### Chapter 1 - Part 3: Tidings Edit: Added stuff for Eden, read next post first. As Alto walked, he heard some heated discussion. Mostly from Nuul, mainly from Nuul. He wasn't entirely sure what Nuul was saying though, because he was muttering all dark-like to himself. The other heated discussion he was hearing came from a small group just around the corner which Alto was peeking at. Two of them looked to be extremely hot-headed, and if Alto didn't know any better he would've assumed they were siblings perhaps. The third guy however... As Alto looked at the third guy more, he couldn't shake the feeling. The third guy didn't really look like it, and he didn't seem to act like it either. But to Alto at least, that third guy seemes to have an aura of 'pretentious'. He didn't look pretentious or sound pretentious at all, but Alto couldn't feel anything else from the guy. There was also another girl there, who seemed to be _majorly_ hot-headed. She seemed to speak very quickly, and he wasn't entirely sure what she was doing there. Then again, he wasn't sure what any of them were doing there, or why he was there either. Suddenly, he caught movement at the edge of his vision. Turning quickly, he saw... No one. But then he looked back and suddenly there was some random kid approaching the group? The kid was very young, and well dressed as far as he could tell. She looked to be wearing the school uniform of a private school. It was fairly expensive looking, and it looked to be immaculate. Both of her socks were at a perfectly equal height, her shoelaces were perfectly proportioned and tied, and the back of her blazer looked to be completely smooth and devoid of all wrinkles. As he watched, the girl walked into the middle of the four and turned to address the non-pretentious guy. **"I have a warning for you, child of light."** She said. It sounded like she was in some sort of trance, as if she wasn't really there. As she spoke, he felt her words were already in his mind somehow and he'd only now remembered them, as if someone was shining a torch into his head. _**"Keep your angels near, and enemies far, unless you can outshine them all by far. For the Darkness creeps, while your angel sleeps, and the ether will come billowing after."**_ Then, the girl turned to address the first female member of the four. **"Another for you, child of fire:"** She started, Her voice had changed suddenly, and somehow grew intense as if someone had lit a raging fire and npw he couldn't ignore it. _**"You have less enemies than you may know, but all will one day, colours show. Take comfort in this at least, you are not the one who knows the least."**_ After she finished her second cryptic statement, she turned to the third of the four. **"A warning for you, child of water."** She said, her words flowed like water in his mind. _**"If you have patience, then you need not seek, the secrets none were meant to keep. Above all, remember this: your destiny, you cannot miss."**_ Finally, she turned to the last of the four. **"The last for you, child of earth."** She said finally. _**"Legend or not, it matters little, continue as you are and you will be the most brittle. Victory comes at a price most steep, but would you prefer the inevitable sleep?"**_ Her warnings stuck in his mind now, refusing to move. Solid like the earth. With that, the girl turned on her heels and walked away from the four as she disappeared into the surrounding crowds. As Alto turned away from the four, he suddenly heard the girl's voice, barely a whisper in his ear. **"There is no warning for you, child of dark.**" She said, **"Take also the other warnings to heart."** He whipped around, trying to catch a glimpse of her again, but there was no one there.

For the first time since coming to the academy Eden noticed the dragons in the window above the stage. She suspected Taurrin was among the mix, the green one most likely. _The other dragons, the one's whose champions I must fight, I suppose?_ **Yes, I didn't think your, what's the word? Principle? I didn't think he would tell our tale. But what's done is done, I wouldn't think much of it.** The blonde from earlier came over to speak to the redhead sitting infront of her. Only to interrupted by a white haired know-it all. "It's a legend! So is the tale of Santa Claus and the boogeyman. Until I see a pedophile in a red suit in my living room on Christmas day I am reluctant to believe any story that is not backed up by fact. What are you people 5? It's not up for debate, it's a story. Nothing more. Eden, Eden Autumn Cross. Pleased to make your acquaintance. Please don't make me regret the decision" She cocked a small smile at the three teenagers infront of her. Taurrin's amusement settled on her mind like dew on grass.

"Haiden Gardeen, and I make no promises. As for what your saying about it just being a story, then I ask you, how did the story start. Why does it exist, who made it up, how long has it been around, does it have any truth to it, and so on and so forth. I could go on, but what I'm basically trying to say is that one should always keep an open mind and not be so quick to dismiss things just because you can't prove them." Haiden ended his little speech with a nod, before turning to the still unknown guy. "You see, that is how you enter a conversation with strangers, you walk in, say your opinion, then introduce yourself. You could learn a thing from Eden here." Haiden then turned back to Eden an amused loo, in his eyed. "And I blad I'm not the only one who thoughy a fat guy watching children and breaking into homes is a very creepy thing to celebrate. Now then, anyone going to take notice of the creepy girl that just said some freakin creepy criptic shit to us, then seemed to just vanish."

