@Zayze I think you misunderstood. Your picture depicts the etherpad beneath the new reply box, I was asking if, I supposed if it was going to stay in that position? Was that the idea? But what I meant was say two people are collaborating in that box, if I changed pages, like browsing through spam, would the box refresh like the new reply box and become empty, or would the etherpad persist page to page? Or would it be located in the OOC/IC or the PM area?

Yeah that was my idea, to stay in that position. Honestly, whatever is easier for Mahz, in my opinion. I would like it to just stay on that page, and you'd just have to open up a new tab if you wanted to continue to browse. I do want a etherpad for the PM/IC/OOC section too. The way I see it in my head is that the etherpad is just a *"plugin"* to what mahz already set up for the text boxes that exist on this site already. Like as I am typing this message to you right now, I could invite you too it. Then I could open up a new tab and do other things as you are writing. Did I understand you correctly this time? :p @Aeonumbra

I see, but etherpads aren't always short and sweet. Often I find myself having to stop and start again, which means we need some sort of saving feature, as Mahz was talking about. I wouldn't mind something as simple as what you depicted, an new reply box with invite capabilities with a small chat box, which would work best if it mimicked the PM system I think, instead of doing a tab, as there may be a need for multiple collabs to be happening at one time and I feel using a tab system would clutter the page, unless it was /etherpad/ tab and then the collab taking place in separate post boxes (ie: this as you're reading it).

That'd be really interesting, then maybe when the collab is done you can close/lock it. I honestly don't know though. I'm just pitching ideas to Mahz so he can maybe get a better understanding of what he wants. He's the type of guy that'll do the right thing, so I'm not really worried about it. I'm gonna take a break from posting and just see what others post for a while. I've spammed this thread enough already. :p

But I did just push up a change: The guild now resizes images and hosts them itself. - Max avatar dimensions changed from 150x150 to 150x200 (150px wide, 200px tall) - You can choose an image larger than 150x150 and the guild will resize it to 150x200 for you (maintaining aspect ratio) - You must upload your old avatar manually to move it into the new system. In a week or so, I'll be removing all old avatars. If you go to your "Edit Avatar" form, you'll be able to access your old avatar so that you can conveniently upload it into the new system. - Performance boost on pages that display avatars since you use my fast host and I aggressively cache avatars. Lemme know if you have an issue. I also ask that you don't try to break the upload system by selecting non-images or massive images. It's kinda fragile.

Okay thanks for quelling my concern! ^^ Also one more thing: Say I want to copy/paste a CS but when I paste it, it loses its formatting, so if it had boldness, line breaks, eat, it comes a big blob of text that I need to tweak myself (so much work!). Is this supposed to happen? Because I thought a few days ago, you could copy/paste and formatting would remain. (unless of course you paste as plain text...)
I use a mega hack to get line-breaks to work. Apparently a side-effect of my hack is that copy-and-pasting the rendered post does not preserve line-breaks, which sucks. I could fix this by replacing my mega hack with a different hack, and I should eventually. However, if you click "View Raw" and copy that, then line-breaks will be preserved. If you want people to copy some text, you may want to wrap it in [pre][/pre] tags. Line-breaks are preserved when copying it:
Name:
Age:
...
If those options don't work, then why not? I really hate for you to manually add line-breaks back in. I should be able to figure out an intermediate solution.

Latest push: - Added back the glyph that indicates you've posted in a topic: - Experimental: The Reply button removes nested quotes - You now receive a notification when someone rates your posts - Staff now have a button that forces a forum to reconsider its "latest post". Useful when we hide a spambot yet it still remains on the homepage. Clicking the button will make the forum find a new latest-post candidate that's not hidden.

And with the removed nested quotes, my last quibble with anything Guild-related has been resolved. Thank you, and hopefully once I'm completely finished with my repairs (I estimate Tuesday or so), I can begin to take a look at the Guildcode and start cracking.

How difficult would it be to: -add post numbers into the quote button -have the snipped quote text have a link to the snipped post ?

Annoying enough to exclude them from the first implementation. It needs to happen, though. It's some good polish.

What we really need is an announcement on the front page letting users know when something major happens that needs their action (such as, say, avatars and signatures needing to be reuploaded/modified). People won't miss that.

Such as a sticky topic in news that is updated when announcements are made.

Probably more like a new post for every major feature. Otherwise people will ignore the thread as simply being further comments, and not new news.
