So anyway, you have your introduction. Some of you who are less familiar with the goings on before the six films may be looking at me like this:
Alright, well, the word "Jedi" was not always spelled like most of us know it, and the Jedi Order at one point (while it was known as the Je'daii Order) actually made use of both sides of the Force, with their goal being a perfect balance between the two. This RP starts in the year 25,793 BBY, at the very beginning of the Force Wars, which split the Je'daii Order between Ashla (the Light Side) and Bogan (the Dark Side). Everyone will be a member of the Je'daii Order, and the beginning setting will be Tython (so no one gets to be a Force Hound, which means no Forcesabers starting out), unless someone else wants to GM the Rakatans, in which case, talk to me.
For those who don't know, Lightsabers have not been invented yet. The closest thing to a Lightsaber is the Forcesaber, which is exclusive (at the moment) to the Rakatans and the Force Hounds.
What is a Force Hound?
The Force Hounds are Force-sensitive slaves of the Rakatans, taught to follow only the Dark Side, as the Rakatans do, and used to snuff out pockets of Force-sensitive rebels against the Infinite Empire. Each is given a codename by the Rakatans, usually being a letter in the Aurebesh. This name is tattooed on the face, arms, and back of the Force Hound. An example would be the Force Hound known as Xesh. They typically command large bands of Flesh Raiders (rather dim-witted, lower-caste mutant Rakatans).
The Je'daii Code/Oath:
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no fear; there is power.
I am the heart of the Force.
I am the revealing fire of light,
I am the mystery of darkness
In balance with chaos and harmony,
Immortal in the Force.

The Je'daii Ranking System:
- Je'daii Temple Master (Equivalent of a Jedi High Council Member)
- Je'daii Master (Equivalent of a Jedi Master [not on the Council])
- Je'daii Ranger (Equivalent of a Jedi Knight)
- Je'daii Journeyer (Equivalent of a Jedi Padawan)
- Padawan (Equivalent of a Jedi Youngling [or Initiate, if you prefer that term])
Though the goal of the Je'daii is to obtain perfect balance between the light and dark, there are those that sway a little to either side. Keep that in mind when thinking of characters. The Je'daii that sway too far, however, are exiled to one of Tython's moons, the brighter one named Ashla (just like the Light Side) or the darker one named Bogan (like the Dark Side). It seems that they are actually exiled to the moon named for the side they lean toward, perhaps to keep them from viewing the moon as a whole and seeing only the other one. They are sent for the purpose of meditation until they return to balance.
As far as weapons go: we basically have Vibroswords and such which we enhance with our Force powers until we get our hands on Forcesabers, which will happen in due time.
Also, Tatooine is not a desert right now. Will be at the end of the RP, but not yet. Figured I'd say that, as it will likely be a planet we may venture to. And, as they were Force-sensitive, the ancestors of the Sand People and Jawas, called the Kumumgah, will be a playable race, in the instance that anyone wanted to RP one.
So, I know it got a bit complicated, but if you've stuck with me, then I'm done, I think. Any questions: ask or reference wikia. So have I caught anyone's attention? Feel free to lay claim to your desired rank (above Padawan) and race (not Rakatan). I will be the only Temple Master of our group, and will possibly be playing a Kwa.
