Please read the spec prior to posting on IC, as this will lay out the background. I’d like everyone to make an “intro” post about their character. You can have any fantasy character within reason (so your charrie can’t be all powerful etc). Normal rules – no god modding, controlling other people’s charries etc. You also do not have to reveal your charrie’s power immediately, if they have one. Just jump in, but if you have a Qu, just send me a mssg, or put it in below. Background: This is a where the stories, legends and the folklore are real, but only to those who know about it. There are lots of different types of people in this world. There are some who are magical, and others who are only ordinary humans. The magical world once ran parallel with the ordinary world, but there were places where that began to weaken. 10 years ago, and no one knows how, some of the Magicals/Fables ended up in the human world. It was agreed that they should try to find a way to live there until they could find a way back, so they have to hide what they are anywhere a human might see. There are some places that they can be themselves, certain buildings etc, but in public they need to be ordinary and fit in. Some Magicals, when they joined the ordinary world, changed their names as well as their lives. If a magical act, or creature not glamoured, is witnessed by a non magical creature who is able to speak, the information must be distorted by an Enforcer, selected members of the magical community who have the ability to alter a memory. Enforcers can be anyone who has passed an Enforcer test, though there is an age limit. They are like a police for Magicals, hiding what's happened and punishing those who don't follow rules. But recently, there has been some issues with the Enforcers. Someone has been changing the memory of not only those of non magical beings, but those of magical too. Where an Enforcer's power comes from is a guarded secret, but no one wants to believe that an Enforcer could be behind the odd occurrences.... There has also been a recent spate of killings of Magicals and mundanes of all types. The only thing that links them is that the killer has been removing the head and, so far, none have turned up again. In the midst of all this, Cross Academy is finally opening it's doors to students and teachers alike. The first school that will specialize in allowing both magical and non magical students to co-inside. It is a test to see if integration a young age will help magical children fit in better and allow them to practice hiding themselves effectively. It is also designed to breakdown prejudices. The ages for the school were 11 to 19, and would teach all the normal classes, but when the mundanes went to some of their classes, the magicals would undertake special classes. The staff include Enforcers, non magical and magical staff. All staff, who are not human in appearance, must wear glamour at all times. Those students who suffer from this, must take potions each day to hide their physical appearance (such as if they are a toad etc). The school does have dorm rooms in a separate building, but this is only available to Magical/Fable students and it is optional. Those who live close enough or can get a lift can live at home. Magical classes are extra curricular, but most happen after hours (an extra precaution against the Mundanes). For your info: - Magicals/ Fables, when in their own time, didn't age. Some of them arrived younger than they actually are. The biggest worry is that, since coming to this world, they are aging. They can also die, which couldn't happen in their own time. If they die, they don't know what happens to them. - Not everyone has the same abilities they had before, so they may need to relearn them/relearn to control them.

Hey, So just to clarify, there can be students both of fairy tale and normal, right? Also, I'm gussing you don't want everyone to be the same character/ based on the same fictional character. (loving the picture of Jack Frost btw). So if I chose little red riding hood, but called her something else (she couldnt be little red because the ordinary humans would know (bit like Once Upon A Time) I'd be the only person allowed her? Or could there be 10 of the same person? Also, sorry to be a pest but can you tell me: Boarding school or just day school? Is it invite only (I was reading your opening) or is that just to Fable characters and humans apply? Can we have parents who are the Enforcer things? Surprised there's no Bigby. ;)

Hi, Yes, you can be either a Magical or Fable or you can be a normal character. If you chose Red Riding Hood, I would expect everyone else to find someone else, more so that there was variety and also because I think it would be dull otherwise. Obviously I've chosen Jack Frost and Elsa (who would technically be the Ice Queen if you're looking at the Fable) so I don't want another 5 Elsa's. The school does have dorm rooms in a separate building, but this is only available to Magical/Fable students and it is optional. Those who live close enough or can get a lift can live at home. Magical classes are extra curricular, but most happen after hours (an extra precaution against the Mundanes). Right, regarding joining the "school." Obviously everyone is welcome to the roleplay. The school, some students are invited by the director (who will appear in due time) and during the posts I'll move time along, or I'll put prompts in as to what people need to do/where to be within x time (for example there will be a school welcome happening shortly, so I'll be asking people who want to do an entrance prior to have posted this and be in the school hall by 19/2/15 (this is an example). This would mean that any action between characters has until then to move to there. I'm going to be a bit leanient, but the plan is that certain things happen, i.e. notification of other deaths etc. I don't want to be too controlling, but I don't want play to get stuck in a rut either. I'd ask, for now, that no one else plays an Enforcer yet. They're a little complicated, but if you're really keen, if you PM me with your interest, I'll think about it. They have special powers, which I don't want to advertise (this is to prevent people "knowing" these). And who say's there is no Bigby.....?

Oh good. I was wondering when you'd reply. That's cool. So with Hope, she wouldn't be able to stay on school grounds? Makes sense. I'll think about the Enforcer thing. I just wanted to check. I'll write my opening soon. Oh, and I'd like to reserve Little Red. I've just read your thiny on the character board. What do the uniforms look like? Just so I can use this as part of my post

Right, uniforms, sorry I didn't even think to post that. Fitted flack blazer for both male and female. Girls in skirts, boys in trousers, both black, white shirt or blouse, black shoes. The only colour is a red tie for the boys and a red bow for the girls. Keep asking questions. It's helping me add to this!
