Hello everyone! I'm back, and HOPEFULLY with a more successful RP idea. Please note this RP will be a little slow, but I will allow a little free range in characters for people to play with while I'm away!
Original Information
Okay, last night I had a sort of dream. I saw a child running through the woods, swinging on branches, and generally playing around. There were future-flashes of said child 'practicing' more professionally on a home-made course, mainly consisting of iron-bars spread apart, and gradually increasing in difficulty. The child would continue to play in the forest and eventually run into a tree, and simply hug it (Awww, tree hugger!) The three would then slowly be moving it's arms, and hug the child back, then release it as the child begins to jump around the tree. The tree sort of smiled in it's own way (As it is an ent, but these ents don't move), and the child continued to play. More future-flashes came, showing the child training harder, and failing several times. As the child grew older, the child could reach farther bars with more intricate moves, and generally longer limbs. Eventually, as a full adult, was using fully-equipped items to move through the bars easily, and move onto other courses all in one easy fluid motion... including tossing knives at dummies and dodging exploding fire traps.
Soon, the child was calming down, and sat down on one of the branches. The tree it was playing with never talked, so the conversations were one sided. At one point, the three froze, and the child didn't understand why, until it was too late. Some unknown object hit the tree's limb, and made the child fall, but the child was careful enough to land (As the child wasn't too high off the ground) safely. The child crawled for a little bit until they could stand up and see what was attacking... it was a Zweihänder (Which is a giant German sword, usually so big it's practically useless Mr_pink has corrected me. They're actually useful for breaking pole-formations!) with a shadow of darkness! The shadow almost took the form of a human as it controlled the sword, but the child believed it was seeing things. It didn't matter to the child at that point anyway. The child rolled out of the way of another attack, and then sprinted away from the attacker. The sword was much faster, and easily broke in front of the child. The child darted, and changed directions many times, but never got away.
Eventually the child was knocked down again, and was forced up against a tree as they thought of nothing else to do. The sword aimed in a slow-motion-over-dramatic-fashion, and then... was hit! Some long black rope with a blade on the end swept past, then came back around and latched onto the blade. It yanked on it quickly enough to pull the sword away from hitting the child by just a few inches. The child quickly fled, but only enough to be safe. The child watched from easily ten feet or so, as the sword fought the rope, and eventually broke free. It was no longer worried about a little child anymore. The rope had snapped, and just as quickly two more came at it and attempted to entangle it, but were both destroyed instantly. A mysterious figure leaped out of the shadows of the trees, and brought on the sword's full attention. They were unarmed, except for a few daggers, and several ropes strapped to their back. The sword leaped for the person, who easily dodged the attack, and sort of held the sword down on the ground without touching it... magic. The sword broke free by trying to hit the person's legs, but missed as the person leaped for the nearby trees. The person continued to dodge onto all the nearby branches, until it was sure it had distracted the sword enough, and then proceeded to send more ropes onto the sword, each one being attached to the current tree the person was on. It was soon trapped, and then the person jumped to the ground and reached out their hands, flipping their robe off of their face in the process, and smiling down at the child. The out-stretched hands controlled the sword into a position, then slammed it into the ground! The ground around it started to glow, with lights showing, then it started to harden into a tough rock. The sword fought and fought, but was eventually frozen in place, and didn't move again as the final blow froze it in it's tomb. (Think of the sword of King Arthur. Yeah, kind of stationed in the ground like that.)
The newcomer then took the child, after convincing the child it could no longer go back. The person the child had run into was part of a secret group of protectors, and no one is allowed to know about them. The only solution is to either forget it happened, through magic, or to join the group and train.
Anyway, that's the basics as seen through my eyes of the dream. There will be a few changes and such, but that's the basics. The players will be a group of kids, ages 11-15 or so, and part of a school-group. They will wander through the woods, and encounter a similar instance... and be offered the same option.
There are multiple trainers, but everyone will run into the one mentioned in the dream. Eventually players will be allowed to move on with others (Or solo it and be bored) to venture out and find the others. I'll even (EVENTUALLY! Not right away!) let people RP as the other trainers, or as other Protectors of the Sword. I'll also have generic NPC character references in the group for other players to jump in and say said mentioned character was them... ETC. Or for new characters to jump in at the last second. I'll also allow moderators to take control of main NPCs, and throw out events once they have proven themselves moderator capable.

