i would suggest that the women of your nation learn to have a mutual respect for men otherwise trading might be difficult

Still, just to sail to a nation like Avalaysia or The Al-Emekir Tribes would be traveling about 1/4-1/3 the length of the map.

Maritime nations can have fairly extensive trade routes. I'm pretty sure Carthage, for example, traded with modern-day Cornwall. Plus he does have Sauron's nation and Kant to trade with.

They don't need to respect men, just pretend to or be at least at somewhat polite around them.

Yeah, I think i'm going to pull out of this. It's getting a bit too hectic and frustrating, and it hasn't even started yet. Best of luck to everybody else!

I'm good with trade. I already trade with 5 different nations if golem agrees to the trade system. Plus I'm going to trade with the qinniy empire and that holy island if possible. That would make a total of 7.
@qinniy empire/rare, will you trade your wood?

so you're saying that discussing trade and diplomatic relations in the OOC is taking it too seriously?

I think all the trade talk is a bit strange. Do all of your nations' rulers control who trades what and to who?

It's really simple if you're trading 1 to 1. You just give one thing you have for something you want. It's more complex if your connecting the trade for 1+ nations. A example is, you want to trade with nation A but you don't have anything it wants so you trade with nation B to get the thing nation A wanted and you give that thing to nation A

I know that, but in all of the Nation RPs I've been in I've never seen discussions like this. Yeah, there was talk of trade and whatnot but not like this.

I don't think that's really how it works, unless the rulers themselves control pretty much all trade in and out of the nation and forbid any other trading from going on.

well i think it's better than the nation rps where people are showboating their nation's military power and how they can take down anybody they encounter, I've been apart of one of those and it was very immature.

Trade=money.

Those Nation RPs usually end with someone going OP with military power and ruining the whole thing.

Thankfully I've never been in a nation RP where it's just (or even mostly) people doing that, fortunately. And I agree, I'd much rather have this than that. That's just no fun.

Since we haven't started yet, I assume it just wouldn't exist anymore. But that's for Golem to say.

Hey yog, wanna push the myraratur republic west of that river when we begin? It would mean no tax on our trade when using the river. It would also be easier since it's NPC now

Well, from what I can find rifles existed quite a bit earlier but weren't any better than muskets for common use for a lot longer. But now that you mention it, I think there are some nations that use riflemen.

Whatever guns were used during the Renaissance is the most modern weapon we have.

Edit: is golem going to create events to keep it interesting?
