You walk towards the sound only to find your school police officer, Mr. Vitale, locked in combat with a horde of zombies. You grin, Today must be my lucky day...Although I do wonder why he's not using that gun of his. You glance back at your group and tell them to fall back for now, they obey and retreat to a safe spot, silently watching. You leap into the fray, weaponless. I can't have him knowing my true strength after all...It is awfully suspicious for a student to bring an actual weapon to school. Breaking their necks should be good enough. Since once the spinal cord is severed, the brain has no way to send signals to the rest of the body--even if the zombie manages to survive the blow. You proceed to kill a majority of the zombies, about seven if you had to guess, while the police officer finishes the rest with a combination of stabbing with a knife and whacking them with a baton. You act like you're exhausted, seemingly out of breath and ask, "Mr. Vitale, are you okay?"
"Yeah. I'm fine, thanks to you. What's your name?"
"Derek Strasser. And it wasn't much help, you probably could have handled it easily, considering you have a gun and all," you say cordially, holding out a hand to shake.
Mr. Vitale shakes your hand, "Nice to meet you, Derek. No, I couldn't use a gun since the noise only draws more of those wretched zombies around here."
"Well, I'm glad I could be of help. Do you know what the situation is like outside?" you ask innocently.
"I know that they have a quarantine set up, but," he leans closer and whispers, "It'll be a while before we receive any sort of help. I'd rather you keep this a secret, otherwise there might be mass panic. But you should wait it out in a classroom where you're safe."
You nod, "I understand, Mr. Vitale, I'll just do that."
He gives you a strained smile, Most likely exhausted and stressed by this whole situation...
"Mr. Vitale! Behind you!" you feign shock, pointing your finger at nothing while reaching for your knife with your right hand.
The instant he turns his head, you leap towards him and stab him in the back of the neck. He dies and you stand over the corpse triumphantly, grinning like a maniac, "Nice knowing you Mr. Vitale, while it lasted that is."
Out of the corner of your eye, you notice that two of your followers have started fleeing, one going up the ninth grade stairwell while the other runs down the hallway.
"You know guys, if you would just listen to me, nothing like this would have to happen," you deftly pick up Mr. Vitale's gun, disengage the safety, and shoot the one running up the stairs through the side of her head. Then you aim at the back of the second's head and fire. Both bodies crumple to the ground and you motion the remaining followers to come over. You start looting the corpse, taking the kevlar vest and police duty belt with a tazer, can of mace, flashlight, handcuffs, first aid pouch, radio, baton holder, and magazine pouch. You then pick up the fallen weapons, the knife and baton, and put them in their respective spots on the belt. Putting the vest and duty belt on, you smile sadistically, Can't wait to try out some of these on people...but first. You notice a horde gathering, as a reaction to the two gunshots. You hand Nicholas a knife and say, "Prove to me your loyalty. And that you can fight. The rest of you get to somewhere safe nearby. I'm pretty sure you all know what happens to those that try to escape from me, however."
Their faces pale, they stammer out a verbal agreement and hide somewhere close by, trying to make themselves less noticeable. Your eyes light up at the thrill of a battle, "It's really fun killing things, you know."
"I'll keep that in mind," Nicholas replies, warding off a zombie with awkward motions.
If he proves himself, I could teach him later on how to use that knife more effectively. Maybe.
You pull out your dagger and start a zombie slaughterfest.

No more zombies stand before you. You look around, noting the crass amount of bodies piled up. Nicholas is panting heavily beside you, sustaining minor scratches and injuries from the fight. Hmm. That was fairly impressive of him, managing to avoid severe injury. I wonder if those scratches will turn him into a zombie or something. That'd be a sight to see. Although it would be a shame since he has some use. For now.
You meticulously strip the other dead bodies of any valuables or useful supplies, "You guys, come over here to carry this stuff. We're going back to the classroom."
You twirl the officer's car keys with one finger,This first expedition has been a very successful one indeed.

You decide that the prop room might have some useful stuff in it.
You drop off your current loot in the booth and make your way to the prop room.
Locked, as usual, this is gonna take a while
You start picking the lock to the prop room
Hopefully I'll be able to link up with the others before long, or I'm not gonna live though this crap
You get the door open and enter the prop room and start to make you way though, looking for anything that might be helpful for surviving, and find a plastic chest plate.
Better than nothing
You put on the chest plate and find a bow with training arrows near by.
Bow might be useful, arrows not so much but at least I have something to hit with at range.
You use the quiver that is new by and load the arrows in and take the bow with you back to the booth and sort out what you have to work with
Food and water are going to be a major priority for the foreseeable future
You start to relax when you realize where you are
Wait....I have freaking roof access from here, might as well see what is happening outside and try to figure out what can be done to get mobile and get resources from the surrounding area.
You make you way back to the prop room door and get to work picking the lock on the door to the roof.

