Belgrade, Serbia eh? That counts as USSR region. Accepted!

It seems you guys want to go hardcore mode!

Also we need two console makers, one is SimYouLater and we need one more person, YOU WILL NOT AUTO-RELEASE THE CONSOLE, YOU MUST START BY ANNOUNCING THEN MARKETING THEN RELEASING IT!

Or, if you guys want to see how it works, SimYouLater will be the only console developer.

I will start the RP shortly.

Satellite States like Ukraine, etc? Remember, any region that isn't officially listed will either be added to the list (not too likely) or "rounded" to the nearest region.

Posted. That's how you write a post guys, here is the layout for releasing game information.

[Name Here]
Genre: (The Genre of the Game)
Topic: (The topic of the game such as Shooter, Comedy, Ganepack, etc)
Audience: (Who your game is aimed for, Pre (1-5 y/o) E (Everyone, E11+ (everyone 11+) T (13+) MT (16+) M (18+) and Adult (21+ Games have a chance of being banned)
Price: (Self-explanatory, try to make it $25+ or else you won't make profit)
Regions: (Regions, International Markets list them, ONLY put down an INTL market if you are releasing all over: E.G North America = Mexico & US/CA)
Languages: (Cosmetic. Languages the game is available in)
Platform: (On what system the game is released)

Features

-Here you put down features on how the game works & plays, pro tip: Put down what type of graphics it has and sound or Immerse into a (something here) it makes the list of features look bigger. Also list Unique Systems here.

Plot: If any, put here.

Systems: If you have unique/original/creative modes put them here, if you explain the mode you'll probably get a higher score. E.G Throwing Daggers II Assassination system (basically an insta kill system)
And always structure your post somewhat like me:

[Company Name]
[What year it is]
[HQs you own]
[$Money]

@Jerkchicken

You can only research a technology 3 quarter years before it comes out MAX. So please edit that out, also 32-bit graphics are like Star Fox for the SNES or Donkey Kong Country, I believe.

EDIT: Also, you have to do marketing PER region. Your release game (First game) doesn't count as it's free, but your Sci-Fi shooter (what does SHMP stand for? xD) can't be released in 7 different countries, unless you used nano marketing for more than half of them. Note that you could use Nano Marketing on ALL the regions minus one or two and the one with the normal/higher sales negates the Nano Marketing, just a pro tip for 'ya.

shmup/ shoot em up

Also I thought Europe counted as one chunk for the sake of advertising .

Also why the restricted tech tree advancement? I remember no restrictions in the actual game on tech besides time and money cost for being earlier . Shit I could totally within two years make an MMO in the vein of the original Neverwinter nighs mmo that came out in '91 or some of the commericalized MUDS/MUCKS that existed as like prototypes of the modern MMOs at the time.

Eh, it wouldn't be realistic, in return for the restricted technology tree there's more space for designing your own game. Also, I'm really liking your originality on the Serbian Mystery Story, heh. If Professor_Wyvern posts today, I'll be able to timeskip us.

What do you mean realism.

By the late 80's there was already a bunch of experimenting with games and the early internet . Especially with the aforementioned MUDs & MUCKS

DiamondBlizzard, take MMOs off the tech tree and make up a special system for it based on arcade cabinets except with a high chance of failing if another MMO has over 50% market share and is growing, and give MMOs high running costs (2 mil per quarter year should do it).

No need to go that far yet, and it's not on the technology tree.

Except we don't want to go all willy-nilly, we want to give the graphics an era/time or else it's no fun to get to 1996 graphics in 1993.

You can't even do Mini Marketing for each of the regions in Europe (there are six, seven if you count USSR)

I suggest releasing in Serbia, UK, and one more region, spend no more than $1m on advertising, or spend $750,000 on a SMALL marketing campaign and do nano for the rest of europe. You can get away with it but I'll most likely spawn in a bad event if you decide to go OP style. So try not to do more than 2-3 Nanos.

Say you release in Serbia, UK, and.....France! That would be $750,000 if you did a Mini marketing campaign each!

