Howdy y'all!
LilOrphanAnnie here, or as I prefer, Andie.
So I've been wanting to do a Harry Potter roleplay for sometime now, specifically a next gen one. The problem is, I haven't been able to come up with anything along the lines of a plot or story line to follow. This certainly is an interest check to see who might be interested in a next generation Harry Potter roleplay, but I need your help.
Rough Ideas:
- Murder. Something to do with the murder of a student.
- Conflict between magical folk and muggles. Possibly the revelation of the magic world to the muggle world? (Harry's children live in the future, which means smart phones and things like twitter, instagram, snapchat, etc. exist.)
- Technologically advanced Hogwarts/Magic World and something to do with it?
Those are some of the ideas I've scavenged. Another thing, I'm looking for maybe one or two co-gm's to run this IF it even makes it past the interest check.
So, what do you guys think?
Lemme know!
Name: Isadora Sidonie Howell
Nickname(s): Izzy; sometimes called Dora but mostly just by close family members.
Gender: Female
Age: 11
House: Gryffindor
-Average height for her age
-She's naturally thin, but strong
-Usually has a smile on her face
-Either has her hair in a low pony tail or a braid
Wand: Cherry wood, dragon heartstring, 11 inches
Pet: A small gray and white cat named Tallulah (Tally)
Strengths:
Best class is Charms as she seems to be particularly good at them. She’s not so bad when it comes to Potions or Defense Against the Dark Arts either. Despite her small size, she's also actually physically strong and quite good at flying.
Weaknesses:
She hasn’t really gotten the hang of transfiguration yet as it is a bit more complicated to comprehend. Although she’s a bit better at this than with her Care of Magical Creatures class.
Personality: Izzy is strong-willed and stubborn girl. She’s intelligent, but not cocky and is almost always unafraid to speak her mind. Sometimes she has trouble seeing things from other perspectives due to her passionate personality, but she tries her hardest to be understanding and not judgmental. Although she’s confident, Izzy has trouble carrying conversations and forming close friendships. You could say she’s just not that outgoing. This is one of her biggest insecurities other than always feeling like she’s not quite good enough. Once she does make a new friend she’ll remain fiercely loyal until the other person gives her a reason not to trust them.
History: Izzy is the second child of Theophilius and Katryn Howell. Her older brother, Terran, has always been much more talented than her. Although she’s always been jealous of him for that, her parents have always given them both the same treatment and an equal amount of love (which is a lot). She’s also never held a huge grudge against Terran, and actually they’re quite close. But there is some sibling rivalry that has always been present. Her mother was a muggleborn, and coincidentally were both doctors. It’s probably the reason why she decided to work as a Healer. Her father is a half-blood and met his wife at Hogwarts. Because her parents both had full time jobs, Izzy and Terran were usually looked after by her Aunt Tilda. This is how she became so close to her cousin, Fiona. She grew up around a lot of magic and couldn’t wait for the day she would get her acceptance letter to Hogwarts, especially once her brother started attending.
NPCs:
-Theophilius Howell-Father-Works for the Ministry of Magic in the Auror Department
-Katryn Howell-Mother-She works as a Healer/Mediwitch for St. Mungo’s Hospital
-Terran Howell-Brother-Three years older than her and sorted in Gryffindor
-Fiona MacDougal-Cousin-Only a month and a half younger than her. She’s also Izzy’s best friend, as they pretty much grew up together.
Hi! I would love to be a part of this. Hope I'm not too late!

Hey there! I'm Andie and I'm looking for one or two people to do either a Harry Potter or some sort of fantasy and/or supernatural kind of RP.
Now, I don't have a specific idea or plot. I would like to follow some sort of plot so I'm open for suggestions and what not. We can totally bond and figure it out together, like partners <3333333333333333333333333333333333333333333
When it comes to Harry Potter, I would love to do anything from Marauders era, Next Generation or, ya know, regular ol' Hogwarts when our Chosen boy Harry was still dickin' around. Not really up to do canon characters, I'm leaning more toward some OCs. I'm not totally against having actual characters in the RP but I myself would prefer to write for an OC. I just find it hard to think of what characters in the story would say or do, and depending on the plot it just makes it that much more frustrating, ya feel?
As for fantasy and supernatural type RP's, I'm not much of a gamer...so I couldn't really do any kind of battle or strategy RP. I like playing characters that might have some sort of power or ability (for example, I've just recently been in an RP where one of my characters is a necromancer. That kind of stuff.) I'm more of a modern fantasy kind of girl. Not really historical stuff. I'm totally up for some kind post-apocalyptic or dystopian future kind of stuff too!
I should say that I'm NOT up for any sexy-times or smutty stuff. I mean, I'm so down for some romance but we should try to keep it PG, folks. I also feel like romance should not be the main focus. I like playing female characters, but I was thinking that we could have two, maybe three characters we're each playing to try to make things fun, huh?
If anyone is interested, PM me and we can talk about it more!
Max:
Although Max tried to save himself by smiling he knew this girl wasn’t biting. She did, however, smile back at him. Her blue eyes were clear in the sunlight.
“I’ll take that into consideration next time,” she said. “Sorry for the mishap.”
He heard her laughing a little, and before she walked past him she nodded quickly at Max. As she walked away, he stared after her. Max wanted to call after her to ask her what her name was but at that very moment, a slight chill ran through him. It was a nice, sunny day with no wind at all. It could only mean one thing.
Max was careful when he looked around, but no matter how much it happened he would never get used to how suddenly they would appear. Right behind him was a tall boy with blood dripping from his throat. Max could feel a scream bubbling in his throat, but he forced it down. If this thing knew that he could see it then Max would never be able to get rid of it. But as hard as he tried to just casually glance around, he couldn’t help but notice the…the marks.Helen Schwartz.
A voice in his head whispered her name softly. Max tried not to stare directly at the dead boy. But he needed to get another look. Something was very wrong about the way his skin looked. Something seemed very familiar about it too. When they found Helen’s body, somebody had carved symbols into her skin.
Before Max decided to take a closer look, the boy stepped forward scaring him. He tried to control his breathing as he slowly turned around and walked away. He knew if he turned around he would be giving himself away so he tried to keep his pace casual. He would just go to the library.
But he just couldn’t get that dead boy out his mind. What was up with his skin?
Max:
Max was very startled indeed. It was kind of his fault, he guessed. Max had seen the girl walking in his direction but hadn’t moved out of the way for some reason.
“O-Oh, I’m sorry. I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going. My bad.” She said as her face became a little red. Max blinked and frowned.
“It’s…okay. Just, uh, be careful next time, okay?” He didn’t mean to sound so mean and he mentally smacked himself for it. She was blonde and petite, had a pretty mouth, and nice blue eyes. She seemed nice enough.
“I mean, not in a bad way. Just, you know, maybe try not to cover your eyes while you’re walking?” He forced an awkward smile, fully aware of how much he was embarrassing himself.
Lydia:
After school, Lydia went back to the library. She liked how quiet it was and the librarian was fond of her. Charlotte was nowhere to be found, which was kind of nice considering the fact that Lydia had to study for an upcoming exam in her British Literature class.
When she arrived, she saw a girl in her grade following a boy into one of the private study rooms. She had never seen him before, but she had seen the girl often in the library. Lydia would have spoken to her in the past but she always seemed to cower from the idea. Sometimes she hated how hard it was for her to talk to others.
