Eyes so aggravated they tear up in attempts to get it out, the smell at close range enough to burn your nostrils like a flamethrower. I mean, I don't see how pepper spray wouldn't affect. I mean, vampires, yeah, but, a bullet still hurts, even if it isn't exactly as painful as before because of a hundred years of... stuff! Idk. Like I said, I'm used to nation roleplaying and covering all bases, and being, well, competitive. Why wouldn't pepper spray work though? I read your app, it's not like she can't smell... Or are you talking about her doing something to him to provoke the reaction? I don't know. Why wouldn't pepper spray do anything to a vampire? Not even my character, but that it would be me doing so so I think you might understand why that would make me feel so disturbed. Even if you were referencing my character, how you said it was kinda disrespectful and inconsiderate. It seems like you took all consideration for my characters ability to react and tossed it out the window and since you're the GM you kinda make me afraid to post anything BUT my character is writhing in agony over such an attack without some sort of consequence. I wouldn't force anyone to do something that wouldn't be of their character or really force them to do anything. If I had my character spray his own face if you attacked him, would that be enough to keep you away? I think it would. No, in all seriousness, you post what YOU will. Never let me order you around. I'm not used to be taken so seriously- if I'm doing anything, it's just joking, not forcing you or anything. Generally, if I say "You will be", it's just me meaning the character. You're the character- for me it's just... weird, I guess. When I mean something that my character would do to yours, it's like ach. it's hard to explain, I guess. It's one of the things that makes me me, and not anyone else. Yeah, you would probably dodge, being an elder vampire, but pepper spray- everyone in the room with the vampirey senses would not have a pleasant time of it, even if it just hit the wall. Look, all my experience as someone with... power, like a GM, came from being a mod/admin/staffmember of game servers like in Minecraft. The problem was that no one really listened to me in the first place. i used to be head of staff on a friend's server. My friend and her brother owned it and ran it, and it went pretty well. The problem was that I was fair- and I believed in the "Even kings are not above the law." As a result, no one ever listened to me because the owners would usually join in with the regulars with things that the owners had said were a no, or let them return if I enacted justice on their heads. Someone blew up his house? Ban. The owners come along, and Oh! They just love that kid who blew up that other guy's house, so they'll just bring them back so the rest of us can suffer and the owners can talk to him in game. I'm not used to be listened to, see. For me it's just... pure joking, really. Hazah. That's why I made AnaSilan co-GM. I figured she had more experience and she was in the rp longer than me, or as long as me. Hey it's alright. I really appreciate the apology and I understand that wasn't how you meant to come off now. I did notice that you lacked some confidence, I suppose now I know why. Well, let me tell ya something Will. I've only recently become a GM for a Casual Advanced rp, one I'm very passionate about. I stuck with my own policies and rules to a T, and warned everyone before hand that I'm a very harsh critic. I've been told to 'Shove my ego up my ass' and been dealt so much sass at this point that it's not even funny because I refuse to lower my standards (or increase them for that matter) for anyone. I am, however, not dismissive of anyone's legitimate questions and do my best to make sure everyone can have a good time; because those that adhered to my standards deserved it for working so hard to make their ways into my rp. What I'm saying is, to make others believe in you, you have to believe in yourself. Otherwise they'll walk all over you. So many, SOOOO MANY rpers feel entitled to the world a GM makes and feel they can do whatever they want because they've gotten away with it before. There's a difference between Collaboration and Condescending. Will people hate you for it? Most definitely and it's hilarious because you get to watch them act like complete babies (so long as you give them minimalist answers and don't respond out of anger). But the people who respect your rules, conform to your story will be the best kind of people to work with. I absolutely adore and love everyone in the rp I'm GMing and that was because I chose not to deal with anyone who challenged me, meaning I can give them a special experience unique to their own characters without feeling any sort of resentment. I know getting there is hard, believe me, but you'll achieve the right amount of stubbornness eventually. Just keep working on it. 1% better every day, and in 100 days, you'll be 100% better :)

Yeah but games are area of expertise. I may not be respected as an admin as much as others, but people don't argue with me if they mess with my builds, or if I suggest something. I'm usually THE builder on servers. And I have to leave some MC servers because they won't let me renovate. Seriously, some people need to learn how to BUILD. Castles are not giant one-roomed buildings with weird-looking tower things that sit on the perfectly-square walls like... legos. I can make amazing things Amazing I am good at building. Others are better, but I'm the best among the average! That and I usually win in strategy games. And I'm decent in shooters. Hey! You distracted me. Besides, if life were a video game, I'd already have conquered half of America. I conquered all of South America, half of North America, all of Central America, and the majority of Africa in Civ 5. I produced like two dozen nuclear missiles before the other nations managed to get the nuclear proliferation act. Then I just bought enough votes to turn it back down. Then I nuked Rome for rivaling me politically. And then I took over- nevermind. I am very proud of my accomplishments in games, lezzgowiththat

My character isn't allowed a reaction to her dramatic spinning and lunge forward, and apparently his hands in his pockets were clear signs of him having a weapon in his left hand or whatever.

I'm gonna go with no.

No...? She didn't know he was reaching for a weapon, that was just the hand she grabbed since it would be the easiest to take hold of. And I gave you room to react, hence my using terms like 'would' instead of definite ones.
