Virathus didn't even have to ponder the possibilities, "I'll never be seen on the planet. My systems allow me to run silent. Do what you will, but I'll hunt the bastard down. Try to not be afraid." His armor was packed with a cloaking system that allowed him to phase out of visible range. Given the thick jungle, he would be a ghost in a land of invisibility. Though if Klith had half a brain he'd have sensors to look for Litharian cloaking. So hopefully the Wolkar could have the ability to draw sensors to himself.

Rennac snarled a bit at that insult. "I'm NOT afraid. I am merely running this smart. The closer we are to his location when he sees us, the less time he will have to escape. If we can capture him before his goons know we're there, even better. Actually... How arrogant would you say Klith is? Would he have intruders captured alive for interrogation and such? We could do a trojan horse and have him capture me. With your cloak you can likely slip in unnoticed while they bring me to him. We'll just need to turn the tables when we get the opportunity. Then again, this is all banking on the fact that he doesn't just have me killed on sight."

Virathus paced a bit, antsy to get on the ground and half tempted to jump out the airlock to get there. "Klith was a Master of Eyes, he doesn't if you are captured or not if you don't hold any value. Given that you are a bounty hunter, he couldn't care less if you came to him missing your head."

Rennac sighed and shook his head. "And here you keep focusing on the bounty hunter thing and nothing else. Guessing that title also blinds Litharians from also remembering I am the Alpha of the Shadowclaw clan as well as their representative on the council of Alphas, the chief supporter of the Natre-Dorme university, a chief strategic advisor for the Wolkar Sirius, and a top FERAL NEXT pilot. No, just throw all that out the window.." The Wolkar muttered and grabbed his sniper blaster rifle from the back, slinging it across his back and landing the ship in a small clearing near their first suspected point. "Keep cloaked and stay a good distance away from me while we search. Widened pattern will cover more ground and will keep you from getting caught in any traps they'll deploy against me since I'll still be visible. Use the comm codes to radio me directly so we wont give away each other's position."

Virathus was about to hit Rennac again, he simply didn't get it. A honorless cur is what the Litharians hate and a bounty hunter is nothing more than a man who sells his honor to the highest bidder, or in his case turn on his partner over a damn INTCOM call. All of this stupid fluff didn't matter. When they landed he wasted no time in getting away from Rennac, entering in the com codes and cloaking a few seconds after that. As soon as the airlock on the ship opened he bolted out before Rennac so one man eexiting wouldn't seem so strange. Virathus unslung his rifle using his heads up display to check the plasma charge and to have it set with Rail Rounds. The Wolkar may be worried about traps, but his concerns were for targets.

Reaper was mistaken in thinking the Wolkar was only worried about traps. He was worried about the traps AND the soldiers that would come and attack him while he was pinned or immobilized. He drew both pistols and started up his visor's spectral scans, going through thermal and even motion tracking so he would still be aware of Reaper's position. Better to know your partner's angle when you came upon a set of enemies and figure which he would most easily be able to take. He approached the first possible landing site, peeking up through the jungle brush to see if there was any activity.

Virathus ran out of the ship and across to the nearest tree pressing his back to it. Scanning his surroundings he saw that they were in the clear, for now. Using his armors traction pads and plasma jet burst systems he very quickly climbed up the tree to get a better advantage point. It was when he was up at the top that he began scanning through the thick foliage. Unfortunately it was too thick and nothing came back. Perhaps it would be best to make them come out of hiding, "Rennac, start moving. I don't see anything around us on my systems." After making contact through the radio he took up a position in the tree waiting for the Wolkar to pick a direction.

Rennac likewise found nothing on his scans, his jetpack heating up as he opened up his comm. "Guess it's time to kick the hornet's nest. I see you on motion tracker. Gonna see if some fireworks doesn't get some attention." He flew p into the air above the treeline, plenty high to be seen with ease as he brought his wrist up and took aim with the rocket. He fired into the middle of the man made landing zone, hoping to get some attention drawn to his location and see if there would be anyone firing on him that he could pummel and get info out of.

Virathus watched Rennac soar into the air and fire a rocket off it some direction. A strange tactic, but sure to make their presence known for a good while. He sat in the tree watching for any changes around them, but again nothing seemed to happen, show up, or anything else really. Although unbeknownst to two, several agents began moving in towards their position. They were out of scanner range, but closing fast. Each one armed and armored in Litharian garb and trained in the lands judging by the way they expertly navigated the jungle.

rennac remained airborn after his attack, putting his motion tracker on to see if there were any movement. There were a few cretures that had started to move away from the disturbance, though any enemies closing in were still outside of scanner range. "Gonna give it a few minutes, see if they dispatch anyone. If not, this spot may be a dud. We can pack in and move to the next area."

For a while nothing happened, but then Rennac's motion sensors would have lit up with several incoming bogeys. But after a short while they multiplied exponentially, turning from about 10 to 40. Comign from all directions they advanced rapidly. Virathus watched as his motion sensors became useless, clearly whatever was coming had deployed some kind of motion tracker disruptor. Keeping a keen eye he switched to thermal vision to try and find whatever was coming.

