OtomostheCrazy The Impatient Patience of Fulfilled Nothingness

Being a bit underpowered without its creator, the construct was slightly sloppy with its offense. Even moreso with its defense. It didn't help that its opponents were skilled, powerful, and experienced in their own rights. One had been strong enough to crack one of its legs, and the others had conjured up powers and weapons that could counteract its heat and fire. The number of enemies alone had overwhelmed it. For every action, it had suffered a consequence not proportionate to what had given. Ignoring a lesser threat had allowed another to make it into a larger one. throwing a punch at a target had resulted in a beam of ice colliding with it, and cooling off the arm to steaming, useless piece that fell off the main body. Even when it had sent out its pillars and fireballs, without its creator's presence, they were predictable, and the enemies' easily picked up on its pattern. With so many direct hits, and damage, the construct fell. It's leg shattered, causing it to collapse. Then in a futile attempt to take anything with it, It flailed as it tried to do what it could not on its own, but instead of bursting into a grand explosion of fire, its movements slowed.

The body twitched, and twitched, and twitched...until it stopped. The moment it stopped, the body dissipated into nothingness. What was there was no longer there.

Girania awakened, sensing the presence of a notable new fool. She looked outside her window, and smiled as her construct fought against her potential subjects. She watched it fall, and felt immense happiness from it. The brain that belonged to the original little girl trembled. Watching as the Nightmare cried tears of joy at her own creation's defeat, it scared her. Then again, there wasn't really anything about that nightmare that didn't scare her. It did what it wanted, and anything that made it interested was more than enough reason to smile.

The sigil had returned to Girania, but she hadn't noticed. She was busy wiping the tears from her eyes, and looking for something else. The sky had darkened, and an obelisk had been erected. It was disgusting. It was a mockery to her. An insult! It wasn't a challenge, it was an entrance. An entrance so grand that only the undeserving would think to allow it for themselves. She would not have it. Girania would have an interaction with whoever had the gall to erect such an ugly sight...Or maybe she'd tear it down, and watch people die from it. Maybe both. It'd be fun. Like crushing bugs with her fingers.

Girania opened her window, and flapped her wings. She made her way to Obelisk, with a smile. She may have fun with this...

Persephone watches the construct fall with a surprising amount of dissatisfaction and disappointment. Putting her multicolored pen weapon back into her bottomless bag, she lets out an exaggerated sigh.
"What's wrong with you? Aren't you happy we beat it?" Ruitsume glances over at her.
"D-did I do something wrong, Persephone...? I'm sorry..." Kanashiko sniffles, her sword of tears melting away in her hands now that the threat seems to have been taken care of.
"Noooo, it's not you, Kana. It's this thing!" Persephone throws her arms up in the air while directing her friends to the fallen construct. "It was WAAAAY too easy to beat! That was so short! So boring!"
"IT STARTED LIGHTING THE BUILDING ON FIRE, WHAT THE HELL ELSE DO YOU WANT?!" Ruitsume shouted angrily back.
"Hmmm...I dunno. Maybe laser eyes? Telepathy? Ooh, or maybe shooting spikes that explode!" Persephone grins.
"THAT WAS A RHETORICAL QUESTION!" Ruitsume continues to rage. "What if the person who made this thing hears you?! You WANT to give them more ideas?!"
"If it make for a more exciting fight, I don't see why not." Sephie shrugs, still smiling away.
".......I...I give up on you." Ruitsume holds her head in her hands, taking a deep breath.
"That's okay! I know I can get your confidence back!" Persephone laughs.
"I...don't think anyone was really hurt by the monster...that's good..." Kanashiko timidly looks around at everyone else that had come to fight, not seeing anyone with any serious injuries.
"Of course not. Like I said, what we fought was not a huge threat." Persephone nods. "However, Rui brings up something important. This thing was probably sent or made or something by someone else. Pretty sure fiery construct monsters aren't native to this area. That means that this thing could very well end up being a prelude to something bigger, and more dangerous."
"Exactly. Which is why you shouldn't go around giving those people things to work off of!" Ruitsume growls.
"S-so...you think it's...not over, then? Someone else is here to do bad things?" Kanashiko looks even sadder now.
"Don't look so hopeless about this all!" Persephone puts a hand on Kanashiko's shoulder. "We can take on stuff like this, easy! Besides, we're not even alone! We obviously have all these other people too! Like those ones!"
With that, Persephone starts walking towards Inigo and Morgan. "You guys alright? You looked preeeetty cool out there!"
Ruitsume and Kanashiko follow behind Persephone, but Sarchesker stays where he is, eyeing the group of witches from a distance. He wonders what he should do next...until he notices the sky slowly begin to change color. That and, someone flying in the sky off to...somewhere.
Persephone seems to catch wind of Sarchesker's observations and suddenly looks up at the sky as well. "Hmm...I may just see a more exciting scene yet..."

"Terrifying children?! That's like, among our list of favorite things to do ever!" Amber's pupil-less eyes glitter with excitement, lighting up almost like yellow headlights.
"But where are we gonna go for the children to terrify? There aren't really many kids here at this hotel. I mean, I've maybe seen one? Maybe? That's not enough for me. That's not enough for ANY self-respecting shadow!" Clancy cries.
"HmmmmmMMMmmMMmm....well, we could always travel down into Shadowland, then use one of our established connection points to go somewhere else in a different world that has children." Amber suggests. "Orrrr, maybe Karl here knows somewhere we can go?"

