Before Avatar Aang and his successor Korra, there were many more. Recorded history, however, has a trail that fades away whilst tracing back in time. Going backwards, before Avatars Roku, Kyoshi, Kuruk, Yangchen and the unnamed Magma Bender, the Avatar Spirit was within an Waterbending host. This is hundreds of years before Aang triggered the Avatar State that would freeze him in a glacier for Sokka and Katara to find. Hundreds of years before Korra was even conceived. This is a brief overview but more will be displayed in the OOC. I am looking for writers to play a Firebender, Earthbender, Airbender, Chi Blocker & Weapons Master. I am trying to get back into writing in a group and GM'ing, so if you are interested, it will be greatly appreciated. :3 So, anyone want to be apart of Team Avatar?

I loved avatar as much as anyone, and will join. I always had kind of a fanon explanation about why the magma bender would see fit to erupt four volcanoes at once. If some army was marching through in a war, or maybe the very start of a war, the magma bender would try to stop them. The general might say that even if he defeats a hundred, or a thousand men, it would be a mere drop in the bucket. So he demonstrates an incredible power to show he really can defeat an entire army by himself. Well, aside from my rambling, I'll join. Are there going to be limits to what we can get away with? Given some of the more rare abilities benders can possess. I'll take air, but they're all cool so I don't really mind which I go with.

Hmm, don't make your character overpowered, of course and I will allow secondary abilities except Bloodbending. :)

I'll try not to go too far. We don't all need Avatar levels of power. Being creative with limited powers can be more fun.

Yeah, I'll be playing the Avatar, of course to avoid the whole OP, Godmod ordeal. And yeah, more interest!! I haven't seen an Avatar roleplay on here in a long time.

It's a good series to do a roleplay for. I started an interest thread for pro bending, but it didn't go anywhere. No Avatar. No big plot that would change the world. Just bending in an arena for money and prizes.

I thougth this story took place before Aang was born. There was no Republic City before Aang, since he was one of the founders. Unless you mean a place like Republic City.