The Land
Welcome to Sicurezza (Name Pending. I really have no idea what to name the world)! The lands of Sicurezza are the most beautiful in the world, being lush with thick forests, bright green pastures, and ancient structures littering the landscape. The land is ruled by monarchy, the only other land owned in the world by monarchy, other than the mainland. These lands are the safest in all the world, which are usually considered to be riddled with monsters day and night. It is also the least magical out of all of them, but there are still hidden instances throughout the land.
Inside the inner core, a single castle sits on the northwestern coast of the continent, with plenty of farmland outside the castle walls. The palace sits near the water front, with it's own smaller walls to protect itself from commoners.
The outer core of the castle houses most residence, and the best supplies traded from around the world. The market places are settled in four key locations. The first being by the water front, set up twenty feet away from the palace walls. The marketplace by the waterfront blends with the docks for quick and easy trades between the various kingdoms throughout the world. The second marketplace sits in front of the palace, and sells the finest and most expensive merchandise. It is usually off limits to commoners, and requires admittance by the royals. The third marketplace sells mainly to travelers, as it sits near the southwest gate. There is a small center park with a small fountain and a few stands, but most merchants have full-sized buildings set up, and usually live on the upper floors. The fourth is a secretive market, hidden by the southeastern part of the wall. It is a single building, commonly hidden as a storehouse. It is also known as the Black Market.
The grounds around the castle, just outside the walls, are mostly farm-fields. A single road branches out to each farm house on either side of the road, and leads far out into the nearby forest. The road continues onward to the rest of the continent, splitting and reforming as they attach to smaller settlements.
The forest is usually ignored, except for travel by direct route of the roads. Lumberjacks don't even like close to the tree line, as they have stories of ancient evils lurking within the woods.
Other settlements throughout Sicurezza are smaller and unimportant. Few have the resources or land suitable for vast expansion, but hopes of soon expanding into expansive castles.
Plot
A group of kids going to school in the main castle on Sicurezza suddenly have the experience of a lifetime. During an average school day, they are take out of class by their teacher to go on a nature walk to a nearby study sight. As soon as the students reach the forest's edge... the teacher realizes he's forgotten something. He tells the students they know the way, and to go on without him while he runs back to get whatever it is he forgot. Meanwhile... the kids get lost... and experience something they will never forget... or might.
A secretive group of people known as the Protectors guard the land from dangerous enemies, keeping the land the safest in all the world. A specific group known as Protectors of the Sword are in charge of keeping track of deadly swords hidden throughout the lands. They use their taught magic, and specialized skill-sets, to trap these swords in tombs of stone. These swords are powerful, and can never truly be destroy or captured, so it is up to the Protectors of the Sword to find them once again once they break free of their prisons, and lock them in their place once more.
No one knows of these hidden people in the land of Sicurezza, other than themselves. Those travelers who run into them are mind-whipped to forget the incident ever happened to protect their secrecy. Only the best are chosen, or those young enough to be taught throughout their life.
All is well within the group of Protectors, except for the Protectors of the Sword. Recently, the swords have been becoming more powerful, and breaking free more often. They venture closer to the castle after each encounter. They also appear to be becoming more intelligent, as if guided by an evil lurking in the shadows.
It is up to the Protectors of the Sword, and their newly acquired trainees, to tame these swords, and figure out how to slow down their advance. How you proceed with your journey is up to you... just remember there is no future without you.

Aaron Eoforwine stands at four feet, five inches. His hair is kept short and featureless, with a jet-black color throughout all his hair. His face is surprisingly younger than usual, along with big light-hazel eyes, and a small frown across his face. His attitude is usually intrigued and understanding, but seriousness tends to overcrowd the other two features when in tough thought. Aaron has two sets of clothing: A noble outfit, which consists of a plain, electric indigo hat. An azure inner-shirt, with a cerulean vest over top, the vest wearing obvious markings of the noble. The pants blend into the shirt and vest with a cerulean-cobalt hue. The boots are big and heavy, work with the pants rolling into them. A cobalt-blue robe is also worn at times, though rarely. His second outfit is that of a commoner, consisting of a thick brown shirt, and a big heavy and fluffy vest, as well as plain pants, a belt, and fluffy boots. His also has a chamoisee satchel.

