Current Drawing pictures of my characters and mulling over backstories has to be one of the best (and more common) ways to avoid doing homework for me~

Bio

Konnichiwa, tomodachi ;3 You may call me Sephie, as most people do. I am indeed female, and I have a few years experience of roleplaying. I'm an artist, aiming for a professional career somewhere in art, so all of my OC's are a little...imaginative XD let's just say that I gotta draw my own pictures for almost all of them. I like a lot of detail. I'm also a writer at heart, so if I really let loose, some of my replies in a roleplay can get pretty lengthy. I'm a complete fantasy roleplayer, but I like things on the creepy, slightly violent, action-packed, and dramatic side. With some humor added in there too, of course. I love anime and manga, and I am currently learning Japanese through odd methods of self-teaching (mostly anime and vocaloid songs ^w^"). I love cats, and you're gonna see that a lot in my characters. One of my favorite animes is Soul Eater, closely followed by Elfen Lied and Higurashi. I love playing Pokemon as well, and I'm pretty good at it too. I spend most of my days drawing, listening to music, watching stuff on youtube and playing video games (when I'm not smothered in homework, that is.)

Maxie had been ever so slowly trying to inch away from the group as they moved away, talking about the discussion of their weird predicament and getting food. She was listening, but her mind and body seemed like they were in two different places, neither coinciding with each other.
Marathon, the jolly police dog, followed her slow steps, ever unwilling to leave her side. He yipped a bit to try and get her to look at him, but her gaze was fixed to the ground.
She's snapped out of it by an abnormally acute sense of movement around her, and she knew that Taka was dashing towards her a few moments before he got to her, somehow. So spooked by the whole situation, Taka's sudden movements, and a sudden arm around her shoulders, her powers took over for a split second, and...she just hissed at him. Like a cat.
The moment following has Maxie return to her senses almost completely. She slapped her hands over her mouth and her face turned pink. She silently prayed that no one was really paying attention, but she knew it was probably too much to hope for. She already looked almost like a hobo, or some sort of crack addict, she was certain, due to her lack of a living situation. Even still, she lowered her hands and attempted to play off what just happened as if it never did, or wasn't completely insane.
"P-Partner? I...just met you, dude..." Maxie glanced at Taka. Or tried to. It was a known fact that making someone else look weird was a good way to make yourself not look weird. However, being around other people was still getting to her, so she quickly looked for something else to focus on. Luckily, and easy target was right next to her.
"Still tagging along, huh?" Maxie focused back on Marathon, still trotting beside her. "....Whatever. I hardly care anymore. Just...try not to get me in trouble with the police, alright? Please? My life sucks enough already. I'm sure you can tell."
Marathon stared blankly at her for a moment.
...Then went on panting happily, following her still.
Maxie chuckled a little. The dog did make her feel better, but...then she realized that she just had a full conversation with the dog again in front of a bunch of strangers who probably already think she's lost it. She silently cussed herself out, shutting up and following Taka.

Still here and writing a post now!
Persephone watches the construct fall with a surprising amount of dissatisfaction and disappointment. Putting her multicolored pen weapon back into her bottomless bag, she lets out an exaggerated sigh.
"What's wrong with you? Aren't you happy we beat it?" Ruitsume glances over at her.
"D-did I do something wrong, Persephone...? I'm sorry..." Kanashiko sniffles, her sword of tears melting away in her hands now that the threat seems to have been taken care of.
"Noooo, it's not you, Kana. It's this thing!" Persephone throws her arms up in the air while directing her friends to the fallen construct. "It was WAAAAY too easy to beat! That was so short! So boring!"
"IT STARTED LIGHTING THE BUILDING ON FIRE, WHAT THE HELL ELSE DO YOU WANT?!" Ruitsume shouted angrily back.
"Hmmm...I dunno. Maybe laser eyes? Telepathy? Ooh, or maybe shooting spikes that explode!" Persephone grins.
"THAT WAS A RHETORICAL QUESTION!" Ruitsume continues to rage. "What if the person who made this thing hears you?! You WANT to give them more ideas?!"
"If it make for a more exciting fight, I don't see why not." Sephie shrugs, still smiling away.
".......I...I give up on you." Ruitsume holds her head in her hands, taking a deep breath.
"That's okay! I know I can get your confidence back!" Persephone laughs.
"I...don't think anyone was really hurt by the monster...that's good..." Kanashiko timidly looks around at everyone else that had come to fight, not seeing anyone with any serious injuries.
"Of course not. Like I said, what we fought was not a huge threat." Persephone nods. "However, Rui brings up something important. This thing was probably sent or made or something by someone else. Pretty sure fiery construct monsters aren't native to this area. That means that this thing could very well end up being a prelude to something bigger, and more dangerous."
"Exactly. Which is why you shouldn't go around giving those people things to work off of!" Ruitsume growls.
"S-so...you think it's...not over, then? Someone else is here to do bad things?" Kanashiko looks even sadder now.
"Don't look so hopeless about this all!" Persephone puts a hand on Kanashiko's shoulder. "We can take on stuff like this, easy! Besides, we're not even alone! We obviously have all these other people too! Like those ones!"
With that, Persephone starts walking towards Inigo and Morgan. "You guys alright? You looked preeeetty cool out there!"
Ruitsume and Kanashiko follow behind Persephone, but Sarchesker stays where he is, eyeing the group of witches from a distance. He wonders what he should do next...until he notices the sky slowly begin to change color. That and, someone flying in the sky off to...somewhere.
Persephone seems to catch wind of Sarchesker's observations and suddenly looks up at the sky as well. "Hmm...I may just see a more exciting scene yet..."

