But a dot wouldn't do it justice. It is slightly bigger than just one city. Though perhaps I should label it on the map, and have an arrow pointing to it. You wouldn't really know where to look unless you automatically knew where the North Shore was, or you looked at the rest of my sheet before the map (which nobody does, I'd imagine). It's actually North of Boston. Boston is sort of the middle of that bay there.

Well, I live on 1/20000000 North Shores, mine in Chicago. I think a dot saying North Shore of Bodton could work, otherwise you can't see it.

It's not the North Shore of Boston; it's the North Shore of Massachusetts. Once I get around to adding more to the sheet, I'll probably mention that Boston proper is overrun with mutants and cannibals and their ilk. Anyway, I just added a label (it's green, so it's more noticeable).

Yeah no, as I stated in my last response - and in the nation sheet - the Jade Palace and the local Buddhist lamaseries are not the same. The monks had nothing to do with the Jade Palace until after they showed up out of nowhere. To reiterate: The Jade Palace is occupying many of the lamaseries present in the Kunlun mountain range, but they are not monks. The Buddhists would not normally have any reason to affiliate with the Jade Palace (see my prior post) but are currently collaborating with them for the purposes of maintaining peace within the region. Despite this, they are not acting as militants, and are mostly serving management roles for the Kunlun settlements. This is something of a contrast to how monks have responded to the efforts of governments to exploit their order in order to legitimize their own rule (Burma springs to mind), but this is, pointedly, the Apocalypse, and the Jade Palace's agenda seems to be genuine in their desire and efforts to protect the populace. The Kunlun mountain range is bordered by China, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan - the last three were not the most stable of regions even before the world ended. If it weren't for the Jade Palace forces scouting the borders, directing people to settlements, and performing nominal peace-keeping roles - widespread looting and violence would have torn the region apart. The relationship isn't a perfect one, due in part to Jade Palace 'requisitions' and 'drafts' (forced quartering and kidnapping respectively), but they aren't torturing or murdering people, and they mostly keep to themselves and let everybody in the settlements live however they want without interfering - and they supply a lot of useful information to the settlements through the Tibetan order. I'm not under the delusion that Buddhists would find this sort of arrangement acceptable under normal conditions, but for the moment it is an acceptable improvement to an extremely bad situation. Plus the other stuff I haven't mentioned, since there are a few facets of their relationship/politics I'd like to reserve for the actual IC. :E

Well to be fair if radiation works exactly like in the real world, we probably wouldn't actually have 'mutants' running around willy-nilly. Unless the mutants come from something else; which is entirely possible.

Alright, working on a sheet once I get home from work. Side note: The old map can still be used, it just needs to be saved in a png or JPEG file format when you to save it as a picture. This fixes the issue of opening it in paint and such.

It could just be that one doesn't really learn much about Africa, and it's probably easier to RP a nation at least similar to the one you live in currently.

Well to be fair Africa hasn't had much of an effect on the rest of the world as, say, Europe or the Americas. I mean, we don't learn much about South America either. But this isn't exactly the place to discuss this.

@TheSovereignGrave True..to a point. And it is just an observation. Not like we have limited posts.

We have two options, I can change the story more and make it make more sense but that will put some people off and potentially cause all character sheets to be void or at least up for change. OR, I can completely redo this entire roleplay and repost in a week or so. I'm open to suggestions give me an answer. PLUS: People that know about nuclear winters should recall that during a "Nuclear Winter" there is also a nuclear summer which can have temperatures of 120 or so degrees Fahrenheit and it can rain acidic water for days on end. Technology wasn't so much "lost" as it was horribly and terrible torn apart, and the reason for the "war" was actually to end the spread of the Reaper virus and kill as many people as possible that were tightly grouped together.

Thats.... That would never happen. Also, knowledge and equipment are very separate, the knowledge will last for a century at least, maybe more before literacy and such becomes uncommon enough to limit its passage.
