You don't belong here. That's the first thing people learn when they enter the world of Elisium. Everything here wants you dead. The animals. The fauna. The corrupt city-states. It's a blood fueled war, and you are placed into the center of it by the oddities of dimensional warps. You don't belong here, and not a damn soul wants you here.

Elisium was a planet. Beautiful, really, with luscious jungles, long spanning plains and filled with amazingly colored creatures you would only see in your dreams. On the surface, it seemed like the perfect place to be. But Elisium is not quite the 'paradise' it scouts itself to be.On Elisium, there sits four cities- Four states of power, led by rulers of varying ways.

The city deep within the jungle, Vescatur. Led by a vicious dictator, the people of this 'state' have grown to be savage warriors, who strike from the shadows and escape without a sound. The men of Vescatur are the only people who have been able to avoid deaths by the local fauna and predators- Their ways however, are unknown, a well guarded secret. Their city is hidden deep in the jungle, and although small in comparison to the other three states, it's military is easily the most well trained, dangerous of the group.

The city of the plains, Ferrum. Less of a city, more of a series of towns, this city is kept deep within thick foliage and wheats that grow naturally over the planes, where many predators loom. The people of Ferrum, however, have figured out a different solution to the problem of predators, creating massive mechanical machines and tanks to take them across the land. These massive multistory machines carry many men from town to town, where they are then sent deep under the mines to gather coal to fuel their death contraptions. Of the four nations, they are the most technically advanced, and although they seem powerful at a glance, their king and leader has never actually been seen- Hiding deep underground in a massive cave fortress- Which leads even their own people to lose moral and question if they even have a leader in the first place.

The city in the mountains, Domhan. This massive city sprawls over multiple mountains, connected by massive bridges of unknown origins. The people of Domhan are a proud people, priding honor and strength over petty or arts. They are constantly on the industrial road of conquest- Terrorizing the people of Vescatur in a bloody war that has spanned over 200 years. Even today, on the borders of Domhan can be found massive walls and bunkers, where they poor down wave after wave of artillery into the constant growing jungle before it, and the people that live in it. The king, a warrior himself, sits at the front lines, leading his troops with powers that even the bravest of men fear-- Though why he has not released his full potential is unknown.

And Eden, the holy city. In between all three cities lies large, grassy fields, where people live peaceful lives- This goes on for miles until you reach the massive walls of Eden. This holy city, built on a large hill, holds the key to all life in Elisium- The Life Orb. This ancient artifact is what causes the mines of Ferrum to stay strong- It causes the jungles of Vescatur to never die- And causes the mountains of Domhan to continue to host their livable conditions in certain areas. This life orb keeps them out of the violence- As the simple threat of destroying the orb could completely obliterate the realm- Which means they have no army to speak of... Simply a prophet who sits with the orb, keeping it safe from threats.

These four nations have had their conflicts over the years. Domhan and Vescatur constantly clash in massive battles, resulting in the loss of thousands of lives. In the past, Ferrum has invaded Vescatur as well, leaving a permanent patch of burnt jungle miles and miles long that even the orb of life could not regrow. But none of the four nations were prepared for the true threat that came to their world. Atop the temple of the orb of life, the prophet foretold an event of great cataclysm- The world would tear asunder, and the four nations would be cast into chaos as foreign invaders came to storm their lands. The nations were obviously sceptacle of the prophets words, and ignored them for the most part.

Unfortunately, the prophets words came true. A worryingly calm month- All of the nations had called ceasefires on one another, and soldiers finally had long deserved rests. But peace was not to last. Red lightning cracked from the skies, and wherever the lightning struck, strange figures were born. Figures not of this world- Of other worlds, universes, dimensions... People and creatures with magic and tools never seen in Elisium. They came in the thousands, and not soon after, the cities began finding themselves full of refugees from different worlds, with no explanation to follow. With dwindling resources and nationalists spreading amongst the lands against the foreigners, people began to push the blame on them- Despite them having no idea how they ended up there.

This was the beginning of the second great war. Political tensions grew in Ferrum, as people doubted the abilities of their leader, leaving the foreigners in their lands that sucked up food and water. The prophet of Eden began to realize that his city could not accommodate the sheer amount of people pouring into his city, and was forced to toss some of his own people, as well as the strangers, away, in fear of running out of food to feed his people. And of course, the border tensions between Vescatur and Domhan increased until they finally broke, using these new 'refugees' as conscripted soldiers in their bloody wars.

As the armies of Ferrum move towards Eden to solve their food crisis, disbelieving the prophet would actually destroy the orb, and the cities of the mountain and the jungle in a pitched war with one another, only a few of the strangers being delivered by the red lightning can come to save this world from its own destruction. Will the heroes rise up to create peace between the four nations? Will they try to live normal lives, oppressed by the native inhabitants who push the blame on then? Will they try to figure out how to stop the strange red lightning storm? Or will they simply fight for their lives in a world that hates them?

So stands you. Trapped in a world that will enslave you, leave you for dead, or simply use you as cannon fodder for their wars. Will you finally rise up to try and reclaim your rights for life, or will you abandon your hope of returning to your world in favor of your new home away from home? The choice is yours. But just remember, in this land- There is no gods to pray to. Only demons.

So yeah. This is basically a panfandom/OC RP based in a very complex world, which allows for multiple stories and plots, depending on the route the group wishes to take. It would be silly for everyone to follow any one route, so people and interactions will be broken into numbers above their posts. These numbers will name off the thread they are in, so others may keep track of things. Canon characters from ANY UNIVERSE are acceptable, although obviously those with super power levels (Goku, Superman) will be brought down to size unless a significant reason is given as to why they shouldn't be. It's up to you to nerf your characters- And if the nerfs are not good enough, I will knock you down a few notches instead.

The technology of the world is World war 2, minus the airplanes. Air travel was never invented in Elisium, and unless someone teaches them such a thing, they continue to use tanks, infantry, and artillery to fight their wars- As well as 'power conscripts', stronger warriors from other worlds that they have enslaved with collars to fight for them. Pick your poison- Be part of the problem, or part of the people. Be part of a city, or live within nature. Attempt to restore balance, or make it worse. It's all up to you.

So. What do you think? Suggestions? Ideas? Did I screw up somewhere? Are there inconsistencies in my world because I'm terrible at writing? I'm open to anything. Hoping to get at least 5-6 people for this, more will be able to join later. Rules will be put into the actual thread once it is up, but it shouldn't be anything too crazy. Thanks for reading~.

I'm interested. I'm a little worried about the concept here being too open and resulting in world-failure, though. I'm probably going to borrow a character from Discworld, but I'll hold off on specifics until I see what others have in mind. (Though I usually prefer original characters, a change is nice too.)