Aaron Eoforwine, son of Mimic Eoforwine, and Aodh Eoforwine. His father is one of the highest known nobles in the kingdom, being close friends with the king and queen themselves. His father grew up with the king and queen, and has received treatment as though they were related. Mimic Eoforwine prefers being called Eoforwine, and wishes everyone to call him by his title Despot. Eoforwine, that is to say, Aaron's father, is a very powerful man, only ever commanded by the king himself. With that power, Eoforwine has become a very unlikable person to those unknown to him. He is very intolerant of commoners, even to the point of punishing those Aaron would hang out with. Aodh is almost the same, being held high above most everyone, and holds herself to be the most important being on earth. If she had the chance, she would push the king off his throne and take it for herself... but that is only said in joking manners, of course.
Aaron himself hates the noble lifestyle. Particularly [i]his[/] noble lifestyle. He is often forced into boring writing classes, and told to perfect his writing for "Once you get older, you will need to impress your future wife! No woman would take a man with a handwriting such as a slob!" by his father, with 'slob' meaning commoner. He also hates the boring speeches he has to sit through his father give. Or the boring balls he must attend, but always stand by the wall and avoid talking to important people, and never play around with the other children. Horseback riding is the only thing he finds fun about being a noble, as everything else is taken for granted. He is allowed to ride his horse the way he wants, but not during classes. He is very thankful to have a nice teacher, being originally a commoner herself, and understanding how cruel nobles can usually be to children.
Any chance Aaron has outside of teachings, or riding his horse, he spends out in the rest of the town. His face isn't advertised like the princes are, so he is safe to wander the streets without recognition. He usually puts on his commoner's outfit (Bought at a merchant's stand) before sneaking out his window, or puts it on in the stables before sneaking out through a crack in the wall. He brings his noble clothing with him inside his satchel, as he thinks it might be useful to prove hims nobility in the case of emergency. Outside the palace, he spends his time with his friends he's met throughout the castle. He has only ever told his closest two friends his secret about being a noble, who usually don't even care about it anyway.
Aaron was eventually convinced by his friends to attend their school, under the cover he is a relative to his friends, visiting from the outer villages. He finds schooling fun, and easy. He tries to be quiet, but is usually picked to be asked questions, and get's most of them right. He finds schooling here a sort of game, as he already knows most of what is taught. He does find the nature walks interesting, and insightful.

Bio: Ellwood Riverside was born and raised by a family of commoners. His father, Everest Riverside, is a well-known carpenter, and has trained Ellwood in carpentry since very early in his life. He is a tough man, hard to the outside world, but loving to his family. Of course, this doesn’t mean he takes heed of Ellwood’s complaints every time he tries to teach him his trade, or stops forcing him to go with his tools everywhere.
For a long time, Ellwood’s father has worked for a minor noble, Morris Glint. Every time he went on a job, he took his son, with the intention of showing him his work, to teach him. Of course, Ellwood paid no attention to him. Instead, he played with the noble’s son, Wulfric Glint, a kid about his age, sallow-skinned and quite a coward. When he started going to school, Ellwood begged his father to send him there too, but to no avail. Still, Wulfric taught him how to read, and even managed to smuggle a few books from his father’s library and give them to him, after some appealing. This included a book on Carpentry, much to Ellwood’s dismay.
Ellwood never understood why everyone else was afraid of the woods. For him, they weren’t a place of darkness and fear, but of magic and wonder. He spends most of his free time in them, exploring them, climbing trees and discovering ancient ruins. Sure, he had a couple of scary experiences, but they weren’t enough to deter him. Often, he would invite Wulfric to play with him in the woods, but his invitations were always answered with a fearful negative. This is why, when his friend told him he’d be going on a trip to the forest with the school, Ellwood decided to sneak into the group.

