Sooo, this is just an interest check to see if anyone would be interested in a roleplay using Disney characters, but in a high school setting? It wouldn't be cheesy or super PG rated, but maybe a little mature and playful? Like imagine Princess Jasmine being a really rich girl who has a bad habit of stealing, Pocahontas being a cool hippy that's kind of a stoner, or like, Belle being a hipster that reads a lot and has no time for your mainstream crap.

I guess it wouldn't HAVE to be exactly like that, but just some ideas ya know? Would anyone being interested in getting a little creative and turning Disney characters into a more modern version of themselves? Fun or lame?

Yes! It sounds goofy, but there are so many things you can do with the characters. Like Belle's boyfriend could be a total jerk or possibly abusive, hence the nickname "The Beast" or something like that. I would love to do this roleplay.

Unless a plot is discussed, I imagine this more of a spice of life type. Haven't done one of those since middle school XD if more people get interested then I'd be happy to join. Might do Elsa XD

I was thinking about playing Arthur from the sword in the stone as like a gifted kid whose really innocent and doesn't understand the world well.

Since I really want this to happen, I compiled a list. Someone has to at least do a 1x1 with me if this doesn’t happen because I’m way too excited for something that may not even happen.
Snow White could be a runaway. Cinderella could be abused by her stepmom and sisters. Aurora could be a sleeping pill addict. These are super general ideas though.
Mulan: A trans-boy who is from a really conservative home. I’ve read so many fan fictions about this and have become really enamored with the idea of it.
Rapunzel: I have such emotions about Rapunzel because Mother Gothel was actively abusive. She could be a really sheltered girl who’s been homeschooled and brainwashed all of her life. Maybe she was just saved from her kidnapper after 16/17 years or thinking that this was her real mother.
Anna: Well obviously having a terminally ill sister gives you somewhat of a story line. But I’m thinking of something else and I don’t know what it is. I am really in love with Anna’s character though so I had to mention her.
Alice: Well, I’m thinking a stoner. Super into weed and shrooms and psychedelic drugs.
Gisselle: A foreign girl who’s really oblivious to the customs of whatever country this would take place in.

I'd be willing to 1x1 if this doesn't work out.

Anna could just have a sheltered upbringing, super naive, but very preppy and outgoing to compensate for the lack of outside interaction. Both she and her sister could have been home schooled up to this point. Similar to Rapunzel...who could also be their cousin, according to the famous head-canon XD

Had the same idea with Mulan and Alice XD but I'd do a 1x1 if not too many people want in on this and you guys are still up to a group rp I may take on 2 chars

If this does happen, I just reallllllllly wanna grab Rapunzel before anyone else does. I tend to make my role-plays really dark and kind of angsty though, as a fair warning.

Those are the best kinds XD if it gets far enough, I do plan to have Elsa succumb to her illness. Let's hope this grabs more interest so we have a diverse cast n_n

I can also see him as the leader of a group of very childish bullies but adored by adults XD loved Peter pan but after watching Once Upon A Time my views on him have....darkened

Unfortunately somebody has already mentioned Mulan, my favorite Disney character. If I played her the idea would be much much different than the one stated. I honestly don't like it... At all.

If I can't be Mulan I'll take Flynn, I have so many ideas for him. Including why he's using a fake name.

Maybe one character a person for now? It would keep things simple and everyone can get a character they like.

Hey no big deal! We all have different ideas and the one I listed is just my gay little mind trying to make everyone queer XD So if you call dibs on Mulan, I dont see why it would be a problem ^_^

I kind of love Mulan too, she was my favorite princess as a kid until the new princesses came along and I fell in love with Tangled and Frozen
