The year is 3400, the earth is divided into two parts and they are both fiercely fighting for the power to rule the planet. Major technological, warfare and scientific advancements were achieved in the last 1000 years, yet none managed to create successful means to colonize or travel in outer space, and with the rising population of humanity, the earth must be occupied by either side, and eliminating the other.
= The Western Empire of New Washington =
- History -
The Western Empire of New Washington was formed around 2088 when the formerly United States of America won a war against neighboring countries that tried to invade it, then after gaining more land and people it united with much of Europe under the curtains of an Empire. The Empire as it is known, managed to focus on military development alongside agricultural and educational achievement. The vast amount of population made the empire an unmatched foe to be challenged, yet all these weren't enough to thwart the growing threat of the Eastern Alliance what with their Mecha and technological marvels. After several years of research in the Britain Islands, scientists were able to find proofs of mythological creatures slumbering in the Northern Pole, there an expedition was led by Sir Anthony Springers in 2300 that was successful in finding and waking over thousands of slumbering Dragons. With the help of the Dragons, the Empire could now have a fighting chance against the Alliance.
- Lands -
The Americas, Europe, Northern Pole, Much of Africa, Arabia, and India.
The Capital of the Empire is seated in what used to be the Washington DC, and is heavily populated and guarded.
I will leave filling out the rest of the Empire's various countries to the respective characters that come from there.
- Dragons -
Sir Anthony Springers himself, now a legendary historic figure, with his wit and well spoken tongue was able to convince the Dragons to aid the Empire in their warfare in exchange for the dragons' freedom to roam and be undisturbed. The Dragons were able to speak in a language coherent to man, and showed extremely high intellect, intelligence, and unique personalities.
Dragons are classified to three categories:
- Elder Dragons, these are the wisest, mightiest and rarest of the dragons, there is about twenty of them in the known part of the Empire. They either serve roles as high generals, spokesmen and political leaders of their kind.
- Warfare Dragons, these are combat enhanced dragons with human augmentation such as radars, missile capabilities and airship guns. They are slightly weaker and smaller than Elder Dragons, they are fierce and unmerciful, and the least friendly of the three kinds. Only the best of the Empire Fighters get to command these beasts.
- Labor and Free Dragons, these are the weakest of the three, but the friendliest, and fastest of them. They are mainly used for non combat purposes either in the military or out of it. The little ones are also used as pets or companions to the wealthy few.
- Prominent Roles -
You may be whoever and whatever you wish, but here are some prominent roles you can take in the Empire:
- Battalion General
you command 10 dragons and over hundreds of soldiers.
- Dragon Ryder
you command a Warfare Dragon, you two are one, and fight and die as one.
- Vehicle Soldier/Captain -
you can either be an airship pilot, that's an advanced futuristic version of modern day f-16; command a battalion tank, Naval soldier or any other.
- Non-Combat roles/Political figures
- Hired guns and assassins
= The Eastern Alliance of New Asia =
- History -
The Eastern Alliance of New Asia was formed after the formation of the Western Empire of New Washington back in 2088, driven by fear of war the leaders of the ONA (Oriental Nations Alliance) decided to form a greater more clear alliance to face the danger of the Empire. After the formation of the Alliance, and over the years, marvelous technological advancements were achieved in Japan and China that led to the creation of the MECHA, a project of warfare enabled, Mechatronical armored fighters that had extremely powerful flying and combat capabilities. It was in the Alliance luck that they were able to develop such MECHA for the Empire was able to revive long slumbering dragons and use them their aid.
- Lands -
Eastern Asia, Much of Russia, China, New Zealand and Australia.
The Capital of the Alliance is seated in the heart of Tokyo, Japan. You can add your details to the respective countries of your character.
- MECHAs -
There are various types, sizes, and functions to MECHA which are known in the Alliance as "Mechs, Angels, Irons and many more names", here are some of the most important types:
- CLASS-0 MECHA
The Ultimate MECHA, these are piloted by the very best in the Alliance, they are strong, very advanced and quite massive, the smallest of these models can be as big as a three hundred storey building. But they are few and barely anyone could risk their use for little skirmishes as they are expensive and treasured well.