Josive is an orphan. He has never had a home beyond that of the orphanage outside the castle walls. Josive grew up with many other orphans moving in, and out, of the orphanage. Most of which were older than he, and were kicked out. Sometimes priests from a church would come and adopt those few well behaved, leaving the others and including Josive. Josive didn't ever try to bond with the other kids, as he didn't want to have to remember them after he had left. The only kids he ever had as friends were Bironica, and Leera.
Bironica and Leera were like family to him, especially with Leera being the mean older sister. They weren't orphans, but had come from the mainland and were accidentally left behind several months ago. It was only until hours later did the parents figure out what had happened, but the captain wasn't willing to turn around. The children are expecting their parents to return in the next few years, as their family doesn't have the kind of money to spend on magic transportation.
Josive just turned thirteen, the age when kids are kicked out of the orphanage to fend for themselves. Josive had been preparing for that day, selling all of his belongings, and saving his coins, so he could spend them on important things when he needs them. He plans on spending them on a room, and finding some job he could live off of away from the castle, but doesn't have the courage to leave yet. For now, he stays with his two friends in their abandoned house within the walls.
Josive wants to find his true family sometime in the future, hoping he could rebuild his relationship with them and prove some made-up points he comes up with over the years. He wants to learn why they abandoned him, but for some reason he doesn't hold it against them. He almost knows why they left him, he just can't put it into words.

It is not revealed who these trainers are until they are encountered, and it is warned everyone at the start are forced onto a single trainer, simply to keep everyone from thinning out and wandering away from each other. They are, however, allowed to venture off in search of the others.

During an average school day, they are take out of class by their teacher to go on a nature walk to a nearby study sight. As soon as the students reach the forest's edge... the teacher realizes he's forgotten something. He tells the students they know the way, and to go on without him while he runs back to get whatever it is he forgot. Meanwhile... the kids get lost... and experience something they will never forget... or might.
A secretive group of people known as the Protectors guard the land from dangerous enemies, keeping the land the safest in all the world. A specific group known as Protectors of the Sword are in charge of keeping track of deadly swords hidden throughout the lands. They use their taught magic, and specialized skill-sets, to trap these swords in tombs of stone. These swords are powerful, and can never truly be destroy or captured, so it is up to the Protectors of the Sword to find them once again once they break free of their prisons, and lock them in their place once more.
No one knows of these hidden people in the land of Sicurezza, other than themselves. Those travelers who run into them are mind-whipped to forget the incident ever happened to protect their secrecy. Only the best are chosen, or those young enough to be taught throughout their life.
All is well within the group of Protectors, except for the Protectors of the Sword. Recently, the swords have been becoming more powerful, and breaking free more often. They venture closer to the castle after each encounter. They also appear to be becoming more intelligent, as if guided by an evil lurking in the shadows.
It is up to the Protectors of the Sword, and their newly acquired trainees, to tame these swords, and figure out how to slow down their advance. How you proceed with your journey is up to you... just remember there is no future without you.
Rules
- No Power Gaming. That means if you get into a situation with another player, such as a battle, you are NOT allowed to control them, and make their character take a blow. It is up to the other person to be hit or not. This is not to be abused (Refer to Rule 2.) This is further included to NPCs. No controlling of NPCs without permission, unless you personally created them with permission (Other than obvious OK instances, such as a school friend.)
- No God Modding. This means if another character attacks you, you CAN'T just dodge it! Just because they can't make you be hit, you can't make yourself dodge so easily. If they obviously got the sneak on you, take the blow. Don't always 'hide in alert mode' all the time. And if a character is obviously more skillful than yourself, don't challenge them (Unless you're obviously 'fail' challenging them, and PLAN to lose')
- No Meta Gaming. If you know it, that doesn't mean your character knows it! If someone sneaks up on you, they sneak up on you! If someone called you something, or wants to kill you, you can NOT prepare yourself, or suddenly think "Oh! I think I want to sleep with my sword tonight. I just have this feeling...."
