Thanks for understanding the busy schedule guys. With a full class load, a kid on the way, and bills to pay, sometimes it can be hard to find a minute to write. However, I'm in the process of writing the post. I'm heading down to the library at around 7:00 EST (Gmt -5 I think) as well, so I'll have even more time to finish and fine-tune it there.

Yo Seuss, I'm currently chewing through this backstory and whatnot, but does the roster have room for a rebellious black sheep that never really picked up his old man's talents, and ended up leaving on iffy terms only to return to make up for being a young & dumb a-hole?

Alright, I was thinking a very young male drow runaway that finds his way into Nightwood, to be be found out by Brand stealing away food and trinkets from his other adopted young children to survive. Brand has some pity and benefit of the doubt and takes him in, teaching him with the others, but later down the line he finally rubs most the wrong way and runs off to be a bandit or whatnot. I'd love to incorporate some of the PC's already into his story.

Hey Deja, I'm down with having Quinn involved in some way with your character's backstory. Hopefully this can help you patch it all together! Expect a post from me by tomorrow night!

Alright sweet, posted up a sheet and tried to fill it with enough hooks to make some story lines out of. @ibyaah I PM'd you regarding the collab,, it's sitting in the CS ambiguously if we decide to go another way.

I like the CS but I don't think I've gotten the PM yet. I do have a couple ideas though to incorporate. Actually, I'll wait for your first post to add mine. That way I can add some exposition that'll bring your backstory in. Thanks!

Alright, I actually PM'd you this time(this site changed a bit since my absence). Until I can get my char's history down, I'll wait to post so I don't end up having to retcon anything. Just curious, which characters and users are still in this thing?

I'm still very much present and so is my character - Lysandra. Which she can also be used in not only your history, Deja, but for any of the character still at play in the story.

Feel free to use Masef as you see fit in a history. I'm fine with it.

Alright, I think I've gotten most of the the history hammered down for my character Kazahk. The NPC brother Kazahk killed in his youth was named Tagerdson, a orphan of obviously northern decent who was big, boisterous, and goodhearted, much loved with the villagers and the family. He would have been 29, had the event occurred. Feel free to use and mention him in the story/ history.

Look, Bob, what part of this don't you understand, eh? It's a matter of style, okay? A proper brawl doesn't just happen. You don't pile in, not anymore. Now, Oyster Dave here - put your helmet back on, Dave - will be the enemy in front, and Basalt, who as we know, don't need a helmet, he'll be the enemy coming up behind you. Okay, it's well past knuckles time, let's say Gravy there has done his thing with the Bench Swipe, there's a bit of knife play, we've done the whole Chandelier Swing number, blah blah blah, then Second Chair - that's you, Bob - you step smartly between their Number Five man and a Bottler, swing the chair back over your head, like this - sorry, Pointy - and then swing it right back onto Number Five, bang, crash, and there's a cushy six points in your pocket. If they're playing a dwarf at Number Five, then a chair won't even slow him down, but don't fret, hang on to the bits that stay in your hand, pause one moment as he comes at you, then belt him across both ears. They hate that, as Stronginthearm here will tell you. Another three points. It's probably going to be freestyle after that but I want all of you, including Mucky Mick and Crispo, to try for a Double Andrew when it gets down to the fist-fighting again. Remember? You back into each other, turn around to give the other guy a thumping, cue moment of humorous recognition, then link left arms, swing round and see to the other fellow's attacker, foot or fist, it's your choice. Fifteen points right there if you get it to flow just right. Oh, and remember we'll have an Igor standing by, so if your arm gets taken off do pick it up and hit the other bugger with it, it gets a laugh and twenty points. On that subject, do remember what I said about getting everything tattooed with your name, all right? Igors do their best, but you'll be on your feet much quicker if you make life easier for him and, what's more, it's your feet you'll be on. Okay, positions, everyone, let's run through it again... ~Discworld: Going Postal ---- Barfights, an essential tool to any writer that wants to establish how gritty their setting is. And we love them all the same. Though I sort of feel bad for the guards, and the horrible shenanigans that will soon be unleashed upon them. They had no idea what they were getting into, they just wanted to be villains, they didn't know that a bunch of adventures would be in town. lol