Rennac's eyes went right to the blips on his motion tracker, eyes widening in surprise as he saw the blips go from 10 to about 40 coming at all sides. He touched down onto the jungle floor, turning it off and revving his jetpack. "Reaper, shut off thermals. It's gonna get hot and I don't wanna blind you from the sudden flare up. Look for where the smoke seems to shift oddly with nothing there." He gave a second or two before he put his jetpack on full blast but no thrust, disengaging the thrusters and running only the fuel injector pumps to keep himself from flying off. This in turn creates a thick fog of smoke around the Wolkar that would show the manipulation from a cloaked figure walking through it. Wasteful. Yes. Effective. Hopefully. All else failed he could do sweeps with his flamethrower, figuring Litharian cloaking tech was probably not fire proof.

Virathus watched in silence as the blimps on his sensors grew closer and closer, knowing that they wouldn't be a good indicator for finding them specifically, but it gave a general description of how far away they were. Using his thermal he rapidly scanned around not finding anything until something ran across his range, a thick red stain against the rest of the world. He zeroed in on it, taking aim when the target stopped, but then it just vanished. All around Rennac the incoming agents stopped and observed from afar, all activating their respective cloaking systems, which would shield them from ocular and thermal visions. All in turn they readied their rifles and started to move in for a shot against the Wolkar and all that dust he was kicking up wouldn't do a thing for their thermal visioned scopes.

The dust he was kicking up wouldn't affect their thermals, but the smoke would. With a mental trigger he set his engines to be at just a bare simmer, spouting out plenty of exhaust to create a thick cloud. This in turn would flare up Reaper's sensors as well, but he did warn him to turn off his thermals. Once a thick enough blanket of smoke was made he cut his jetpack and ducked into the smoke, seeing if the Litharian traitors would try and venture in. If not, then he would need to give them reason to flee flee inside where he could remove the advantage from their cloaks.

Virathus had taken off his thermal vision when he lost his target, knowing that it was due to Litharian cloaking and it wouldn't matter any. Though if you know how it works, you also know how to get around it. He closed his eyes and opened his mind, seeing the world around him through the Psionic plane, sensing the presences of the agents as well as Rennac. He found his target again and took aim with his mind, making sure he had a clear shot when he pulled the trigger, releasing a lightning fast shot of super dense plasma that was a Rail Round. It shot straight through the Litharian's head and didn't stop. It continued through a nearby tree and only vanished into the ground as it's way of stopping. This Litharian agent who was shot dropped instantly, but the rest couldn't find where it came from, so their attention was on the threat they could see. They were about to turn Rennac into a pile of plasma slag when he spit up all the exhaust shrouding him from thermal vision and causing a few blind shots to wizz past Rennac's head. But instead of stepping into the shroud a few instead drew a few plasma grenades, armed them, and lobbed them into the cloud hoping to blow him up, or at least spread the fog out with the blast.

Rennac blinked as he saw the rail shot go through what he assumed was one of their heads, the hyper-dense shot drilling a scorched hole through a nearby tree. He kept his head low as the blind shots flew by, cursing his luck as he saw the grenades. Grumbling to himself he re-ignited his jetpack and flew i the direction a few of the grenades had come from, flying full tilt out while also letting his flamethrowers loose on any in his general path. No matter ow expensive your cloaking device may be, it didn't help much when you were on fire.

Virathus glad that his first shot in days was a success began searching the Psionic plane for a new target, quickly finding one and taking aim once more. Waiting briefly to make sure the plasma cycler had cooled off the battery he let fly another round. Once again another open space erupted into a red paste as another agent's head was popped. This time though a few agents had their eyes open and saw the initial flash from Virathus' gun. Two agents turned and began opening fire at the spot where Virathus was. Noticing the attention he was receiving he rolled off the branch he was standing on, falling off to rapidly avoid the shots. Once he was by the ground he fired the plasma jets on his armor to correct and reduce the landing's impact. It made another flash be he was quick to change positions in an attempt to stay hidden. As for the agents Rennac was charging the flames were not as effective he may have hoped. The synthetic and metallic armor wasn't very flammable allowing most of the agents that were in range to roll away from the flames and seek cover before any real damage could be sustained. One man however was directly in front of Rennac and received a full blast of fire. While he didn't ignite, his armor heated up rapidly and some of the lighter spots burned his skin. He wasn't dead, but he was crippled and screaming. The rest of the agents began to return fire now that their target was lit up with a bright tail pointing to exactly where he was. Plasma charges went sailing towards Rennac for several different directions.

Rennac cursed as he saw the agents were a bit less flammable than he thought, hearing one screaming and crippled from the flames while he drew his pistols. Explosives were quickly becoming his now preferred method of attack as he saw the plasmacharges coming at him. He quickly raised his wrist mounted rocket launcher and fired, setting the rocket on a time delay rather than having it detonate on impact. He was singed a bit from the blast, but hopefully it would have throw off the charges enough for him to escape their blast radius. He fired suppressing shots from his blaster as his wrist unit reloaded for another shot, bringing it to bear once more before firing another of the dangerous projectiles right next to where one of the agents was taking cover. Would not be a direct hit, but the blast radius would still do a good bit of harm.