You arrive at the classroom with a wide smile on your face, "Happy to see me back?"
The rest of the class cringes.
"What a pity. And I even brought gifts," you say jeeringly, presenting the additional food and water with a flourish of your hand as your group members set it down on your desk.
"U-um where did you find them, sir?" a student hesitatingly asks.
Sir? That's quite interesting.
"On some zombified students. Although," you add sinisterly, "I did kill some live people for it."
The students gasp in horror.
Another idiot reaches for a bottle of water, and you instantly whip out your weapon and stab his hand. He screams.
"Who said you could touch any of the supplies without my permission?" you ask menacingly.
He gasps, clutching his injured, bloody hand, "N-no one, sir!"
"In any case, I did say that only those who follow me would be rewarded," you set aside a portion of the food and water and beckon your group over, "Each person takes their equal share from this pile. You can choose to do whatever you want with it--even give it to one of these miserable beggars, but I suggest you save it for yourself."
One of the girls chirps, "Yes, because only those that contribute should receive sustenance. We need to be in our top form for us to get through this together."
Good good. The mentality is sinking in. "And what is your name?"
"Samantha Croxen, sir," she replies curtly.
You take one of the knives you found on the corpses and hand it to Samantha, "Use this well then."
Those zombies we killed were probably kids in culinary science. Not surprising for some of them to wander over to ninth grade down after hearing gunshots. A futile effort by those that didn't know how to use the tools they were given.
Samantha gratefully accepts, bowing, "Thank you, sir."

Just then, the announcement blares, "This is Irene [REDACTED]. Will Matthew [DATA EXPUNGED], Travis [REDACTED], Alicia [REDACTED], Phillip [REDACTED], Sam White, Adam [DATA EXPUNGED], Benjamin [REDACTED], and Kate come to the media center?"

It seems like there is another student group organizing things. Tempting to take out who seems to be their leader, this Irene person that is. But I need to establish a stronger base of power here. This area has been relatively untouched by others though, so they probably restrain themselves to the upper floor. Which makes sense, considering their "base" is the media center and essential places, such as the cafeteria, are predominantly located upstairs. It would be unwise to start a conflict with them now, especially since I don't know how long they've been preparing themselves. All I know is that they have nine people in that group of theirs.
Your thoughts are interrupted as two girls meekly approach you and ask pleadingly, "Can we join you? We'd do anything--anything at all! We're so hungry and thirsty!"
You stare at them for several moments before grinning sadistically and slide another plundered knife towards the two of them, "Then use this and kill that boy who tried to steal some water."
The boy shrieks with fear while one of the girls protest, "B-but killing another person is wrong!"
Your voice drops to a threatening whisper, "You girls did say you'd do anything after all. Was I wrong about that?"
"N-no, sir!" the second girl hastily amends.
"Then hurry it up. I have no time for dawdlers," you retort.
They give horrified glances to each other and the second picks up the knife. They start towards the boy, who now is shaking in a corner, staring fearfully back.
Stupid. You're an easy target if you stay in a corner like that.
"Oh yes, and I forgot to mention that whoever deals the killing blow will receive a bigger portion than the other," you add, smirking.
You notice their eyes harden with determination. The weaponless one whispers urgently to the other and they appear to reach a consensus. The first girl lunges at the boy, knocking him over and pinning him down. The boy screams as the second crouches over him and stabs him in the neck several times, only falling silent as his body goes limp.
They appear to work surprising well together.
"Congratulations on your first kill," you nod in the direction of the knife-wielding girl, "What are your names?"
"Ariel Knox. This is my fraternal twin, Lauren Knox, sir," she replies.
"So Ariel, you can keep that knife and take that bigger portion over there," you gesture to a pile, "And Lauren can take the other one. You may both join Nicholas and Samantha, however."
Four people.
"Yes, sir," they respond simultaneously.
You take the last knife from the pile, "And Lauren, you can have this as well."
Lauren looks shakily and the knife and takes it, "Th-thank you, sir."
Lauren seems more hesitant about this than Ariel. Although Lauren appears to have better planning than her. And we'll need to resupply ourselves with more weapons soon. We've run out of nice knives. And I doubt people could kill effectively with some of those swiss army knives we have now.
When Lauren joins her sister, Ariel, you notice Ariel giving Lauren part of her share.
Hmm... I wonder whether I should break up this cooperation they have. But this same synergy may be helpful later.
You yourself take a lunch break, eating leisurely while the rest of the class stares apprehensively at you.

