Muse narrowed his eyes at Books’ words, nodding slowly as she attempted to work through what she had said. Though since she didn’t recall ever being a “human lizard hybrid” (at least not recently), she still had no idea what was going on. Thankfully, Rae’s explanation made things a bit clearer. “Ohhhh they drugged me? That explains some things.” she replied. “I remember waking up feeling like I was drunk off my ass, and then they had me drink something that cleared my head up quite a bit. But then, I realized that I could hardly go anywhere so long as I had a penis, so then when they weren’t looking, I did this!” she explained, twirling around a bit to show off her new body. “Though I’m not sure that whatever they gave me to start with has worn off completely… my head’s still feeling a little bit fuzzy.” she told them. And, as they had perhaps noticed, she was also rather easily distracted.
“Right! The monster thing!!” she exclaimed, bringing herself back to the problem at hand. “Yeah! It’s, kind of like, attacking people out there in the more open areas…” she explained in response to Books, sounding a bit frantic but also not totally capable of putting her words together right. “I kind of get the feeling that it’s not supposed to be here. Do you guys know how it got in?” she asked.
Then, she turned towards Gwazi again. “And you!” she spoke up. “You… you… you’re being silent.” she noted. “So silent that I feel like I’m gonna have to tally mark my arms just to remember that you’re even there…” she droned on. “…Speaking of which, what did you say you were doing here, again?” she asked. After all, this guy didn’t look much like one of the tribe, now that she thought about it.