(Didn't see the post previous to mine) _Taurrin! What is the meaning of this! Are you playing some kind of twisted trick?_ **This was not my doing human. However I would not ignore her warnings. ** _This girl referred to me as child of the earth, it can be no co-incidence that you are an Earth dragon. _ **You heard the warning she gave to the child of water "If you have patience, then you need not seek."** _Are you agreeing with me that this is not a co-incidence?_ **I am saying watch your back, I only know as much as you do. Keep your eyes upon all these students, but keep your sword pointed at the ones in front of you.** Eden gripped the hockey bag and held it closer to her, her hands shook. _Screw you, Taurrin. _ "Did that make sense to any of you?" Eden struggled to hold herself together as she spoke to the other teenagers

----Michael---- Eden, Haiden and a short sighted redhed. Quite a collection of interesting opinions, well more like impulsive answers but at least they had responded. This Haiden person seemed a tad bit hostile, but he is right in a normal setting one does introduce yourself...But Michael wasn't trying to make friends merely look for an opinion on the situation and gather from a small group a reference for the overall feeling of this legend. Michael was wearing a smile, his hesitation was rather obvious as he lifted a brow and said his name. "I am Michael...A pleasure to interject into your conversation. I had thought this open for conversation as most of the auditorium is in a tizzy. If I sho-" The words of the cryptic girl fill his thoughts. While a voice in your head can be alarming to some, Michael acclimates to the situation rather well. His willpower fights against his urge to allow his smile to grow wider. "Eden was it?" Michael lowered his head slightly as if about to bow. "I will gather that it is a senior student simply making us out as targets for a prank, do not let this rattle your cage." Michael looks over at Sal, noting her indifference, then back to her younger friend. "Haiden, I hope I can make up for this rough first impression. To you as well miss, I had no intent of being rude." The words echoed in Michael's head. Nayru smooth feminine voice washed over his thoughts, "Why do I feel like you are already enjoying this?" Internally Michael had smiled at her, and laughed "You make it all sound sinister, I simply enjoy having a purpose again. In addition its all so eventful and unpredictable." Nayru's tone matched Michael's intrigue "You are one to ride the currents, but only so you can go faster....So curious." --- Sal (for once) stayed her tongue if only due to her desire to really gather info, perhaps some other will be more helpful than her anarchist drake. Rather she knew they would be. Haiden seemed a tad on edge, and seemed even more so when the strange girl came up talking trash! Well it wasn't really trash, but calling Sal a kid felt like a stab at her height. "I hate poetry...." Sal muttered before her brow betrays her growing irritation, nothing is more maddening than a pop quiz. Sal looked up at the three, "Haiden shutup." She then glared at Eden "I like Christmas, stop hatin'. As for cryptic BS I ain' about to waste time thinking about some Shakespeare orphan says." She flipped her hair and tried to act like Michael wasn't there.

Haiden nodded towards Michael, accepting his apology, at least for know. "It's okay man, and it's been an interesting experience talking to you." Haiden then turned to speak to Sal, who seemed a little tense. Oh wait, nope, she was just pissed off. Probably about what the girl said. taking a moment to consider the options, he decided to not poke the bear, opting instead to make a quick exit, at least temporarily. "As for you Sal, I think you need to take a chill pill and not let the girl get under your skin so much. I'm almost sure that she wasn't talking about your height, which is rather small for a 20 year old." The moment he said that, he did the only thing he could do, he booked it and ran outside, cursing himself in his head. 'Why can't I ever keep my thoughts to myself, like, ever.' **_Because you are an idiot, but lets put that aside for now and focus on the problem at hand. You know what I'm talking about_** It wasn't a question. _'It just a coincidence, that's it'_ **_You and I both know that you are del-_** '_SHUT THE FUCK UP!'_ Haiden screamed inside his head, tears forming in his eyes as he ran, he didn't know where he was running, just as far away from Sal as possible. _'Sal can't be one of the other champions okay, she can't be. She's like a sister to me na d your saying that I have to kill her.'_ **_If she turns out to be one, then yes, yes I do. I promise you that she will likely not show the same hesitation against you when the time for you to face other champions arises_** _Like hell I will and like hell she will, I'm not going to kill her._ **_That sentiment will lead to your death, fool_** _I'd rather die then harm her, she's like family, and that is the end of this discussion_ **_For now_** Haiden said nothing, just continuing to run in silence, cursing Luxius, the gods, his life, and his rotten luck.

