Bay stares up at the dark, haunted looking manor house, confliction crossing his mind. He glances down at the letter in his hand and looks at the thickset ring with the garnet inset on his finger. It even has his graduation year engraved into the sides. He shifts the backpack on his shoulder and slams the door to his truck shut. He begins to walk up to the manor, the letter that brought him here still burning in his mind.

Dear Bay Parsons,
You don’t know who I am, but I know who you are. I know a lot about you in fact. I know that you were born on the first of January and I know that you were born with a gift. Telepathy, right? That is a large gift to bear, but I see how well you carry it.
I am warning you now that you are not the only one coming to this house. You will meet eleven other powerful individuals, some of which you may know. I want you to control yourself and help them, as they will help you.
You may be wondering if I am crazy. I’m not. I figured out the pattern to the gemstones long ago. You were chosen for this, Bay. Before you were even born. You are here to… Well, you will learn that in due time, as you will learn my identity in due time. Please, go to the manor house address in this envelope and take the ring with your gemstone. Please. All will be revealed soon
R.K.

Bay looks back up at the house, but now he is directly in front of it. He knocks on the door, but as he knocks, the door slowly opens, revealing an empty, dirty hallway. He looks around and calls out a greeting. No one responds. He takes a deep breath and walks inside. He walks down the hallway slowly and looks left and right. Suddenly, he sees a note on a door. He walks over to it.

Go inside and wait for the others
Bay takes a deep breath and does what he is told.
Genevieve looks down the road to the large manor house. She looks back over her shoulder to see if any other cars are coming. There aren’t any. She begins a slow jog toward the house, her necklace bouncing against her chest. She enters the driveway within five minutes and immediately recognizes the truck in the driveway. She groans. Bay had left without a word to her a few days ago, and now he’s here?! What is going on? She had gotten a strange letter telling her to come here with a sapphire gem necklace in it, the same one she wears around her neck, but why didn’t it tell her that Bay was going to be here as well? She sighs and walks up to the front of the house slowly. She examines the truck closely. Yeah, that's Bay's car alright. She sighs again and walks up to the door of the house.

Well, might as well get this over with. she thinks and knocks on the front of the door. It opens slowly, without anyone helping it, and she peers inside. She walks down the hallway, making sure to shut the door behind her, and examines the doors. She gets to a door with a note on it. She reads the note and then walks inside. Inside, she sees Bay sitting on a couch. He looks up and his face goes pale when he sees her.

Well this is perfect she thinks and sits down, not saying a word to Bay.

Ash walked slowly down the road. A ways away, she could barely make out what appeared to be another person, jogging slowly down the road. Ash felt slightly uplifted, relieved that she had probably made it to the right place if other people were around. Ash continued slowly down the road, keeping her head slightly down as she walked. Eventually, the manor came into her sight, but she could not see the girl from before. No doubt, the girl had hurriedly made her way inside. Sitting in the lot in front of the manor was a truck. ~ Probably not the owner of the manor's vehicle. ~ Ash duly thought to herself as she approached the large doors of the manor. Ash glanced around, looking for another arrival, but saw no one, just yet. Ash huffed for a moment, and turned her sight back towards the door, before turning around and sitting down on the steps. Was this really what she wanted to do? She had came too far to do anything else. ~ I'll just wait until someone else comes to the door and walks in. ~ Ash thought as she awaited another arrival.

Roxy was impressed by the mansion. For anyone else the creepy factor would have sent them running pur not her. She'd grown up hard. There were of w things that scared her. This building had her curious though. Who did it belong to and what did they want from her were amung the questions she planned to ask. She parked her bike beside a truck. It looks like she wasn't the first to arrive. Which was fine with her. Atleast this way if the person who wrote the letter she received plan on killing them all she would be warned when she found the first body. She put her kickstand down and headed into the building.

With backpack in hand, nearly a hundred dollars lighter, and a smile on his face Matt left the taxi with a wave in its general direction as he folded out his walking cane with a snap. Whistling a happy tune Matt focused on his glasses until a picture of the world in front of him appeared. The mansion was a dreary thing, very unfriendly and not the place he would have picked himself but he digressed. However that didn't get his attention as much as the truck did, along with the parked bike and the girl sitting on the porch. Snapping back to reality Matt began making his way to the mansion, walking cane waving all the way.

