We should do a role call. I know there's quite a few of us, just can't remember everyone. Nargle's an hour away from me, Brovo (even though he doesn't come around Spam) is from Edmonton, Nexerus is from Saskatoon, you're from Hippieisland, and all that stuff. I'm not sure who all is from the US side of the border, but given how close Banff is to the border, I think it's feasible.

During the winter... not so much.Fall's my favorite time of year though. All of the summer campers leave, and the weather's perfect, then the leaves start to change, and hunting season starts.

I want to like fall more, but more often than not, it never stops raining and it's over way too fast. It's just the impending asshole winter that starts late October/ early November here.

Back home, I was never more than a 20 minute drive from a good lake, so that's definitely something I miss a lot. Turns out Alberta doesn't believe in lakes, and most of the things that Albertans call lakes are glorified puddles and bogs.

Normally we get snow right around Christmas, a couple big snow storms in January and February, and then it just stays below freezing until spring.

We got down to -40 with the windchill this year.

Saskatchewan has a lake for every ten people.

This year was crazy, the snow came out of nowhere. On Halloween, I was outside comfortably all night handing out candy to kids in a duster coat and sweater (plague doctor costume), and it was probably around ten degrees or something like that? Two days later, on November 2nd, we were already getting buried by a super heavy and stupid snowfall. It hasn't left since.

Yeah, that's about as cold as it's gotten here, too. Some years it gets way worse, temperature wise, but so far it's been floating around -30 plus another ten degrees on top of that for windchill on the worst weeks.

Might of for you guys, down in the Valley we tend to get different weather than Stony Plain and Edmonton just because we're 20 minutes South. A lot of that horrible weather you guys got avoided us over the past few months, and vice versa.

meanwhile: We got snow for 3 weeks. Gone now. +1 celcius.

You guys can keep the snow. I am enjoying this, mild winter phenom.

I know Herzi and Holmishire are from the Island, but both of them are still in school, and I really....sincerely, do not want to get in shit for talking to highschool kids and saying things like "Let's go CAMPING!" Remember man, I am 30 goddamn years old.
