Gron started to chase after the shewolf, but quickly gave up pursuit as he had won his prize. He took note on the path that she took, for he would follow it later. For now, he sank his teeth into the meat, a victory nonetheless, and one that was quite rewarding in its own right. His snout became bloody as he ate, and he then gave out a howl of victory that seemed to echo. _______________________ Ulfang, by this point, had fallen asleep do to both being tired and bored. He dreamed of his home and the lush forests that shielded it from the outside world. He was hunting with his family, trying to bring down an extremely large elk that had always eluded them before. It disappeared into the trees before him and Ulfang was going to pursue yet he was suddenly alone, the day becoming warped and a giant bear suddenly coming from the trees. He yelped, turning around to flee but only seeing his dead family. The bear was then on him, and he suddenly awoke, panting furiously. He then came to terms that it was just a dream, or a nightmare. He looked around, everyone was still there, off in their own places. In the distance, he thought he could hear a faint howl, but he couldn't be to sure..

Wildflower rolled over once more, so she lied flat on her belly. Her ears twitched, what in the world was that noise? Did she just here a howl? Maybe that was the warning for the hunt, but it was too far off. She got up and delicately said, "Autumn, I'll leave you with Snowfeather. I need to go check something out." She moved off, going swiftly over to Ulfang's cave. She always thought about talking to him, so now was her chance. "Fang. Did you hear that? It didn't sound quite like Ruka, did it?"

Wildflower strolled into Ulfang's cave asking about the howl, so she had heard it as well then. He perked up, "Wildflower, what a surprise. So you heard that howl as well?' He shook his head at it being Ruka, "No it couldn't have been, he should be here out on that rock of his. I think if it was Ruka, not only would we be able to hear it but we would know that howl. Nonetheless, perhaps we should go see Ruka. Come on" With that Ulfang padded out of the cave.

"Well, nice seeing you again too." Wildflower felt her eyes roll as she walked after Ulfang. She nipped at his flank, play growling. "All work no play today? Or am I just too childish for big old Fang?" She yipped, running in front of him and pretending to prepare for a lunge. She ran about around the larger wolf and nipped at him. "Its almost time to hunt Fang! Come on, get excited!"

"I haven't even begun to work today." Ulfang said as he started to get roweled up. He then growled playfully and lunged at wildflower. "Yes the hunt shall begin soon I hope and then I won't be starving.." He nipped at her in return, asking "So how are those pups I found? No more trouble I presume?"

Ruka thought it over and said, "As long as the rest of my pack is okay with it, I don't see why not." He then listened to the rest of his words. "I understand." He said before standing and sending out a howl for the hunting party to begin. _____________________________________________ Jenna kept going with her pup in mouth till she reached the border. She peered over her shoulder to see if that male was still following and for a minute, he seemed he was, but then decided to leave her alone. At least that's what she thought. She turned her attention back to her destination before setting her pup down, using a paw to keep him close to her. Jonas was still a bit shaken from the sight of that big scary wolf, so for once, he did not have the urge to run off anywhere.

Wildflower bounced out of the way, she was more lithe and small than him, which gave Her a fierce advantage when it came to speed. As he nipped her she threw back her head giddily. Playing was always more fun than being serious. "Those pups are just fine, one of them even caught an adult rabbit today." She barked in reply, but when she heard the warning howl her head snapped to attention. "Come on, lets get going." She started walking briskly to the rock, looking back at Ulfang once in a while. When they arrived at the rock Wildflower walked over to Ruka casually, but She was bursting at the seams with excitement. "Ruka, I'm ready for the hunt."