- Please think out your post with 'future/if cases'. This means during an interaction with a fight scene, or another character, post other options in case something doesn't go well. This sounds like it conflicts with Power Gaming, but please pay attention... If you sneak up on someone, and attack them, state you points well enough that they can be interpreted as many different ways. A good example would be "I was sneaking up on Suzy C. G., and slowly reached my hands over her shoulders. I was ready to quickly slam the onto her shoulders and scare her, then I would laugh at how foolish she would look!" is perfect! You can also d "I slowly sneak up on Suzy C. G., and slowly reach my hands for her shoulders..." then switch to future sense, "I was ready to quickly slam the onto her sh-..." ETC.
- Be respectful. No one likes the guy that argues with everyone about "Nuh uh! I'm obviously better than you! You should have taken that hit!"
- Moderators win. Deal with it.
- Keep the fourth wall out of this. That includes talking about ANYTHING not related to the RP when talking in character. It is medieval themed, and the land has very little technology. The other lands in the world have steam-punk type tech, but it is NOT common in any way in the current land. This also expands to character descriptions like "T-Shirt. Jeans. Manga Spike Orange Hair."
- Rules change! You will be warned about them in OOC if you are active enough to catch it, however. You will be warned if you didn't notice.
- PLEASE edit posts that break the rules!
- Mention how scared your character is of the forest in your bio. This is require to understand you read the rules/
- Give notice before leaving... even if it's at the exact moment you're leaving.
- If you do leave, please leave your character in a legitimate state to be either A: Forgotten about. B: Killed (Rarely). C: Transfered to another Player. or some state non disruptive to the RP.
- Characters are NOT ALLOWED to start out with weapons! Do not make your character fighter related. Do not give yourself a bio, specifically leading into a combat-type character.
- NO METAGAMING. Especially the Protectors. They're SECRET. Don't even hint at 'searching them down because they stole something from your house'. I wouldn't mind references to the old RP though... :3
- Keep the time line intact.
- Multiple characters ARE allowed! In fact, they're encouraged. Multiple characters ends up giving you things to do while you wait for others.

Aaron Eoforwine stands at four feet, five inches. His hair is kept short and featureless, with a jet-black color throughout all his hair. His face is surprisingly younger than usual, along with big light-hazel eyes, and a small frown across his face. His attitude is usually intrigued and understanding, but seriousness tends to overcrowd the other two features when in tough thought. Aaron has two sets of clothing: A noble outfit, which consists of a plain, electric indigo hat. An azure inner-shirt, with a cerulean vest over top, the vest wearing obvious markings of the noble. The pants blend into the shirt and vest with a cerulean-cobalt hue. The boots are big and heavy, work with the pants rolling into them. A cobalt-blue robe is also worn at times, though rarely. Bio:
Aaron Eoforwine, son of Mimic Eoforwine, and Aodh Eoforwine. His father is one of the highest known nobles in the kingdom, being close friends with the king and queen themselves. His father grew up with the king and queen, and has received treatment as though they were related. Mimic Eoforwine prefers being called Eoforwine, and wishes everyone to call him by his title Despot. Eoforwine, that is to say, Aaron's father, is a very powerful man, only ever commanded by the king himself. With that power, Eoforwine has become a very unlikable person to those unknown to him. He is very intolerant of commoners, even to the point of punishing those Aaron would hang out with. Aodh is almost the same, being held high above most everyone, and holds herself to be the most important being on earth. If she had the chance, she would push the king off his throne and take it for herself... but that is only said in joking manners, of course.
Aaron himself hates the noble lifestyle. Particularly [i]his[/] noble lifestyle. He is often forced into boring writing classes, and told to perfect his writing for "Once you get older, you will need to impress your future wife! No woman would take a man with a handwriting such as a slob!" by his father, with 'slob' meaning commoner. He also hates the boring speeches he has to sit through his father give. Or the boring balls he must attend, but always stand by the wall and avoid talking to important people, and never play around with the other children. Horseback riding is the only thing he finds fun about being a noble, as everything else is taken for granted. He is allowed to ride his horse the way he wants, but not during classes. He is very thankful to have a nice teacher, being originally a commoner herself, and understanding how cruel nobles can usually be to children.
