> Pfft, the UN would probably manage to lose 2 galaxies instead of just the one, even though they only own one. That wouldn't make for a fun plot at all!!! I mean, a Hau occupation plot would be incredibly hilarious but ultimately not very fun at all.

Apollo I do not see how you were expecting a Pacific Theater Styled War. The enemy you are facing outnumbers you 10 to 1 in space, as better technology, and ground advantage is nullified when the enemy can safely bomb you from orbit.

I dont see how you think you have a tech advantage.............. Im done preaching about this topic after this, but ive been stressing that everyone in the RP has --EQUAL-- tech unless stated otherwise. I really dont know where you got this idea that you had the better tech then everyone. and against an entrenched enemy, bombing from orbit would do next to nothing. Example: The american navy suffered one of its worst defeats in the sea around Guadalcanal and retreated. This allowed the Japanese navy to bomb the living crap out of the island for days, yet the Marine corps came out on top. Having the ability to bomb your enemy does not guarantee success * hops off soapbox and shuts up*

I really dont know where you got this idea that you had the better tech then everyone. I do not have better tech then everyone, in some fields I am beaten by others(For example Sazkarjhia and the Lorca Ghaj being warriors nations have vastly better weapons tech then me). I do not know where the hell you got this idea from that everyone has equal tech, or how you think your word is law, as the tone and wording of your post seems to imply. Its hard to even determine equal since one could be far ahead in one particular field, but extremely far behind in another. > and against an entrenched enemy, bombing from orbit would do next to nothing. Example: The american navy suffered one of its worst defeats in the sea around Guadalcanal and retreated. This allowed the Japanese navy to bomb the living crap out of the island for days, yet the Marine corps came out on top. Having the ability to bomb your enemy does not guarantee success Comparing Space Warfare to any form of ground warfare is a stupid idea. Because when you can send rods of the heaviest materials at super-sonic speeds and nuclear weapons or antimatter down upon your enemy without fear of retaliation, then bombing is a huge advantage.

Duck's right. Valkians are babies in the field of energetic shielding, in fighters and bombers, and in small capital ships. But they have very powerful particle cannons, a superweapon that can only be used on one or two ships at a time, max, and missiles that I suspect you may say will just bounce off an Iscandarian's shields with no problem at all. The Valkians have more industrial power than any other nation, best I can see, because of how they utilized their system. Everyone else has spread out, and focused more on expansion than on development on what's already there. When another nation has two dozen colonies in five systems, the Valkians will have fully developed every single planet, moon, and the bigger asteroids in theirs, as well as a couple colonies in each of the surrounding systems. While you can produce more resources, the Valkians will be able to take all that crap that they've had little use for- there aren't any wars or high expansion- and just shove it into the manufacturer and turn out ships faster than anyone else. But did I? Well, I thought along the lines to be realistic- I can't arrive at Nouvelle, declare that I'll build new fleets to guard them, and a couple days later, *there they are!* No, it's not that we're not equal, except in some things like those shields, but rather, some things are being sped up and over-exaggerated. You built six fleets, SIX HUNDRED AND SIX SHIPS, with completely NEW technology, in the time it took me to design, test, and then begin producing SIX of said ships. At this point, in direct relation to your people, I should have MORE ships than you, because every ship the Valkians are building are easy, cruiser-sized ships with hundreds of drones stocked in them. They're not very strong, they're not all that powerful, but they can make walls, they can make a chainsaw of lasers, and they're easier to build than designing different classes and focusing on making these big ships. An Explorer could probably take on anyone's Dreadnought, and probably make it out alive, except for maybe yours, Duck, since yours have those supershields. But there are seven Explorers, and sixteen Iscandarian Dreadnoughts. Even if the Explorers could take on two Iscandarian Destroyers, they'd still lose. I think a good solution to that is that, by making them so powerful, it's both ways- as in you can't shoot through them either. Wouldn't that be spectacular? So, I have come to a solution! The Terrans and the Iscandarians sort of time-skipped- too much time has passed to gather so many ships, after producing so many ships, and then launch against one another. No, I think it'd be fair to say that everyone else noticed and built up their armies too- everyone else saw what was going on and built enough ships to be a threat to the Iscandarians, even pre-battle. I think that's fair, don't you all? Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses- Valkians especially. They have a tiny REAL fleet, and are just mass producing what are essentially scouts armed with a hundred RC controllers, connected to a small bot with a handgun on it.

Thanks Apollo. Also, those struh frigates are dedicated shield sappers. From what I've seen in the rp so far, the Struh frigates would be the bane of the Iscandarian shield systems. And having a strong shield themselves, they can defend against their enemies weapons! Hooray for counter tech eh? Edit #2: Above this post is about to be the inspiration between the characters in the central chambers in the IC. :)

Uh they only built another two fleets with the new technology, the rest are the old-styled ships. And it has been like 4 or 5 pages since the order was issued to enter full on production, and the industrial strength of the Eternal Union is pretty high.

And it's only been a bunch of pages since the Valkians have ordered production of cheaper, less expensive ships with easier-to-produce parts (Since it ain't gems and runes and crap) with way more production power! Really, the swarm will be amazing- the Hiveminds would be jealous.

Jump me in Andromeda, though I don't think you'll have much success. Draconian ground troops are fearsome opponents to anyone who isn't using elites or specializes in ground combat. Or you can just ban me in it- you GM that one. You DO have overpowered shields, duck, and despite saying there were weaknesses, I don't see any. Just "Too powerful to break in the near future" stuff, with different wording. That's my problem- no one can touch you. Make it both ways- can't fire through your own ships, but few people can get in without you letting them.

Ah of course, Wilsons constant pandering about the Draconians again. Going to be hard to get any drop-pods on the planet when they will just hit a shield.
