I have been regrettably absent, but I will tryto get back into this. Sometimes become interested in something, and that interest is only temporary. Though I feel like a jerk if I join something like this then completely abandon it.
Of course. Aang wasn't exactly being heroic when he ran away from his destiny. I wouldn't want he Avatar to be a really bad guy that butchers baby cat-bunnies, but he doesn't need to burn with the desire to save the world either.
{Name} Jangbu. {Nickname} Nothing Official {Age} 25. {Gender} Male. {Sexuality} Asexual. His culture stresses separation from everything. You are allowed to fall in love, but must also be willing to let it all go. He doesn't have a preference, though he finds people who are obsessed with anything annoying. {Appearance} He's a thin bald man with a small beard who wears blue clothes with white trim. Most Airbenders wear orange and yellow, and that is exactly why he does not. He almost convinced his elders to make his Master Airbender Arrows different, but they wouldn't budge on it. {Primary Element} Air {Secondary Element} Spirit. He's very spiritual, and can freely communicate with spirits. He's also empathic, and can sense Human emotions as well. {Strengths} {What are their ultimate strengths?} When it comes to spiritual matters, he's one of the best. He's well traveled, friendly, and diplomatic. On the rare ocassions that he needs to, he's good at a fight, using his superior speed and maneuverability to disable opponents. He has a lot of energy. {Weaknesses} {What are their ultimate weaknesses?} He can be impatient, and unfocused unless he's really trying. He wants to be everywhere, and do everything, all at the same time. As friendly as he is, he can be annoying with his thoughts going every which way, and never wanting to stay in one place for long. He does not like being penned in, meaning he doesn't like being inside buildings or underground. Air Temples often have big rooms, large windows, and a lot of balconies, so they're fine, but houses of other cultures often have small rooms with tiny windows, crowded with furniture. {Personality} {At least one paragraph.} Somewhat of a cloud cuckoolander. He's friendly, polite, and generous. He has a lot of empathy, and can sense emotions, which often keeps people from taking advantage of his generous nature. Unless you're really good at hiding ulterior motives. He likes meeting people, but sometimes doesn't remember their names. He is capable of being very involved in something one day, and completely ignoring it another, due to his training. This leaves some people thinking he's bipolar or otherwise fake. This includes training, much to the annoyance of any student he has. As a master he's expected to train people, but he doesn't like being on a set schedule. {History} Jangbu was born in the Southern Air Temple, where he grew up living a peaceful life. He was taught to express himself freely, which sometimes caused trouble for the elders when he felt things were getting a little too peaceful. In his teens he traveled to the other Air Temples, and met people along the way. He trained in his bending art, eventually learning a new technique and getting his arrows. When they found out who the next Avatar was, he went to meet her, and play a bit, but after being covered in snow one too many times he took off again. Since he became a master just before Kasumi was set to begin her Avatar training, he was chosen to be her master. Whether or not this was the elder's attempts to get rid of him was unclear, since they believed even Airbenders needed some conformity.
Sorry Midori. I didn't notice you made a new thread. I was waiting for replies to the original one. Thanks for the PM.
Jangbu had arrived quickly to Kasumi's house, and waited with the others. He thought he'd get to say a few words when she came out, but she just said hi, totally didn't notice his new arrow tattoos, and went straight for the ship. She was obviously eager to get started on this adventure, which was good because trouble was brewing. History seemed to show that the Avatar would come in time for some world changing problem. Sometimes war, sometimes a problem between the Spirit World and the Physical World, or something else. Unfortunately the Avatar didn't always succeed in one lifetime at solving the problem, though he'd keep thta bit of information to himself if at all possible. He went back to the ship, and sat outside as he often did. Ship rooms were often confining. It was justifiable, since ship size had to be taken into account when deciding what sort of rooms you could have. Airbenders typically used Bison for travel, though he had come alone. So here he was, on a ship, much less bothered by the cold outside than the cramped quarters inside. He did have a room, with a window, and he had taken every piece of furniture out. All he had in there was a mat, and a bag of essentials, and he spent as little time inside as possible. He waited for everyone else to board, so they could set out. It would be good for them all to have a meeting and make plans, though Jangbu never planned too far ahead. Events could conspire to thwart long term plans, and he didn't like being confined to plans and schedules any more than he liked being confined in small rooms. Still, officially remeeting, and talking about what to do next should be done soon.
Cody gathered up his pokemon, and had them returned to their balls, before making his way to professor Rowan's lab. He figured the professor would want to check his pokedex for all the pokemon he had seen since he left Sinnoh, and if anything had happened recently concerning pokemon that Rowan could tell him. He went in and took a seat to wait for the others to get done.
I try not to get involved in other people's squabbles. I'm fine with you being back in.
Well, we lost someone and the GM flaked before the RP even got started. I'll stay and see if we can keep the ball going with Midori.
I'm kind of waiting to post last, so I have as much material as possible. Hopefully no one else had the same idea, and is waiting on me. :P
Yes, I'm sure everyone is aware that specialists are better at what they specialize than people who do the same things and extra. You can learn how to bend with a weapon or two in your hand. It's not like she has to spend an hour earth bending, and spend an hour weilding a hammer. Do both. I did make Jangbu a little older than Kasumi, and I'm not going to try to make him out to be a prodigy. Though maybe adding on another five years would make more sense.