Once you're done, you store the excess supplies in their appropriate cabinets and call for Nicholas, Samantha, and the Knox twins. They hurry over, eager to hear what you have to say.
"Alright. We'll be raiding the culinary science classroom. There should be ample kitchen utensils that we can use as tools there. I want Nicholas and Samantha to stay here to keep an eye on things. If anyone is insubordinate, you know what to do. The Knox twins will be coming with me to obtain more weapons."
Nicholas and Samantha nod. "We won't fail you, sir," Nicholas says confidently.
"Be sure that you don't," you turn to Ariel and Lauren, "Let's head out."

[Alicia and Ben]

Alicia unslung her spear as she peeked outside the window. “No zombies yet...ready to go?”

“No, not at all” Ben responds as he puts on his backpack “Where are we going?”

“Didn’t you hear the announcement? Everyone to the media center.” Alicia unlocked the door. “We’re going to have to be quick if we don’t want to meet up with any more zombies.”

“Yeah… okay.” Ben checks the room for anything that he might need later on, then grabs his weapon, ready to go. “You first.”

She slung the door open as quickly she could and got into a defensive stance. Glancing around, she didn’t sense anything amiss and started going down the hallway towards the front lobby.

Ben slips out the door close behind Alicia and locks it once he was through. Still might want to consider staying here instead of the media in the future. If there is a future. He followed down the hallway after looking if the way to the ninth grade hallway was clear. Just to reinforce Alicia’s actions.

The pair gradually makes their way past the front entrance and cafeteria to the media center doors, luckily avoiding any students or zombies. Unsurprisingly, the number of bodies strewn about the area had increased greatly since Ben last passed by.

Ben rolls on the ground. Intense. Flakes of dry blood cling to him and fall as he moves.

Alicia watched Ben roll on the bloody ground. "What the heck are you doing?"

“What does it look like I’m doing?” *Silent Thunder face*

"Don't you think doing that would increase your chance of infection?"

“Maybe? I dunno. But it’s not like I’ll get infected by just getting blood on my skin.”

"Your pores though. Whatever. Let's see why Irene called us here."

“Got it.” Ben rolls to the media center doors.

You enter the media center and greet Alicia and Ben, then tell them of the materials you brought to MST up, as well as show off your new spear.

This isn't worth the effort, I need to get back to the media center, not keep hiding from what needs to be done
You stop picking the lock and make your way back to the booth and collect your supplies and start back toward the stairs down to the stage and out into the theater hall.
Art hall might be safer to go though if something is going down at the from of the school
You walk toward the Art hall somewhat cautiously.

You let out an exasperated sigh as Matt leaves the media center. How are going to get everyone in the media center at the same time if people keep leaving?you think, rolling your eyes. You notice Phillip enter with Sam, slightly distressed with taking care of him. You let a small grin form on your face at the sight. And then Ben rolls into the media center, covered in dried flakes of blood with Alicia following him. You shake your head, amused. I wonder if we should just start with who we have now. I guess I'll wait some more though. You sit down with your back against the shelves and closes your eyes, drifting into a half-asleep state.
((Note, this is before Matt gets back))
[Derek]

You slaughter several zombies along the way to get to MST to encounter a large horde of zombies milling about. "So, what do you think we should do?" you ask the twins.
I already have a solution in mind, but this is a chance to see how they operate.
"Jumping into a horde like that would be suicide. So we should catch the attention of a few zombies and eliminate them like that," Ariel responds.
Not ruthless enough. Yet.
"Or," you propose, "We could simply have a decoy distract them."
"But who would be a decoy?" queries Lauren.
"Watch and see," you comment, strolling over to a classroom, unlocking it, and grabbing the nearest student. You tell that class that it is of the utmost importance to borrow the kid right now. The class replies with feeble, apathetic answers.
The boy you are holding shrieks, "What are you doing with me?!"
"Hush," you say, placing a hand over his mouth to prevent him from making too much noise. But it's too late, the zombies have noticed you and start shuffling at an alarming pace.
"Now look what you've done," you say in a bored tone, "Oh well. It's not like this wasn't going to happen."
You pin him to the ground and cut through one of his calf muscles. Then you pick him up and shove him in the direction of the zombies. He starts screaming and tries to run up towards the back stairwell, the horde closing in on him fast.
"Quick," you say to the Knox twins, "Follow me."
They nod, faces paling, and chase after you as you run towards the culinary science room.

