### Hey all! Temporarily Closed; plenty of replies from an active community ^_^ Hello, RPGuild's 1x1 players! It's been a while since I visited the site last, but it does seem to still be populated by a number of the same folk, and certainly the same sorts. I have made some good friends and had some good RPs from the 1x1 section especially, and now seems a time to get back into the swing of things, and indeed post my first 1x1 Interest Check. So, on to the meat of this: I'm looking for a long-ish-term RP with a person who's chill. The genre is not especially restrictive; I'm down with scifi, fantasy, or realism, as well as drama, comedy, and Ze Romance. Fandoms are entirely welcome, and I'll list some, but original plots are totally coo' and welcome. We can work out the latter, if anyone happens to read to the end of this. :P So, before fandoms and such, let's go over what to expect from me, and what I'd like out of a partner. - I'm 22 (good fuck, that's dismaying) and a straight male, and that's what I gravitate towards playing as a primary, but I'm down with some fem; especially as NPC. - Accordingly, I'd prefer any 1x1 romance to be with lady PCs, but hey: it's well known there's plenty of other gender dynamics that prompt feely-feels. - I do want a player for romance to be above 18. Doesn't mean we're gonna get into the gritty details of fucking; I just want to ensure some tiny measure of maturity, for my own sake. Apologies to all those below that line. - I'm a native English speaker, and pretty decent with the language. Prospective partners needn't be native English speakers, but we've gotta be able to understand each other, right? ^_^ - Following the last point is quality and quantity. I value the former, and I'm not gonna ask for anything in particular regarding the latter, aside from that ever-stated piece of common sense: no one-liners. Because seriously. - As far as frequency goes, I'll say you'd wanna be prepared for a response a day or every other day minimum, and I'd like to see a similar minimum, but I understand shit comes up. The one thing I'd *really* like in this sphere is for you to let me know if you're busy for a few days, or if you're losing interest. - Finally, let's be cool. It's entirely possible I'll blab/complain about my life in the physical plane, but I can also not, if you'd prefer. Similarly, I don't mind if you wanna talk about your equivalent. I'd like to find a friend, beyond just an RP partner. --- H'ooooookay; that was longer than I'd planned it to be. On to the less tense bit, to list fandoms and plot ideas! The former will be **bolded**, the latter *italicized*. --- - **Harry Potter** The big fandom. I'm down with whatever era/setting, and many plots, including time travel, school years, and adult wizarding/witching issues. I'd prefer OCs, with canon characters as NPCs. - **Naruto** I've barely had any play in this fandom, and there's a decent amount I find silly about it, but I do find a lot of it really fascinating. Throw plots at me. Wars? Espionage? Bodyguards? Students? It's got it all. We can throw around canon or OC as desired. - **Doctor Who** Know beforehand that I have some seriously mixed feels on the Whoniverse. I like it enough that I want it to be much better than it is, and simultaneously am disappointed it isn't what I feel it has a responsibility to be. For this one, OCs, aside from original regenerations of canon Time Lords-- who would I guess be semi-OCs? - **Pokemon** There's really not a lot for me to say 'no' to in this fandom, aside from Ash. Adventure? Government versus sport of the League system? Geopolitics, terrorism, the supernatural, and scifi/fantasy ecology? This is a long-standing fandom for me. - **Fallout** Another fandom I can't complain about. There's a ravaged continent we can explore, and we can invent the factions and landmarks of a given setting as we go. - **Firefly** The Verse is a big place, and the galaxy this inestimable show takes place in is good fun. There's laws to break, deals to make, and survival to take. - *Trapped in an MMO (or similar)* There's a number of stories to this effect, especially well-displayed in anime and manga. We can work out details if you're interested. - *Historical Fiction* I admittedly have a special sentiment for the stories of US history, which is a bit odd, given the genocide and war that effectively comprises North America since Europe banished or employed people there. Still: it's quite rich, and broad. - *Zombehs* Not a lot to be said here. I like me some zombies, whether they be the various forms of L4D style, the slow or fast infected, or the legitimately undead. Anyone wanna chart the collapse and subsequent faint, ugly hope of humanity? - *Neighbors* They needn't be technically neighbors, but people who've known each other their whole lives. Are they friends? Do they loathe each other? Regardless of how they are familiar, some change in dynamic sets a plot off. Forced to work together? One of them sick? A relative gone? A crime committed? One splits a lottery for safety's sake? I'm open to all manner of ideas and variations on this, as it's pretty broad. As I've said, I'm open to all manner of other ideas you've got, assuming a 'you' pops up here, after all that written above. I'll be totally honest and dismiss them if I'm not feeling it. :P I can be contacted on this thread, through PM, or on my easy-to-find Skype, and I can play in any of those environs, or in a Google Doc. If the latter, we can work out logistics. Here's hoping anyone is interested.

Hello :D! I'd love to try out for a Pokemon RP. By any chance, do you have any ideas you wanna go for? If not, I would love to brainstorm with you, I've got a couple of plot ideas up my sleeve.

-pokes gingerly- I have to go to class in a few seconds (Which should tell you how much time I have to spend RPing. Yay, college.) but I wanted to go ahead and let you know I'd be all in for a "Neighbor" sort of RP. I tend to play either very... naive, innocent girls, or girls that tend to be hotheaded and defensive. As far as plot ideas, I'm up for brainstorming. Possibly a 'forced to work together' sort of thing. Like... they both went to the same high school but for whatever reason never got along. Something happened to them; once friends an event happened that caused them to drift (Or dramatically rip apart from one another. Probably some sort of misunderstanding). And they go off to college to become adults but, when they come back to town, they find that they both have come back about the same time. AND, to boot, they have both gotten a job as a teacher at their old (High School/Middle School/Elementary School). -scurries off to my PSYC class-