Cold, freezing cold the feeling of numbness covers the body. "its my fault..." A man alone in his prison of ice where he ponders his life and what he is worth. "I should be the dead brother..." Tears form in his eyes swelling to the point of burst. "I.. wish i could... join him again.." Without warning the ice holding him starts boiling. "wha-" before he can finish his word the ice exploded outward revealing an open sky dark and depressing. This seemed to give color back to his once pale face, but more from shock then anything else. (He is here?!) His mind running wild bringing old scars back to light painful flashes of times of death and great loss. After a moment of his breakdown he gets up wiping tears off his face. "well the only thing left to do is to kill him for good..." After a moment of silence he starts walking down the mountain. "My last job."

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *SMASH!* A grey paw smashes down on the alarm clock, "Bloody, piece of trash. Can't get enough sleep." Sitting up,the fur on the top of his head a mess, Shawn stretched his arms out before rolling out of bed. He had fallen into the bed in most of his clothes. After taking a few moments to clean himself up, he walked out to the balcony attached to his room. The hotel doesn't have balconies that can been seen from the outside, this is because the hotel is bigger on the inside, Shawn's balcony face's out towards one of the hotels' inside forests. Lighting a smoke, Shawn breathes in the fresh forest air before smoking his cigarette. Finishing his cig, Shawn walks out of his room fully dressed and armed, He makes his way towards the front desk, stopping at Karl's janitors closet. Knocking on the door before opening Shawn looks toward Karl, "Yo, SK, check out room 327, I think they are smuggling in some stuff from their home." He then continues on, stopping at the front desk. "Hey, Z, got anything for me?." Zed closes his book and pulls out a notepad, "Well, there is one thing you can do, it involves that Cat Goddess, from Sephie's group.""Aight, whats the job?" "She has more details, I'm pretty sure she is at the lab of Sephie's brother.""Got it." Shawn then walks, through the front doors, pulling out a cig and lighting it as he heads towards the lab, which is like twenty feet from the hotel.

Karl just nods as Shawn gives him the tip on room 327, turning to Amber and Clancey,"Wanna help me deal out punishment?"

"It was WAAAAY too easy to beat! That was so short! So boring!"
With that, Persephone starts walking towards Inigo and Morgan. "You guys alright? You looked preeeetty cool out there!"

Before either of them can respond to Persephone, their father’s shadow begins to laugh, its eyes becoming an eerie yellow. “You want a challenge, don’t you….fine, I’d be more than happy to indulge you...Let the games..BEGIN!” The shadow builds in power before completely transforming into its true form, a dragon. However, since it only partakes in a fraction of Michael’s power, its appearance is affected, seeming more like an undead, rotting avatar being held together by shadow stitches rather than the fearsome dragon the original truly is. “Don’t let its looks fool you. That shadow is still a powerful force to be reckoned with…” Morgan warns Persephone, hoping she won’t become overconfident. “You’re rather lucky, milady. Father doesn’t challenge others very often. As for why that is...well, I suspect you’ll find out soon enough.” Inigo remarks. “We’ll support you as much as we can, but in the end, it’s between you and him.” He finishes, he and his sister preparing themselves before the shadow creates an impregnable barrier, separating the trio from the rest of the group.

“Hm?....Oh….ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.” Persephone watches Michael’s shadow transform, blinking slowly after he’s finished.
“Look what you did now!” Ruitsume cries.
“S-scaryyy…” Kanashiko shuffles behind Ruitsume.
“It’s a big spook!” Persephone grins.
“IT’S A LITTLE MORE THAN JUST ‘A BIG SPOOK’, PERSEPHONE, CHRIST!” Ruitsume is obviously, slowly being driven mad by Persephone’s carefree attitude towards danger.
Persephone looks over to Inigo and Morgan, listening to what they have to say. She laughs a little. “Oh, I know he’s a force to be reckoned with. Just because I don’t look like I’m shaking in my boots doesn’t mean that I’m treating him like he’s nothing. It’s just that I prefer to treat each battle as something fun and exciting, y’know?”
“I apologize. My friend is delusional, and hardly takes anything seriously.” Ruitsume explains with a sigh.
“Heheheheh….maybe I am.” Persephone turns her face to the ground, her voice changing to an...eerier tone.
“Oh no...I don’t like this...we might lose her again…” Kanashiko whimpers.
“Who knows? Maybe...he’ll win. Maybe I’ll win. Maybe...we’ll both lose?” Persephone’s grin becomes more sinister, growing as hundreds of light orbs begin floating around her. “Or...maybe we’ll ALL lose!” She looks back up at her opponent, the pupils of her eyes now cat-like slits. The orbs turn into a barrage of regular and colored pencils, which soar at her target like little arrows. After they’ve been launched, she quickly draws her pencil-sword from her bag and pounces at the beast that is now Michael’s shadow.
“Don’t worry Kana.” Ruitsume mutters in a grave tone, aiming for only the small witch in blue to hear her. “If we do lose her again...I’ll handle it.”
The shadow dragon roars as the pencils pierce through it. However, rather than sounding pained, it seems enraged, a majority of the pencils actually breaking when they make impact on its form. The others that managed to stick to the dragon are quickly removed, absorbed by its shadows and repurposed. The witch now has her own magic being used against her, orbs of darkness forming around the dragon, volleys of shadow-corrupted black pencils now being released in her direction. Considering that she is now in midair, Persephone may have a rough time getting out of the way of this attack.
