line, with only a minimum connection to the Mage's Association and it's politics and traditions (read: they take their money, purchase resources, and maintain the masquerade). The family is oriented towards Earth magecraft, and their choice specialty lies in producing humanoid puppets. They got their start when their first head's childhood friend decided to teach her a thing or two about magecraft, and it was decided that familiars would be the way to go. Unfortunately she lacked the stomach for animal familiars and opted for puppets instead. Five more generations later and then you had Kaname.
Over the years the family's become an isolated batch, keeping outside contact with the mundane world to what they could manage on trips to the store, from the comfort of their home, or what is mandated by the government. They'd also become a bit... crazy. Definitely control freak-esque, for what else would you call cutting your 7-year old son's arm off to prove to him that puppets were superior because he got tired of making puppets, and had the gall to ask: "Why do we have to keep making stupid puppets? Can't we do something else?" Though they did, technically, do something else, Kaname rather liked that arm. But at least his father was 'nice' enough to replace it with a prosthesis, and he
did leave with a valuable lesson: don't be insubordinate to your elders in this family or the next one will be ten times worse, you little shit.
That incident aside, there wasn't much else to speak of. His childhood was spent mostly learning magecraft and martial arts, and skipping a good deal of school under the pretense of illness. His family was very strict, controlling pretty much every move like he was a puppet on a string (eheh), but not any more abusive than the arm incident of '94. They
did once dress him up as a girl to mock him though, but that kind of backfired. Then the Grail War rolls around again, and they force Kaname to participate on their family's behalf, a wish already decided by his betters for him to grant.

Puppet Familiars
Use and construction of puppet familiars. It's a specialty of the family, and a specialty they're rather good at. They all tend to look very human, as per the family's traditional design choice, and are still powerful enough to give a Puppet Master from a family of equal generation a run for their money.
Earth Magecraft
Manipulation of earth and spells dealing with grounding, cultivation of energy and energy embedding, pretty much. Crest mostly has defensive spells that aid in keeping the user away from harm or blocking it, as well as spells that change terrain to disrupt/debuff/annoy enemies, like for example, turning the ground beneath their feet into mud and then hardening that to suppress enemy movement. Quantity of direct offensive spells are low, but there are definitely a lot of trap-like attack vectors.
General Magecraft
You should all know how this works.
Mystic Codes and EquipmentMystic Code: "Puppet-chan"
Functionally indistinguishable from a human - looks like one, talks like one, acts like one, etc. - except for when she's coming at you like a freight train. Or, more accurately, with speed and strength slightly below that of an average Dead Apostle. A rather simple puppet, not too elaborate in functions. All she does is punch hard, take hits, run fast, utilize martial arts, and cast Gandr. She's also collapsible and carried in a suitcase when not in use.
Mystic Code: Magical Prosthetic Arm
A magical prosthesis replacing the left arm. Definitely more durable than its flesh-based relative and provides a degree of ambidextrousness. It contains a hidden compartment that contains a stealth charm that conceals Kaname's presence, sounds, smells, and shadows when activated by passing prana through. However it does not make him invisible and efficiency will decrease should preparations to attack take place. Additionally, the arm also contains a blade located in the wrist that can be extended/retracted or dispensed outright if needed.
Cell Phone
...Well he doesn't really have people to talk to, sadly. But it does have a connection to the Internet.
Non-Magecraft Related SkillsJujutsu
A puppet is only as capable as its creator. As such, the Housen family have made it a point to become expert practitioners of a martial art. Not one specific martial art practiced through generations, as that would make them predictable, just a martial art. Incidentally, this is not that martial art - though Kaname does make good use of the minor focus in short weapon combat - but it is the focus of the extracurricular club he attends, when he has the chance to attend.
Karate
Here we go. The martial arts style used by the family's preceding head has been taught to Kaname after it having been decided that there wasn't sufficient leveraging of the puppets' physical strength and speed in his original choice of combat art. Long story short, he's really good at karate.
Cooking
It's okay. Not Shirou or Sakura-tier, but not absolute shit either. Surprisingly good at utilizing poultry (There's a joke somewhere in there, I think)
Avid Browser of 2ch
The greatest asset. Beware.
