Tʜᴇ Mᴀɪʀᴇ
"There's constant singing- not what you imagine though. Not the songs of bedtime but some contorted likeness that has no source and never ends. Never ends. Never ends never ends.." - a failed hero when asked about their home
Your journey begins here on the barren wasteland of the Maire. In the distance mired by a purple and toxic fog stands a castle, which is bleakly set against a forever night sky. The scorched hills brandish sparse thickets of blackened and decaying brambles, which stand alongside gnarled arthritic trees that seem to writhe with life to snatch at anyone who carelessly wanders too close. Singing can constantly be heard when traveling through the land- twisted nursery rhymes or bedtime songs, malicious and horrid stories- with no apparent source. Towns are speckled about the Maire and are vehemently overcrowded with people visibly oppressed and living in a dark age of fear and death. The land is plagued by a culmination of the worst fears of those inhabiting the surface- they are often embodied as monsters that lurk about in search of dreamers to attack. The heroes must not only watch out for these terrors but also for pits that open up in the ground without warning- they are often filled with snakes or spiders or some other horrors. Caves are obvious homes for beasts. There is a forest that, if stepped into, the heroes will never be seen again- and should be avoided at all costs. The sounds of clockwork are thanks not only to a large culmination of winged alarm clocks that flap about overhead but the forever visible Clocktower. The most magnificent of these structures is the Hourglass- which acts as a balance between the worlds and is the cause of the ever changing landscape- which sits in the sky in the place of the sun.
Tʜᴇ Hᴏᴜʀ Gʟᴀss
The landscape is ever changing thanks to a giant hourglass in the sky, which turns uncontrollably and at random on its own. It once kept the balance between the land of Nightmare and Dreams- however now its thrown the world into chaos. The sandman, the keeper of the hourglass, fails to see what is wrong with it. He blames the war, however, for throwing it out of balance. As a result the barrier between the lands that prohibit inhabitants from crossing either side has grown weak or even broken in some places.
Mɪʀʀᴏʀ Pᴀss
The pass of mirrors is simply a road flanked by tall floating mirrors. It stands just before the castle and acts as a way to ward off any unwanted monsters or visitors alike. If a traveler were to look into one of the mirrors they would be yanked in by their own reflection and killed. Avoid the mirrors at all costs.
Tʜᴇ Wᴏᴏᴅ ᴏғ Oʀɪɢɪɴ
A forest darker than any pit or cave in the Maire thanks to the ancient huddle of trees that makes it up. The forest has some sort of power that draws all of those who are close to it to wander in. Once someone has stepped into the forest they are never seen again. Very little is known of what lurks there. Most monsters have been seen crawling out of its depths, however, hence why the locals call it "Wood of Origin".
Tʜᴇ Cᴀsᴛʟᴇ
The center of power of the realm of nightmares and home to its royal inhabitants. It is an almost impenetrable fortress of dark stone with brass battlements. The landscape may change on a whim but the Castle remains the same. Prowling about the grounds around the fortress are the castles pets- giant komodo dragons- that are fed prisoners by the royalty as a pass time. The castle houses the infamous Royal Court of Terrors and the royal families of its members. The castle is forever in an uproar of merriment, play, and parties- as the royalty quite often and easily become bored.
Tʜᴇ Cʟᴏᴄᴋᴛᴏᴡᴇʀ
Even if the heroes happen to be underground they will at least feel the Clocktower chime. The tower is as old as the castle itself and is run by just one man. The tall structure, however, has begun to sink on one side and has begun to tilt. Many now refer to it as the Crooked Tower.
Tʜᴇ Fɪᴇʟᴅ ᴏғ Dᴀʏᴅʀᴇᴀᴍs
"I stand out there often- just listening. Hearing sounds that I took for granted while I was still awake- the sound of the front door opening when dad comes home after a long day at work, her hairdryer as she gets ready for school the next day... Rain.. Her laugh..."- A young wanderer.
Somewhere between the two kingdoms lies a field of flowers. Each flower belongs to someone out on the Surface and reflects what they see as they daydream. This place is a neutral zone, untouched by the chaos of the warring realms.

King Satin and Queen Raina were people formerly of the Surface. Not bothering to leave, they took up residence in the Maire and over time began to rule it. Just because they rule the “world of nightmares” does not mean they are evil. They are pretty neutral people. The two of them make sure that everything is running smoothly in the Maire.
Satin seems a bit cooky given he’s been in the realm for so long, and has an unusual obsession for fabrics. He is a child-like king nonetheless, and has teenager-like mannerisms and phrases after seeing so many dreams with such slang, so don’t be surprised if he says “Wassup” to you casually. He’s tall and muscular, dark black hair, and has green eyes. His wardrobe consists of weird wrappings of different fabrics.
Raina, on the other hand, is the epitome of queen and regality. She’s very logical, intelligent, but can be lazy. Though she looks and acts like a queen she often shirks her responsibilites. Her voice is oddly high and she giggles a lot when breaking her queenly seriousness. Her love of food has made her quite large, and she has light blue eyes and has dyed her hair a silvery gray. She wears typical fashion of the Maire Nobility.

If I may, I really have to question a weight of 50 lbs. I don't think 5'10 and 50lbs is even physically possible for anyone who hasn't gone weeks and weeks without eating. Was it a typo?

Co-GM reporting in! Sorry about not introducing myself or anything like that earlier, guys- but I've been checking in on the progress through my phone. I can't wait to get to know all of your lovely characters~
Name/A/G: Savrina Casablanca/ 22 / female
Appearance: (Cassie Ventura) She's Filipino.
Personality: Sav may be considered the motherly figure in the group- its just in her nature to fret over her friends and comfort them when she is needed. Ironic since she fails to take care of herself most of the time. She prefers an emotional approach to things- she trusts her gut instinct over thought. Confidence and security describe her well, as she relies on keeping a level-head and cool-exterior. Overall she is very warm toward others and considerate over their needs more than her own. On the Surface she was prone to keeping a controlled front; smiles shielded tears and "I'm fine"s warded off pity. Now, however, in the world of horrors she slowly begins to deteriorate into someone else entirely.
Flame color: Anirvas the Gray flame. Turns into an electric guitar that manipulates sound waves into attacks. The flame, although genderless, still manages to have a sassy tone when they speak to Sav. She refers to them as "he" where Anirvas often retorts "but what if I'm not?".
