^All of this^ (except XBL and PSN are having issues because of DDoS attacks I believe. The guild is just in dire need of maintenance and our mechanic is AWOL.)

I was throwing up all Christmas and the day after, and have been unable to tell you guys what is up because posting on the guild is practically impossible. If I don't have a post this morning, it's probably because it's written but the guild won't let me submit.

This may be a somewhat heretical thing to ask, but would you guys be totally against moving our posts to another site or format? I'd really rather not personally, but I'd also like to be able to RP. Not sure where I'd make the temporary move to, but I figured I'd ask your guys' opinions before I tried anything.

Today on "Things Zephyr Does on a Whim!":

- Updated CS thread with all side characters deemed relevant! Descriptions will remain comical unless there are any objections. (The Cassandra one is my favorite.)

- That is all, but bullets are pointless without multiple items! If we really need one then I suppose "Decided that the guild doesn't want to be posted on today!" works. I'm just done with it right now.

I'd rather not veer away from RPG, although the decline in reliability is rather annoying. I hear Iwaku is all the rage as of late, but I will not abandon ship until the water touches my toes. I say we call a vote on it.

I would also rather not leave. RPGuild is my heart and soul, and abandoning it now would be like shooting it in the face. The downtime really is only an annoyance, even if it is a big one, and it isn't completely stopping us.

I don't think the problem has been this bad for long enough to bother moving. It's not that I've anything against other sites, in fact I came here from the UESP forums. It's just that it would be a pain to transfer each player and post over.

If the problem persists for a good measure of time however...

I'm not really proposing we "bail". I'm pretty loyal to RPG, but I'd also rather not be completely hindered from RPing. The hours I am awake to post, the guild is down. I just want to gauge everyone's thoughts on the matter and possibly think of some kind of fallback we could use, not propose an exodus.

I suppose you're right, but I still don't think we absolutely need to use something else. Of course, we can't just spend all of the uptime we got arguing whether or not we should move temporarily. Who should be posting next? I mean, I could, but so far I really don't have much to do since nobody is nearby or close to my character at all. I could just keep on trekking towards my destination.

Well, just to weigh in... This RP is my first time using this site and since I have joined I have only been able to access it every other day or so... I have no loyalty to it.

GUYS! Mahz is going to recode, then opensource the guild! Our prayers have been answered!

Beo and I finished our joint post. Everyone's favorite side character, Dave, showed up again, being strange as he tends to be.

What his motivations are, we shall never know. Well, I know, and they'll probably be revealed eventually, but I like to sound mysterious.

On another note, I know you said that it might be better to keep Dave as a side character, Zephyr, but he's hanging around enough to almost warrant being a character of his own anyway. And even if I write a CS for him and make him a full-fledged character, Catherine would still be the main focus and I'd only switch to Dave when necessary.

Plus, it'd actually make it a bit easier to keep Dave off Catherine if I could do a bit from his perspective without Catherine needing to be there, if that makes sense, since I don't want the witty banter to wear out its welcome and all that. But it's up to you if I'm allowed to make a CS for him.

Aaaand, its the longest post in the world. Ever. No one will ever make one so large.

That post was just too much win. You guys are excellent with dialogue; something I usually struggle with.

Jum, you can do what you like with Dave. He is your character after all. If you'd rather not, you don't even have to submit a CS. The CSs are more like job apps/resumes for me. If you want to keep an air of mystery around him but continue to regularly post from his POV that's cool.

The same goes with everyone else with any additional characters. Just make sure you tell me if you plan to do anything unusual with them.

For the record, I'd rather Lost not be canon fodder. The ones farther from Hail Zones can be weaker, but I'd rather them not be Walking Dead zombie filler and actually be a legitimate threat. Eventually, I'll have a post with a gruesome description of Lost still linked to the stones. That last post was absolutely fine, but I just thought I'd make sure we don't wimpify them.

EDIT: Also, we're gonna say Sigma is the most lax of the SZs. The rest will basically strip search and psych-profile you before letting you in. Burdened are normally not allowed inside.

Hold on a second.... is RPGuild actually being stable? I've gotten on like so many times this evening and it hasn't been down. WHAT IS THIS SORCERY?

Also, we'll keep that stuff in mind. As for the dialogue, its mostly just 'cause me and Jum have known each other forever. FOREVER.

Me and Jum'll be probably having another joint post up today if he doesn't go 'wah, we just posted'. Where is everyone currently at? I was thinking of having us go back to Asylum, since I think that's where everyone else is. I think. You all might be on the moon for all I know.
