So I've been thinking of what kind of RP would be amusing to make/participate in. One idea that pass my mind is "An RP where characters don't interact directly to each other". Think of it as something like [Durarara] or any other work by the same writer. It features story about people in the same city, doing stuff that may or may not related to each other.
For example Player A control/write story about a detective investigating a mass murderer case. Meanwhile, Player B control/write story about a high school graduate working in a bar. So there is no case of "waiting for others' respond" giving us freedom to make post at our leisure. However, there will be the case where both stories clashed to each other. Like the detective will meet the high school boy at the bar and have random talk with him. There will also be indirect interaction like A, who is a famous idol, release a song and B, who's the fan of A, buy and listen to it.
I assume RP like this will require a lot of side-characters. So character we're playing as are roughly "The main character of his/her story".

So here is the question, will this work?
Demerit:
- The lack of interaction makes it feels as we're just writing alone, wondering why it's a group activity to begin with.
- Not knowing when to stop writing or how to continue.
- The freedom instead makes it harder to write, since not knowing what to write, what okay and what not.
- Higher chance of quitter aka people who quit because losing their interest and get bored.
- Chance of no direct or indirect interaction will happen.
