"Pleeeeease?"
"No."
"Aw, c'mon, just this once and then we'll never speak of it again."
"You disgust me."
"Alright, fine. What about you, girl?"
"Tch. Baka. As if I'd ever stoop that low."
"OH, COME ON!"
Standing outside were 3 odd-looking creatures. One was a cat demon girl with shoulder-length brown hair, blue cat-like eyes, black cat ears, paws, a tail, and purple demon wings wearing a medium-purple dress with fluffy trim. The second girl was a little older, with long dark brown hair, green eyes, dark brown cat ears and a tail. She wore what looked similar to a Japanese high school girl's uniform. The third creature there was not a girl. He was an almost 10-ft tall purple spirit, who looked similar to a cat in appearance, sort of. He seemed to be annoying the two girls in front of him greatly.
"WHY? I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME, SEPHIE!" The purple spirit creature sobbed.
"Kiroketsu, you're my guardian spirit, so I am sort of obligated to appreciate you in some way." The cat demon girl crossed her arms. "However, that doesn't mean that I'm going to give in and let you do whatever perverted things you want. I'll say this again: if you try to look up my dress one more time, I'M GOING TO CUT YOU INTO PIECES AND LET MEORA USE YOU AT SHOOTING PRACTICE."
"Hai." The older neko girl nodded with a grin, holding up her pistol. "Shinitagarin, Kiroketsu-kun? You seem eager for a beating today, more than usual."
"N-NO!" Kiroketsu cried out, leaping a foot away from the two arguably dangerous girls. "P-PLEASE! LAST TIME YOU HUNG ME FROM A TREE ALL WEEK! WITH MY OWN TAIL!"
"That wasn't us, though. That was Kayori." Sephie reminded him with a chuckle.
"Ne, Sephie-chan." Meora turned to Sephie. "When can we expect Ams and the others?"
"Hopefully soon enough. You I don't mind being alone in a strange new land with, but Kiroketsu..." Sephie trailed off, glancing back at her questionable guardian spirit. "I mean, just the fact that this is THE FIRST THING he tried to do a soon as we got here..."
"Can't blame a guy for tryin'..." Kiroketsu shrugged.
"Yes. Yes you can." Sephie snapped back with a glare.
After a few more moments, a fiery figure appeared up in the sky. Sephie, Meora, and Kiroketsu stayed where they were as the goddess landed. She was a grizzly bear-sized black house cat with shining silver spots, kind blue eyes, and shimmering wings of golden flame. Upon landing, she gave both of the girls a warm hug.
"Ah, hello! I've finally made it." The large cat purred happily. "I apologize for not making it sooner. I had a bit of business to take care of. Has anything bad happened yet?"
"HEY, don't I get a hug?!" Kiroketsu feigned a heartbroken look.
"No, no, everything's fine right now." Sephie assured Ammi as everyone proceeded to ignore Kiroketsu. "Though I haven't seen my brother or anyone else around yet..."
"The others will probably trickle in soon enough. There was...a bit of a situation in the Demon Highlands." Ammi explained.
"...What kind of situation? Are we needed?" Meora's ears perked up at this news.
"I'm hoping not...it seemed mostly taken care of by the time I left." Ammi sighed lightly.