In little to no time the the squish of soil was replaced by the crunch of gravel. Not long after that the cane met with the wood of the porch he felt his way around until he could sit comfortably on the steps. Taking a little sigh Matt says, "So...what keeps you from going inside?"

"Nothing. I just got here." Roxy answered honestly. Plus she wanted to get a feel for the place. She didn't think the girl was the owner of the truck which meant someone was inside. She wondered why the girl hadn't gone in but it was none of her business. She was her to discover there was a chance use her powers for more than hiding. She was tired of hiding who and what she was. Maybe whoever invited her here could give her the chance to come out of biding.

Ash glanced up, watching the two approaching people. The girl appeared fairly intimidating, causing Ash to sink down a little, attempting to make herself appear as small and unassuming as possible. As the young man got closer, he addressed the girl, wondering why she had yet to go inside the manor. As Ash opened her mouth, the other girl answered the man, cutting off Ash's answer. After the girl responded, Ash finally got her chance to reply, "I just wanted to wait for more people." Ash replied, timidly as she stood up, and prepared to go inside with the other two. Ash could feel a knot building in her chest as she prepared herself mentally to interact with others. She never liked having to learn, and meet, new people.

Roxy studied the mousy girl. The poor thing wouldn't last ten minutes on her world. Roxy felt sorry for her. She had a feeling there wouldn't be much in the way of rainbows and sunshine once they entered the mansion. She refused to be a prisoner again. She reached town to her boots and pulled out two throwing knives. She didn't what waited inside but she had a way to defend herself and escape if she needed to. "We'll lets find put what waits inside."

Bay heard the voices outside, but he didn't stand up to go check. He didn't want Genevieve to see that he was paranoid and scared. He wanted to still be that tough older brother character that she thought he was. He knew she hated him now because he just up and left everything behind. He had hoped that no one from his past life would be here, but as it turns out, he was wrong.
The voices outside keep getting louder, but Genevieve doesn't care. If it doesn't bother Bay, it doesn't bother her. She wanted him to know just how much he hurt her and how much she now hated him. She huffed and crossed her arms across her chest, staring him down. She couldn't believe that he was even here. If he would have told her where he was going, they probably could have come together and she wouldn't hate him so much. She sighs and waits for the others to come inside.

Kara pulls up the driveway, clunking and squeeling to a stop behind a pick up. She gathers her bag off the passenger seat and steps out, turning towards the old house. Reaching in her back pocket she pulls out a crumpled piece of paper and glances at the address. 'Well, this is the place.' She looks at the ring, which holds an aquamarine stone, then back at the house. A shiver runs down her spine and she cannot tell if it is excitement or fear behind it. The worn look of the house appeals to her curiosity but the anonymity of the letter causes her anxiety to spike. 'Deep breath, you've been through weirder things than this.'

As she approaches she makes out the end of a conversation. Before her are two girls and one boy, but none with a familiar face. They seemed to have not noticed her approaching. With three bounces she is up the steps and catches the door before it can close. 'Hey, wait up!'

Jason took the easy way out, his abilities made it easy for him to traces long distances, the boy simply stepped out of one of the shadows of the manor's porch and turned to look at the door. This place had a creepy air to it, like the whole area was possessed. Wonderful. Hopefully this isn't my father's presence that is producing this creepy air . These thoughts crossed the young boy's mind as he walked down the hallway and discovers others sitting inside. His glowing blue eyes search the room the, good there wasn't anybody he knew. The boy slunk to a corner and watched the others with those electric blue eyes.

Kara looks around the room as she enters. The others file in ahead of her and she notices another boy come in behind her. 7 people so far. Where are the rest? She can feel the tension between the two strangers on the couch so, naturally, she becomes inclined to break it. Her bag thuds against the floor and she finds a space next to the boy with dirty blonde hair. She leans forward and looks down the couch. 'Anyone know what's going on here?'

Ash shivered slightly as more people approached, as she could feel her social anxiety started to well up in her chest, as she had swallowed a 5 pound rock. Reluctantly, Ash filed in the rest of the people, them appearing much braver and more direct than her approach was to entering the manor. Ash eventually entered the room where everyone was apparently suppose to gather. Luckily, Ash instantly located a seat that was free, and not seated by anyone else in the room. Ash made a beeline for the empty chair, and sat down in it, bring her feet up onto the chair, and drawing her knees to her chest, as she quietly watching everyone else in the room, awaiting for some type of event or another to happen.