"Terrifying children?! That's like, among our list of favorite things to do ever!" Amber's pupil-less eyes glitter with excitement, lighting up almost like yellow headlights.
"But where are we gonna go for the children to terrify? There aren't really many kids here at this hotel. I mean, I've maybe seen one? Maybe? That's not enough for me. That's not enough for ANY self-respecting shadow!" Clancy cries.
"HmmmmmMMMmmMMmm....well, we could always travel down into Shadowland, then use one of our established connection points to go somewhere else in a different world that has children." Amber suggests. "Orrrr, maybe Karl here knows somewhere we can go?"

"W-what?! What are you-" Maxie stopped short when her mind caught up and took in Taka's words. While she had been fighting the creature, and busy with this troubling police dog at her side, she'd totally forgotten about the strangers all around her. She felt her whole body stiffen. She stood to her feet, made an attempt to look at the other people, but found her gaze quickly and nervously shifting back down to the ground.
The chronic social anxiety was coming back now. Strong. Especially now that she realized how many times she must've looked incredibly dumb messing around with this dog, or pretty much just hurling stray animals at a giant demonic creature.
Maxie felt her feet taking some steps backwards. She could feel eyes on her. She didn't know if it was just her imagination, or all these other people were really staring at her, but she couldn't bring herself to look back up and find out. Instead, she just looked at the ground, Or at the police dog, who eyes her curiously. During this moment of awkwardness, she studied the dog's vest for once, and found a name tag on his collar. Printed in letters big enough for her to read without crouching was the name "Marathon".
@KatherinWinter
Thanks! I just made my post!
I'll try not to fall this behind again ^w^;
@ShadowVentus

"EXCUSE ME?!" Maxie couldn't help but get a little loud when she heard what Taka said, and saw him go for another shard. "You need more?! MORE of this?!"
She stopped herself and took a deep breath, shaking her head. She reminded herself that Taka might not feel the way she did about all this. Like the powers from the shards had made life more difficult than it normally was. After all, his abilities were somewhat more easily concealed than hers. Probably didn't bother him as much.
While she was lost in thought, the stolen police dog next to her started moving in the direction Taka had gone. Maxie looked over, brimming with hope that maybe the dog was going home...for just a split second, that is, because a second later, she saw the dog daintily clench a shard in his teeth, and come rushing back to her.
"GOOD GOD, NO!" Maxie recoiled with panic. She couldn't stop herself from running, but it didn't really take too long for the police dog, pretty much trained to chase after people, to catch up and tackle her. Maxie nearly landed on her face, getting flattened onto her stomach. The dog pawed at her hand until she gave up, opened it, and let the dog give her the shard. After that, he got off of her.
"Ugggh....it's...a little...slobbery..." Maxie sat up with a groan. She looked down at the shard and breathed a sigh of defeat. The police dog sat next to her, happily panting away.
@KatherinWinter
Sorry sorry sorry sorry! I hate it when I can't post for so long. It makes me feel like a jerk >w<;;; I'm getting on it right now. Is it too late to grab a shard?
And you said to pick a number, right? Any number? Is 8 alright?
@ShadowVentus @KatherinWinter

Maxie stared at the grotesque beast, cursing under her breath and giving it a hybrid look of confusion and disgust. Her expression quickly shifted to more or less scared crap-less when it started roaring and fighting with the others.
"W-what should we do-" Maxie was about to ask Taka before he just leaped into the fray himself with words of his own. She was almost a little pissed, but mostly because things had gone psycho wayyyy too fast for her liking. She was a normal 18 year old about a month ago. How in the hell did it come to all this?!
Despite her her thoughts about everything going on, she agreed with Taka. She should probably stand back and let the animals under her control (sort of) do the attacking. Maxie closed her eyes and willed ferocity and anger into all the animals she had around her, or in her vicinity. The animals already at her side leaped at the monster within seconds. That was good, but it wouldn't be enough.
"RRRUFF! RUFF!"
Maxie only had a a few precious moments to determine where the sudden ferocious barks and growls were coming from. She ducked, and less than a second later, a huge beast completely bounded over her and jumped into the fray. She stood up to look at it, and her heart caught in her throat when she saw a big, muscular German Shepard in a vest viciously harassing the demonic being.
"Ohhhhhh god...a police dog..." Maxie covered her face in her hands. "I just stole a police dog.....crap..."
--------------------------
When the battle finally ended, and the creature had fled, Maxie did what she could to get her animals under control again. A cat and some birds had died, but another cat walked calmly back to her side...along with the now very happy-looking police dog.
"Please. PLEASE, go home. I don't wanna get arrested for this." Maxie begged the dog, who in response, only barked and wagged his tail, sitting in front of her.
"No! Go hooooome!" Maxie whined in exasperation. She didn't want to touch the dog, because they might find her DNA on the dog later, and incriminate her further. Her only hope was to get it to go home on its own, or somehow find a way to control it back home. Though, controlling didn't feel like a good option right now. She already felt drained from all the power she used summoning and assisting her animals in the fight.
"Yo, Taka. You alright...?" Maxie glaced over at the one person within this group of other shard users (a fact she didn't have time to register earlier due to panic) that she actually knew, trying to ignore the big dog next to her.
XD You're good, bro! Relax!