"A fine hunter that one will make!" Ulfang said with excitement. It seemed that they were settling in nicely and for that he had something to smile about. The warning howl was then made, Ruka was calling. He nodded in agreement when Wildflower started to lead the way. She sometimes looked back at him, as if she was making sure he was still there. He wondered what it could mean, but it would have to wait as they made it the rock. He awaited Ruka's words. _______________ Gron was still busy eating the elk when a new sound caught his attention, something running. He crouched down behind the carcass, not knowing what to expect. A wolf then came into view, a muddy brown colored fellow who looked quite young. He was flanked by another wolf of the same color, slightly larger. A conversation then started, "You're sure this is where the howl came from?" The smaller one asked. "I'm sure, don't you smell it, there's been a wolf here, no doubt and look at that carcass.." said the larger one with unease in his voice. "We should tell the alpha of this, it might be that other pack, this could mean war.." Before anymore could be said, Gron made his presence known by lunging at the larger wolf, and in two quick leaps he had him in the jugular, ripping flesh and fur. The wolf died there before being able to think. The smaller wolf lunged at him, growling furiously, but he was no match for large Gron, who quickly pinned him and let him meet a similar fate. Fresh blood dripped from his mouth, so he was close to two packs. how interesting.

Leila was back in her cave when she heard a howl. Meaning the time to hunt was now, so she got up her eyes glittering with happiness but as she ran back to the rest. She had came back to the cave without anyone knowing, but not without checking that the little one came back to Wildflower. Once she was with the others, her eyes held no emotion. Like she didn't feel the happiness but she did. Well....she did. She looked at the rest of them giving them a nod of respect. But she didn't dare say a word, just looked around them.

Ranger woke up and stretched out his stiff muscles focusing mostly on his back where when he did he heard an audible pop an loosened up " ok what did I miss?" He asked himself before looking over at the new pups playing "oh yeah they came in" and started walking over to them ready to introduce himself.

Ruka looked at the hunters. "You may go, I'm gonna stay here." He said. ____________________________ Jenna relaxed once she felt safe for the time being and layed down right there, her paws wrapped around her son. Jonas began to relax in his mother's paws after a bit and observed the pack in the distance. He wondered if he would find other pups to play with there.

Autumn giggled and rolled him over, managing to pin him to the ground. She leaned down, nipping at his ear before leaping off him and crouching down, tail wagging in the air.

Wildflower tilted her head, but then with a huff, she turned. "Yes, Ruka. We'll head off then." When she finished her sentence, she let out a long, warning howl. She wished to gather everyone that was capable to the rock, seeing as it was time to hunt. "I'll be right back, okay? Ulfang, brief the others." She trotted back over to her den, where she saw Autumn, Dodger, and Snowfeather. She bypassed the two playing pups and went straight to Snowfeather. "Snow, do you want to go hunt? Because I'll stay here with the pups if you do, I kind of just ran off without giving you an explanation."

Snowfeather had stationed herself near the pups, watching them tussle with a fond smile. Her ears pricked, picking up footfalls coming towards her. She glanced up at Wildflower, smiling and shaking her head at the question. "No, you go on ahead. I know how long you've been waiting for this." The female said in her usual soft voice.

Leila was quiet like always, she always seemed to be like that always. No one noticed her, but everyone noticed each other. So she said, "I'll be waiting in the woods for the hunt." She knew that would gain attention, she thought. So she jogged into the woods without making a noise or talking. Everyone was busy doing something, but all she did as walk around the pack and would rarely talk. She was like a shadow that no one saw only if she talked. But it was all fine, she licked her paw ad she thought that. She couldn't wait to go hunting, I may be the beta but I might be the worse hunter, she let out a puff of air. She never hunted with the others before, she usually went to hunt by herself.

Thinking on her feet, Autumn lunged to the side, letting Dodge sail past her. She then spun around and leaped onto his back, playfully growling and nipping at his ear.

Ulfang stood up straight, it was time for him to do his duty. He looked at those gathered and spoke, "You all know the drill, you follow Wildflower and I's instructions. No rash decisions without consulting us first." Ulfang began to pace back and forth. "We'll go for Elk today, I think I know where we will find a nice herd. I shouldn't have to remind you guys, but we split one off from the herd then we take it down. Bite the legs to slow it down, then go for the throat. I want a nice clean death, because ask yourself this, if you were in the elk's hooves, would you want to be eaten alive? We move out shortly, so get ready." Ulfang then sat down, mentally preparing himself for the challenge ahead.
