I didn't get that from his post at all. I think by "aura" in that one post he meant the generic atmosphere and tenseness in the room. Like if you walk in people after they just had a heated argument--you weren't there, but you just know something happened and you pick up on it in the atmosphere.

Well it's not necessarily aura reading. More like Ki reading. Since Wind/Air is one of the classical Elements, it has connections with Ki reading as such Pestilence has trained his mind to read Ki energy and stuff like that. But he cannot read it well. Basically what Kidd just said.