Roxy slowly entered the house. She held a knife in each hand. She walked cautiously carefully observing the people around her. She carefully keep her distance from everyone. She didn't want anyone within an arms reach of her. She had no interest in taking a seat. She wanted to be able to react quickly if she needed to. So she leaned against the wall by the door. She didn't bother hiding the fact that she was armed.

Bay looks around the room at all those who entered. It was curious that the person who collected all of them together choose so many different people to do it with. He glances over at the girl who just sat down next to him. He scans over each of the faces. The girl leaning against the wall seems very dangerous, considering she's holding a knife in her hand. He left his pistol in his truck, but he didn't think he needed it. Now, he wasn't so sure.
Genevieve swallows as all the others enters. Why are there so many people here? She figured it would be a few, but six?! What exactly was this person up to? She cleared her throat and said, "So.... this is awkward... Maybe we should go around and introduce ourselves and what gem we got in the mail?" She assumed most of these people had gotten something like the letter she got. "I'm Genevieve and I'm a sapphire."

After a moment of waiting to see if anyone else would speak up, Ash eventually cleared her throat before introducing herself, "I'm Ash Barton." Ash's voice was timid, and weak as she spoke, as if she felt like she was being attack merely by just speaking to the large crowd. Despite this, she did not stutter, nor did her voice crack from the nervousness she felt. "My gemstone is a diamond." She finished as she drew her knees even closer to her, and awaited somelse to introduce themselves next

"Roxy Black. I got an amethyst." Roxy stated calmly. She studied the two girls that introduced themselves. She was unimpressed. She dismissed them as a threat. She turned her attentions to the others. She didn't see anything that worried her. But she wasn't ready to dismiss them yet. She knew that you couldn't always tell what people were capable of. For now she would be prepared fir anything.

"Kara. I'm aquamarine." Her voice is smaller then normal and the serious tone seems unfamiliar. She holds up her hand showing the ring. Roxy seems a bit tense. Great, a stranger holding weapons. She straightens her back and glances towards the girl hugging her knees. Ash's body posture reads introvert and her timidness helps Kara's mind find some ease. She walks to a window, props herself up against the sill and studies the others while the sun warms her back.

Jason stepped out of the darkness that he had hidden himself in. His eyes glowed slightly as he looked over them again, not even bothering to hide that he was seeing who was a threat, or dangerous look that came with being half-demon. "Jason Diabolus. I got Emerald" He said, as the ring floated in front of him. He was using his telekinesis openly to broadcast a simple message... mostly directed at the girl who was armed, showing his confidence that none of them could harm him. The message that he sent was simply You aren't the only dangerous one . Then the boy retreated to his shadow

Ash eyed Roxy warily, watching carefully the knife in her hand, before turning to the next person that introduced themselves. Kara was next, a girl that looked nice, and friendly. Ash saw Kara steal a glance at her, causing Ash to put her head slightly in between her knees, hoping the girl wouldn't stare her down. Luckily, the girl didn't hold the glance long, as she walked to a window to relax there. The next person, seemed to simply step out of the shadows. As the man started to introduce himself, Ash felt very unsettled, and silently wished that the man would leave. Ash had never had another person make her feel as uncomfortable, or threatened as this man did. Ash trembled for a moment, as she heard a voice in her head, the same voice that Jason spoke with. Ash didn't like the man one bit, and she hadn't even gotten a chance to talk to him. She watched as the boy retreated back into the shadows, but Ash's gaze held on the spot where Jason reentered the shadows at, for a moment, before turning back to the group.

Roxy studied Jason curiously. She wondered if could do anything besides move through the shadow world. The shadow had been her world her whole life. Her ability allow her to bend them to her will. Curious she stepped into the shadow closest to her. She greeted the shaowcreatures that come with her. She would have to take time to get to know the shadowcreatures here. She could feel them responding to her power. But she want to investigate Jason and his connection to her world first. "I'll be back." she whispered softly. She continued silently moving through the shadow world until she was behind. Jason. Then she tapped him on the shoulder.