- Elite Class-A Mecha
The best combat mecha used by the soldiers of the Alliance, they have over a hundred of these and they are sparable and easy to manufacture.
- Class-B Mecha
Support Mecha that are faster than Class-A's and very mobile.
- Class-C Mecha
Less powerful variety of the Class-A and are quite abundant in the Alliance, they have thousands of these and the factories are always making hundreds of them.
- Various other Mecha types, combat and non combat
- Prominent Roles -
Again same as said, you can be anything you wanna be, but here are the most prominent:
- CLASS-0 Pilot
you are the elite of the elite, you were handpicked among hundreds candidates to pilot the Alliance's greatest weapon, the mighty and powerful CLASS-0 MECHAs. When not commanding the behemoth, you are piloting other Class-A Mechs
- Class-A Pilot
- Class-B Pilot
- Class-C Pilot
- Science division/political roles
- Mercenaries, hired pilots.
|| Rules ||
- Please Read everything in the OOC including these rules if you want to have the best experience and approval of your CS(s).
- RPGuild Rules apply, that means keep the sexual graphic to a minimum and anything explicit should be faded to black or taken to PM.
- You may join either side and create as many as 3 characters, but in doing so please understand the commitment you are making to be a regular poster.
- Try to be active, if you don't post for long and you are in the way of the plot or other characters' progress I will have to act and it may cause your character to die, get scraped or moved away until you return.
- I expect at least a paragraph or two minimum and a sensible maximum so the other players won't be overwhelmed.
- To me what matters most is content than quantity of individual posts, please use good writing skills and character development.
- Any questions just shoot me PM, I'm always open for anything.
This RP is a realistic Sci-Fi even though it has Dragons, so keep superhuman powers, Aliens and the paranormal out of this for the time being.

Don't open unless you want to read a critical small-rant of science and logic.
We've gone from swords and bows to ICBMs and long-range naval cruise missiles in the past two hundred years. The scales of a dragon would have to be made of diamond-titanium reactive-plating advanced alloy in order to not be blown out of the sky. That, and lasers are already real today- a dragon in this era would be burned alive in minutes if it were any higher than a building. Railguns, too, would probably be far more prominent, since they're already big and powerful today, and no doubt be less big and far more powerful in this era.
Forgive my skepticism, but unless we had a total ice age and started over again from scratch, besides books and the like salvaged from pre-doomsday, then dragons would literally stand no chance. Today, aim-assist for real weapons is starting to be developed- a dragon would be shot out of the sky instantly from a hivemind-like network of defense grids or mobile units. A squad of soldiers could pack enough punch to kill a dozen dragons, because dragons are real big and scaly, and they fly around- no match for auto-targeting, lasers, and advanced armor piercing.
So my point is, a thousand years is a bit steep. Especially for not having any way to get off-planet. If you can lift a hundred-ton megabot off the ground and still have manuverability, then you can get a space station into space without any problems, and then beyond. The overpopulation would be horrendous, where you're fighting just as much battles against each other as you are with welfare riots.
Dragons would have to be so seriously magical that they could stop a tank if it flew at them, because there will be helluva lot more powerful weaponry being used, and not be tired at all. Making a supersoldier can only go so far, before automated defense turrets simply shoot his infrared reading hiding behind a house from a mile away, with supersonic armor piercing shells that'll probably blow right through their head.

Good points there but here is how we will get around those issues in this RP:
- The Dragons ARE tough, they are fast, they have scales that could withstand bullets and laser blasts, the elder dragons can withstand grenade shells and explosives, just watch Pacific Rim, our dragons are as strong as those Kauiju (wrong spelling) .
- The side that's controlling the dragons, the empire, aren't medieval barbarians, they have all sorts of military weapons well except mechs. So it is not just one dragon foolishly flying above iron domes.
- In combat, the randomness of it, such weapons you mentioned wouldn't be used more than once before they catch a fireball or infantry sabotaging them in secret sub plot missions
Join in, make a character, I admire your rant and would like to see you in, you got the brains.
I am going to unsubscribe and leave before it's... nonrealism blows my head apart. I've already written and deleted three rants which became about four pages as long as I meant them to be. Gudbai\
This is to say, this idea is kind of like bad grammar to my Grammar Nazi, as an example of how much it bothers the inside of my head
