Name: Arthur Collins
Age: 47
Gender: Male
Race/Ethnicity: Equivalent of British
Burden: About 15%.
Faction: None at the moment.
Appearance: Arthur is of a medium build, standing around five feet and eight inches. His once short and well-groomed rich chestnust-colored hair has grown down to brush his ears slightly since he has been unable to regularly have it cut; also because of this, Arthur has grown a thin beard he does his best to keep trimmed. Behind his square-rimmed glasses, Arthur’s eyes are a deep forest green color. Arthur’s right leg was lost to him shortly after the Hailstones fell, and without the modern technology of the day, he was forced to use one of the older models of prosthetic legs, causing him to walk with a permanent limp and use a cane. Arthur also suffered of heart disease, but luckily this occurred before the Hailstones and he was able to get an advanced model of the prosthetic hearts. He does his best to look as professional as possible with the limited supplies after the Stones fell, but clothing is limited; Arthur wears his old, bloodstained labcoat over what dress clothes he has been able to find when he has patients.
Visual Aid
Personality: Arthur at first appears to be a quiet and reserved man, but if someone can coax him from his shell he becomes a talkative and friendly enough fellow. Though, Arthur is also known to think out loud at times, especially when he is seeing to patients. Unknown to others, Arthur is an excellent liar, making him a difficult person to gain information from or trust, if people knew of his lying prowess.
Synopsis: Arthur was a newly appointed Cardiologist before the Stones fell. He did most of his research and study into the artificial organs that were so helpful before the Fall; he realised how ironic his field of research was when he had to get an artificial heart after about two years of being an official doctor to survive the ordeal of genetic heart disease and continue working. Arthur became a rather successful doctor in his time despite his artificial heart, so when the Stones fell he was called upon to help the injured and dying. His duties never ceased even after the world went to hell.
He continued to treat whoever he came across that needed his help. He never stayed in one place for too long, feeling that he could help more people in the world by traveling. It was through his travels that he lost his leg. He was kidnapped by bandits on the road. Once they realised he was a doctor, though, they forced to be the ang’s physician. His morals were against healing such despicable people, but he had no choice as they had crippled him so he could not run after their discovery of his medical knowledge; they had severed his leg. Being the sole physician to the gang, Arthur was forced to acquire knowledge of surgery quickly to save the lives of gang members as well as his own. Eventually, Arthur managed to convince the bandit leader that he needed a new leg in order to navigate the medical room to help his subordinates. After the bandits managed to salvage the leg, Arthur somehow managed to attach it himself with the aid of the prisoner they forced into being his nurse.
With the help of his new leg, Arthur was finally able to escape the bandits holding him captive by using the entirety of what anesthesia supply they had to knock out the whole camp. After he escaped with ample medical supplies, Arthur went west, far away from the reaches of the bandits and continued to travel around Obit, healing anyone he could help, but recently Arthur has been looking for a more permanent situation to settle down and help people around a compound. He has yet to find a faction he believes in enough to join.
Strengths: Arthur’s medical knowledge is thorough and extensive, making him a valuable asset to have in a settlement. Arthur also has extensive Pharmaceutical knowledge, and can therefore make simple medicines with the right ingredients; a drawback to his knowledge is that he is usually a target for capture to help other factions.
Vices/Weaknesses: Arthur’s prosthetic leg prevents him from doing anything more than walking. Arthur has less experience in surgical knowledge than he does medical knowledge, making his surgeries unsuccessful at times.
Equipment: Arthur carries his pocket watch, a notepad with a pencil, a nonimplanted USD, and a medical kit complete with bandages, medicine, and operation tools.