Any chance Aaron has outside of teachings, or riding his horse, he spends out in the rest of the town. His face isn't advertised like the princes are, so he is safe to wander the streets without recognition. He usually puts on his commoner's outfit (Bought at a merchant's stand) before sneaking out his window, or puts it on in the stables before sneaking out through a crack in the wall. He brings his noble clothing with him inside his satchel, as he thinks it might be useful to prove hims nobility in the case of emergency. Outside the palace, he spends his time with his friends he's met throughout the castle. He has only ever told his closest two friends his secret about being a noble, who usually don't even care about it anyway.
Aaron was eventually convinced by his friends to attend their school, under the cover he is a relative to his friends, visiting from the outer villages. He finds schooling fun, and easy. He tries to be quiet, but is usually picked to be asked questions, and get's most of them right. He finds schooling here a sort of game, as he already knows most of what is taught. He does find the nature walks interesting, and insightful.

Looks: Ellwood Riverside is around 140 centimetres tall. His brown hair is quite long for a boy, reaching the base of his neck. His family, while a respected bloodline of craftsmen, isn’t very wealthy, and as such, he has one set of clothing, consisting of a thick black shirt, a pair of brown pants, very light boots, and very thick, black cloak, for cold days. Bio: Ellwood Riverside was born and raised by a family of commoners. His father, Everest Riverside, is a well-known carpenter, and has trained Ellwood in carpentry since very early in his life. He is a tough man, hard to the outside world, but loving to his family. Of course, this doesn’t mean he takes heed of Ellwood’s complaints every time he tries to teach him his trade, or stops forcing him to go with his tools everywhere.
For a long time, Ellwood’s father has worked for a minor noble, Morris Glint. Every time he went on a job, he took his son, with the intention of showing him his work, to teach him. Of course, Ellwood paid no attention to him. Instead, he played with the noble’s son, Wulfric Glint, a kid about his age, sallow-skinned and quite a coward. When he started going to school, Ellwood begged his father to send him there too, but to no avail. Still, Wulfric taught him how to read, and even managed to smuggle a few books from his father’s library and give them to him, after some appealing. This included a book on Carpentry, much to Ellwood’s dismay.
Ellwood never understood why everyone else was afraid of the woods. For him, they weren’t a place of darkness and fear, but of magic and wonder. He spends most of his free time in them, exploring them, climbing trees and discovering ancient ruins. Sure, he had a couple of scary experiences, but they weren’t enough to deter him. Often, he would invite Wulfric to play with him in the woods, but his invitations were always answered with a fearful negative. This is why, when his friend told him he’d be going on a trip to the forest with the school, Ellwood decided to sneak into the group.

Bio:
Josive is an orphan. He has never had a home beyond that of the orphanage outside the castle walls. Josive grew up with many other orphans moving in, and out, of the orphanage. Most of which were older than he, and were kicked out. Sometimes priests from a church would come and adopt those few well behaved, leaving the others and including Josive. Josive didn't ever try to bond with the other kids, as he didn't want to have to remember them after he had left. The only kids he ever had as friends were Bironica, and Leera.
Bironica and Leera were like family to him, especially with Leera being the mean older sister. They weren't orphans, but had come from the mainland and were accidentally left behind several months ago. It was only until hours later did the parents figure out what had happened, but the captain wasn't willing to turn around. The children are expecting their parents to return in the next few years, as their family doesn't have the kind of money to spend on magic transportation.
Josive just turned thirteen, the age when kids are kicked out of the orphanage to fend for themselves. Josive had been preparing for that day, selling all of his belongings, and saving his coins, so he could spend them on important things when he needs them. He plans on spending them on a room, and finding some job he could live off of away from the castle, but doesn't have the courage to leave yet. For now, he stays with his two friends in their abandoned house within the walls.
Josive wants to find his true family sometime in the future, hoping he could rebuild his relationship with them and prove some made-up points he comes up with over the years. He wants to learn why they abandoned him, but for some reason he doesn't hold it against them. He almost knows why they left him, he just can't put it into words.
Protectors of the Sword Trainers
There are multiple trainers that all have their own specialty, that being speed, strength, technology, magic, or other trainers created by players (Not yet, but in the future you will be allowed to play as trainers, just not now). It is not revealed who these trainers are until they are encountered, and it is warned everyone at the start are forced onto a single trainer, simply to keep everyone from thinning out and wandering away from each other. They are, however, allowed to venture off in search of the others.