Eden smiled at Michael, "yes it probably was a prank." Red seemed angry at Haiden for the joke so she left the angry girl alone _"probably scottish, or irish."_ She could feel Taurrin looking through her memories **"this is a strange world, your mind and thoughts are peculiar"** _"you're a dragon, dragons are peculiar"_ **"what's this word you have? Touche?"** "Michael, do you know where we can find out what classes we are in?" Eden stood and shouldered her bag, she was shorter than him, by alot. But she liked it that way. _"Tall, white hair, fancy talk. Mmmm."_ **"Humans"** Taurrin cursed.

Michael, Haiden had seemed to relax around him, perhaps this will all smooth out with time after all. However before he could get the conversation on point the red head seemed to get even more agitated. Perhaps she was just the type of person to grow hostile at anything she didn't agree with. _"People like that are generally problematic for their friends, best to avoid her."_He thought. Haiden suddenly excused himself, looking rather forlorn? Perhaps he was bi-polar. The redhead also stormed off in the opposite direction.....Thankfully a girl helped ease this awkward tension. **"Michael, do you know where we can find out what classes we are in?"** Eden, a rather strong willed girl,(Or at least her obvious self assured nature seemed to suggest) Michael internally thanked her before actually thinking about the answer to her question. "Ah, actually I do, if you have your phone I can show you from that or I could walk you to the main hall and we could look over a map. I have a printout of my classes but it seems my memory doesn't measure up." He took a step out of the row of seats and motioned for her to follow, knowing walking and talking made most people feel more comfortable. --- Sal stormed off, irritated by not just the situation but the cackling dragon that plagued her thoughts. Its no wonder people who hear voices are considered crazy, Sal had one for all of a few hours and she was already growing violent. As she wasn't paying attention she collided into some spikey shrimp! (So what if hes taller) "Watch out! I am walking here!" She glared at the kid her eyes stabbing proverbial daggers through him. Rather than wait to hear what he had to say she grabbed his shirt and pulled his face to his. "You got a problem!" She lets go of his shirt as suddenly as she grabbed it and backs off putting her hands on her hips. "Say ur' sorry!" While she claimed to want some sort of apology she had been hoping for the opposite so she could teach him otherwise. "Hurry up before I Drop you like your mom did!"

_This is going too fast for me..._ Alto thought as the 'child of fire' shook him up and down. When he'd been looking for that mysterious girl from his hiding spot, he'd turned back around only to see one of the four in front of him run off, presumably in tears; the other girl started flirting for whatever reason and suddenly he was off his feet with the first girl shaking him by the scruff of the neck saying some stuff which he could barely understand... And all he could think was since he came late he didn't know where his homeroom was, he needed to go get those dormitory forms, he was pretty sure he'd left his bag somewhere down the hall, and he forgotten to check the menu for the day as well... _Bleugh. I don't want to go to class right now..._ He noticed that the girl had finally stopped shaking him now, and they were attracting a crowd. Not exactly the attention he wanted. But, with the crowd came his solution. Teachers. If they did something bad enough, they were probably going to get sent to the principal's office. Still, there wasn't much he could do... He looked up around him, searching for a way to get into more trouble. Then he found it. _Windows..._ He thought. There were some full length floor to ceiling windows just next to them. And judging by the way the person holding him shook him around, she must have a decent amount of strength. _If she can throw me through the window, and break it, then we'll be in so much trouble they'll have to send us to the principal's office!_ He thought excitedly, _And he knows me well enough, he probably won't get angry at me._ He looked up at his assailant, and put on the most arrogant smile he could. **"Say, if you don't mind, can you throw me through that window please?"** He said, batting his eyelashes for extra effect.

Haiden was walking back to tne auditorium, having gotten his hatred of life out of his system, when he saw Sal holding some dude by his collar and looking like she was about to seriously injure and/or kill him. That wasn't good, not in the slightest. Quickly rushing over, he put his hands on Sal's, trying to push then down and away from the guy's shirt. "Look Sal, I don't know what this guy did to piss you off, but please just out him down, okay. Do you really want to have to go the principle's office on the first day of school? Just calm down or else I will dump a bucket of water over your head. Don't ask me where I got the bucket, as it is not important right now."

Alto looked up as a challenger approached. _Oh, it's the one that little girl called the child of light._ He seemed to be hoisting a bucket of some kind? Where had he gotten that from? From the way he talked, he and the girl holding him up right now were fairly close friends. _Well, doesn't matter much to me._ He thought. **"Well, I don't know about her but I most certainly do want to go to the principal's office."** Alto said. **"I've heard the view is nice from there."**
