"Anxius!" Malacia cried out. She ran to Anxius' side and let him lean on her as he struggled to his feet. "Anxius, please! Are you okay?" She said in panic. She knew he was not okay. She saw the wound; she saw what happened. Her eyes began to water. She knew what might happen and she did not want to think about it. She just wanted to hear the reassuring lies from him; she wanted to hear that he was okay.
"T-Thanks," Anxius groaned. He glanced back at his wound. A wound like that did not heal easily. he stole a glance at Malacia and his worries were confirmed when he saw her eyes. He sighed quietly. He did not reply and diverted his attention to the newcomer. With great effort, he moved away from Malacia and stood up tall before the peacock. "Prepare yourself to reconsider, bird, we were hungry, and not for whatever rations they might be carrying, but for the rabbit," He grumbled.
Malacia flinched as Anxius admitted what they were planning. "Anxius..." She whispered, pawing at his foot. She was scared. Anxius had to be healed, but he was already trying to alienate the peacock. Malacia pleadingly looked at the peacock, hoping to catch its gaze.