In the room, you start searching for the keys to the knife cabinet. You rifle through the teacher's desk and drawers and finally find what you're looking for. You start unlocking all the cabinets and tell the twins to go search them. Walking over to the knife closet, you begin shoving all the cleavers, chef's knives, bread knives, and other assorted knives you can find into your backpack. You also pick up three cheese graters, two can openers, and a handful of corkscrews.
Ariel questions, "What are the cheese graters for?"
You reply, smiling gleefully, "You'll see. And have you guys finished scouring the area for weapons?"
Lauren replies, "Yes. And I thought a metal pan might be of some use as a weapon."
You glance down at the pan in her hand and shrug, you don't care too much what your subordinates used as long as they weren't too powerful.
"How are we going to get back?" Ariel prompts, noticing the number of zombies outside returning slowly to the amount they were before.
"I can deal with those numbers," you reply confidently.
But a series of distant gunshots ring through the air before you attempt to exit. Who else would have a gun aside from Vitale? Police? No, considering Mr. Vitale said there wasn't going to be any support from the government anytime soon. Which means...adults. Parents with children in this school most likely. The gunshots will draw the zombies away from this area at least. Although I wanted to kill more. Oh well. There will be plenty of opportunities.
"Let's use this opportunity to get back," you say to the twins and exit the room.

You peer out into the Art Hall and feel your stomach grumble more fiercely that you would like it to
Going to have to head toward the snack bar near the Gym to try to recover some energy
You start to move down toward the Gym entrance to the school, keeping a watchful eye for any zombies coming your way.
No sign of a breach on this side of the school, that is some good news at least
You make it to the snack bar door and get to work on picking the lock.
I hope every one else is holding up with all of this crap
You get the door open and start to sort though the food now available.
Water is a priority right now, food won't stay down other wise
You crack open a bottle and start to quench your day old thirst for some good old water.
You feel your innards start to relax and start downing some granola bars you find.
Lets get some food to take back to the Media Center so that we have a long term store set up
You start to pack some food and water into a bag you find under the counter.

You finish packing up the food and water and scan the hall way for any movement
I really have to get back to the media center before I'm missed
You cautiously start to move back toward the Freshman wing of the building when you hear movement behind you.
You spin around and see a few zombies moving towards you.
"I was wondering when I would run into you lot again" You say somewhat sarcastically
You quickly decapitate the three zombies and continue into the freshman wing.
I guess I should've just pushed my way through those freshmen the other day, could've avoided the mess with Adam and the breakdown
You cross in front of the stairwell when 3 freshman come charging at you.
Oh for **** sake
You dodge the charging freshman and turn around to face them. One comes at you and throws a punch.
You block it easily as you start to remember your martial arts training and quickly counter with a blow to the freshman's elbow, breaking it.
The freshman yields.
"Do I have to take this further, or can you guys just let me move on?"
The freshman move back and you start to continue towards the humanities wing when one of the freshman charges again.
They never learn
You spin around and lift your foot up and let the freshman run into it.
He falls to the ground with the breath knocked out of him.
You glance at the freshman that is left, "May I go about my business, or do I have to waste more time over nothing."
The freshman turns and runs down the stairs to the bottom floor of the school.
I bet he runs right into the main part of the horde down there.
You enter the Humanities wing and move quickly into the Media Center.
Now, let's see what the plan is from here

[Derek] You return to your classroom with a large stash of weapons. "Report, Samantha?" "Everything has been relatively quiet. There have been a few objections though. We have them tied up and put in the corner over there," Samantha replies expertly, pointing to the upper right corner where three students laid, restrained. "Good, good. I shall deal with them later," you say approvingly. You pick up a can of soda and toss it over to her. Samantha catches it and nods appreciatively. _She has decent reflexes. It might be time to train these guys up soon. But first..._ You store the newly acquired equipment into the cabinets but hold onto a cheese grater. Afterwards, you saunter over to one of the tied up students and roughly drag one of them into a connecting office. _Let's see how well this works.._ You put the kid on the table and tape him to it, preventing him from squirming too much. Grabbing the cheese grater, you run it over the boy's arm. It shreds the skin and blood begins pooling down onto the table. The boy lets out a scream and writhes in pain. You repeat the process over the same patch of arm, eliciting another scream from the boy while he redoubles his effort into twisting free from his binds. You laugh maniacally, "Don't worry, we're _far_ from over. This is just the beginning." You scrape up the student's entire right forearm until it is an unrecognizable bloody, mangled mess. _It wouldn't do for him to die from blood loss after all._ His shrieks of pain and terror were music to your ears though. Your ears pick up on a faraway scream, coming from MST. _I'll have to go investigate that._ "Nicholas, Lauren, you two are coming with me to do some reconnaissance. Do _not_ reveal your presence to anyone nearby. Keep behind me. Ariel, Samantha, make sure everything stays quiet until I come back," you order. _Leaving the twins alone together would be unwise. Since their loyalty is clearly to each other first, and then me._ You turn towards your group, "Let's go," and start stealthily making your way to MST.