CEO Name: Sir Arthur Bell
Company Name: Belltower Ltd.
Company Logo: A silhouette of Bell Hall, with "Bell tower" written underneath
Main/Starting HQ: British Isles; United Kingdom; Bell Estate
History how it was founded: The Bell estate has been in the hands of various members of the Bell Family since it passed into their hands during the reign of Richard the Third. Part of Richard the Thirds attempt to consolidate power was to promote people from the lower nobility and the Bell family, formerly Yeomen, were made Gentlemen as a result of this consolidation. Later Edward Bell refused to fight at Bosworth Field, avoiding the attainders placed on opposing nobles by Henry. Edward claimed divine intervention told him not to fight, although in reality he was merely a coward who was hoping to let the rest of Richards army do the work then swoop in for glory.
During the English Civil War, Richard Bell fought for Charles I. Richard Bell was, at some unknown point, killed by Parliamentarians. Upon Charles defeat, the family fled England only to return during the restoration. The Bell family were rewarded for their service to the Crown by making him a Baronet. In 1720 the existing building was bulldozed and replaced with Bell Hall, featuring a tall tower above its entrance that was simply named “Bell Tower”
The Bell family slowly grew in stature over the remaining years and by 1874 the estate was four times the size it had been during the reign of Richard the Third, constituting 50 acres. It was filled with ‘colonial treasures’, including diamonds from India and objects stolen from the White House by Edward Bell, who participated in the war of 1812. Although Edward had engaged in battle in America, the families true wealth lay within the East India Company. After the loss of their American plantations in the revolutionary war, the Bells had turned their focus to the East and became involved in the lucrative East India Company. Like many involved in the East India company, they made a fortune pocketing great amounts of money informally. However, in 1857 company rule had been replaced by Direct Government rule. The Bell Families growth stopped, and they were forced to sell off part of the estate to balance the books. Misfortune struck, in 1874 the East India Company was dissolved completely. The Bell Family sustained themselves through sales of their colonial collection, however after the great depression hit in the late 1920’s, the family were forced to sell off more of their estate.
By the end of the second world war, the Estate consisted of only Bell Manor and 3 acres of land. It was owned by the heirless Mary Bell who died in 1977. The nearest living relative was discovered to be her third cousin twice removed, a lower class family in the Midlands. The family had diverged in 1820 when one of the children married into the lower classes and moved away. As it turns out, the Bell Family forced him to silence in order to avoid damage to their reputation. The estate has now been passed down to Arthur Bell from his parents. Arthur is a technophile who has embraced his upper class heritage. Having grown up during the arrival of the first video games and seeing the possible future potential as power grows, Arthur see’s the market as a potential way to make a fortune and add his own chapter to the long running Bell family history. In order to save money, Arthur converted the east wing of Bell Hall to form the foundation of his new company. Arthur set up his Directors Office at the top of Bell Tower (Keeping the door from Belltower to the west wing locked during the work day in order to stop employee’s straying into his home) and simply dubbed the company “Belltower”

Accepted! Pretty interesting backstory as well!

@Everyone so you see how the calculations and sales are gonna work (and turns and time) it is now Q2 Spring 1989 I have to wait for SimYouLater to review MY games then I'll review YOUR games and then I'll calculate ALL our games, I have a formula for it, disclosed only to GMs. Considering this is our first day, I may pause it if he takes too long to make our reviews only as so you guys get how it works.

EDIT: Forgot to tell everyone, you can post but it'll be Q2 yes, you can market and release your previously marketed and announced game but I don't suggest it until the sales come in!

Well, since sales are delayed and SimYouLater was busy today (>.<) Q1 is extended by a day, I will be moving this Saturday or Sunday and it will take 1-4 days to set up PC or so, so it'll be paused for a day or two.

I'll wait until Q2 now, since I was late joining and would rather not increase the work load on you last minute.

I'll just IC excuse that the first game which we auto release got delayed till q2 for technical reasons or something.

You could've done it anyway >.< it's not a big workload unless it's 8+ games in total. Eh, need to wait for Sim to do sales, I'll move on up to Q2 after he does them.

I STILL NEED A CO-GM!
